The absolute professionalism
Emma O’Reilly was extremely helpful in finding us a late holiday to Greece based on the specific brief we gave her, as it can be a real challenge finding spacious hotel accommodation for three adults. Emma suggested various options and the whole process was made easier by her cheerful disposition, eagerness to help and her detailed knowledge of the resorts and hotels under consideration. We will definitely use Emma’s services again in the future.

I am currently on my third holiday with Destinology as a solo female traveller. Having spent thousands of pounds on each of my trips for the pleasure, in this case that’s definitely sarcasm!
The booking process for this holiday alone was extremely stressful!
This was my second trip to Thailand through Destinology, having gone on a luxury safari to Africa back in December 2025, facing significant faults on my journey home from this trip resulting in me being stranded in Ethiopian airport with myself, and my extremely worried family, unable, despite multiple attempts, to contact the Destinology Emergency Helpline; for 10 hours! As a result of this fault, I was offered money off the current holiday I am on.
The current holiday is turning out to be more of a disappointment and disaster than the last. I had booked a two week holiday to Bangkok and Koh Samui with all my flights and internal transport included. The only parts of my trip that have gone to plan is due to planning and research on my behalf; not the work of Destinology. Before I had left the UK, I had rang the team at Destinology to double check all my internal transfers/ vegi meals were in place. I had this confirmed by email in days prior to my departure. This has turned out to not be the case.
The disasters begun upon my arrival into Bangkok, I was left with very little information regarding where to meet my taxi driver, resulting an a 30 minute march around the very large meeting area in Bangkok Airport ( about the size of the main food hall in Heathrow airport terminal 2), in 35 degree heat with my large suitcase, as a solo disabled female traveler. Once I found the company, I was simply given a ticket, ( written mostly in Thai) with the information on which car I should find to jump into! I was told I was required with my luggage on a trolly to push it up the escalator four flights up, this airport trolly did not lock into the groves, making this extremely dangerous! Once I arrived on the fourth floor, I was greeted with ( no exaggeration) about one hundred cars, all of course with Thai number plates and my ticket written in Thai, I was in a flustered state, pushing my trolly between cars to find my driver. Thankfully, a random, kind Thai driver came to my aid and got out his car to assist me and I then found my taxi.
My hotel in Bangkok was the Anantara Riverside, which I had stayed at in May 2025 on my first holiday with Destinology. I explicitly requested to choose that hotel and so far it’s the only part that’s gone right alongside my flight to Bangkok.
Unfortunately, this is the point where the catalog of disasters began to add up!
Upon my leaving date from
Bangkok to come to Kho Samui, had been provided collection times for each transfer. I was provided with a 7am collection slot; on the morning of the pickup I had a call from the hotel desk stating the driver had arrived at 6:25 and was wondering where I was! I was then flustered and in a rush to checkout for the fear I would miss my flight! The car I was collected in was quite literally falling apart and the driver was required to fix parts before we could set-off!
I am a vegetarian with a slight allergy to chicken products. When confirming my booking and a checking on the week of my departure if my internal flight meals had been booked on behalf ( I was unable to add the internal flight meals myself). I was assured the meals were in place. Once in the air, it became clear this was not the case. I left with no option but to miss out on a lunch I had paid for.
Once I landed in Koh Samui I again faced a similar struggle to find my taxi driver
( thankfully a quieter and smaller airport) but the driver refused to assist with my case leaving me again struggling.
Once at the hotel ( the Amari) the holiday continued to go southwards. I was told the hotel had no booking on my behalf till a day later! After a stressful conversation with hotel staff, and having shown my booking voucher,I was told they could allocate me a room but it was not what I had booked and it wouldn’t be ready for 2/3 hours! I was left sat in 30 degrees without aircon and being left to go and find something to eat, as I was starving hungry having missed breakfast to make my flight and lunch. it was 3 hours and 30 minutes later, before I was taken to a room. Once taken to a room It was found to be uncleaned! I was moved to another room and I now face a wall and a main road, ( not what I had booked! I have ASD and this noise is deeply upsetting for me). I have since been in contact with Destin and the hotel can only offer to downgrade me to a room next to a rubbish dump! I have requested Destinology move me to a new hotel but I am yet to hear anything regarding this, despite ongoing contact to arrange this.
If you are looking for a relaxing and luxury holdout go elsewhere or do all research yourself, they just take the money…
