Lies, manipulation and illegal business practices.
Anjana (using a false name of Maxi for much of her business dealings) the owner of David Litchfield, managed properties for my father (prior to his passing) and he had ceased working with her citing some business differences that he felt uncomfortable with. When he passed and due to his ailing health, my sister and I made the poor decision of re-affirming our client relationship with Anjana/Maxi and David Litchfield. What this resulted in was two years of problematic management, whilst she oversaw the refurbishment of two of our properties and the rental of one. Once we had navigated the probate process and grief of losing our father and were able to focus more clearly on timelines and the work that HADN'T been completed by David Litchfield, it became clear that Maxi was operating with a number of incredibly shady business practices. Over-charging us on refurbishment costs, delaying works (the refurbishment of two properties taking well over a year) and adding additional charges for works carried out. Using cowboy builders she was in cahoots with, incidentally whose work has had to be re-done since we ceased using her services due to them cutting major corners, poor quality materials and a number of unfinished aspects to the refurbishment throughout. She weaponised the grief we felt after losing our father, stretched time lines and over-charged on refurbishment works, knowing that due to both myself and my sister living overseas we would not be able to oversee these procedures ourselves and shoddy work would slip by our view (photos provided hid the vast amount of issues we were left with) resulting in immense cost, time and energy. When we terminated her contract, she tried to illegally demand rental funds from tenants (to make up for additional false charges she was claiming), she had her builders illegally enter our premises to rush some aspects of the refurbishment (we have the video evidence to prove this) and she has to date continued to illegally withhold the rental deposit of one of our clients (who I am certain will soon take legal action against David Litchfield). I have taken legal action against her myself issuing cease and desist letters and making official complaints and claims with the Property Ombudsman office to ensure that she cannot rip any other clients off in this manner. This company is wildly ineffectual, they operate illegal business practices and new clients should avoid their services like the plague.
Note: I anticipate a response with a string of lies attached. However, I know nothing will come of their claims because I have a depth of email, photographic and video evidence to corroborate my claims, all of which would result in tens of thousands of pounds worth of payment to us if taken to a court of law. If you ever want to take the matter into the legal courts, I am ready and willing and will gladly bury your business for it's myriad of acts of malpractice Anjana/Maxi. Your behaviour towards us (after years of business as decent clients) was disgusting and I find your lack of morals and ethics deeply disturbing. You would do well to self-assess when and for what reasons you fell to such a immoral state of being.
