No follow up to health issues
I am a female in my 70's. I hired Dave Hompes to help me with gut issues. You needed to hire him for a 6 month period and pay all the funds up front. It was quite expensive, thousands of dollars. Additionally you had to spend over another thousand dollars for lab testing and purchasing of the products he works with. Here is my experience dealing with him:
First I had a reaction from overkill of one of his supplements. I was taking 2 kinds of this supplement at the same time and I broke out all over my face with pus pimples and red blotches. I looked like I had smallpox. I had to completely stop the supplement and it took about a week for my skin to become clear again. Next I had a reaction to another of his supplements. I started having liquid bowel movements- between 6 and 10 daily.
Dave and I spoke half an hour once a week (sometimes every other week). When we talked the week following the reaction he told me to stop the supplement. When this problem continued he told me to stop another 1 or 2 of his supplements in the following weeks that we talked. That was the extent of his involvement. The liquid bowel movements continued for over 3 weeks. If I wanted to go out I had to wear diapers. I had to get a liquid IV because all the liquid inside me was going through me. I wasn't absorbing any of the food or liquid I was taking and was becoming dehydrated. Dave never followed up with emails during the week inquiring how I was doing. Additionally when we spoke, he said that when we hung up he was going to follow up with an email that had some detailed instructions and information for me, but this never happened. There was a total lack of interest or concern on his part. When I hired him I felt there was a 50-50 chance that I would be helped but felt it was worth the try. However I never expected to get much worse and for there to be no interest on his part. I also never expected him to have a one size fits all protocol if his supplements weren't working. I terminated working with him although we were only halfway finished. He had his money in full and absolutely no concern how I was feeling. I could no longer work with him.
