Extremely bad customer service. Drivers decide how much they charge customers without consulting their office. When main office was contacted, they basically said drivers can decide how much to charge! I was given the price of £15 over the phone from their office. Not long after driver phoned me, he said it should be £17 but he only takes cash and if he drops me at an ATM machine, it will cost £20!!. I refused and suddenly I saw driver driving out of the corner putting a sarcastic smile and drove away because I refused.
Disgusting service. I got another taxi company for £14!
Second time I got disappointed from DG cars in Nottingham.
Never again!

For 2 mornings on the trot my car that I booked 12 hours in advance was over 10 mins late . So I had on 2 occasions fork out extra to get to work. Not good enough for 0630 in in morning on a weekend

My husband and I are fortunate to be able to travel frequently. Rather than park our car at the airport we find it easier to use a pre-booked and pre-paid taxi from and sometimes to the airport. The journey to the airport is usually on time and some of the drivers are mostly friendly. My reason for writing a review is to do with the airport pick up. My negative feedback falls into several categories. Firstly, providing inbound flight times etc has no bearing on the company's ability to be timely. That's even with a call, as directed to do so, from the baggage hall. Waiting for a taxi that is always just two minutes away and in the early hours of a cold morning is not in any way funny!
Secondly, the directions for pick up at the airport are often confusing as is the colour of the vehicle. I would say that I'm very adept at recognising colours, so being told to look out for a gold coloured vehicle, even in the early hours of the morning should be an easy task for anyone. When it turns out to be white though, that's a struggle, even for me!

Thirdly, the customer engagement from the majority of drivers is at best surly. Most can barely squeeze out a sentence to confirm the intended drop off location. Most never offer to help with luggage, even when it's just cabin luggage. As for all driver's taking a different route to the same home location, even though they all appear to be using the same navigation app is baffling. So you've probably guessed that I won't be using DG cars again. My customer service expectations for being punctual, polite and friendly are clearly excessive and therefore impossible and unachievable for DG to meet.

Their customer support is absolutely top-notch. I lost a watch in a taxi, it isn't really expensive but has immense emotional value for me. The driver delivered it to my door the next day and was very professional. Its lovely to have the ability to bypass all the bots and speak to an actual human over the phone, would definitely recommend using them.

Used DG Cars several times when in Nottingham for work. Always on time, clean cars and friendly drivers. Excellent service all round!

Booked a taxi to get into town for a night out with friends. Driver was polite and turned up on time. Also payment was easy as was able to pay by google pay.

Taxi booked in advance for air transfer, driver arrived on time, polite and helpful.

Amazing experience

Needed to organise a last minute 7 seater for an airport run after being let down by another firm. Guy on the phone was really helpful and got one round within 30 minutes, sent a link to my phone so I could pay by card aswell.

1st class service, car on time, clean modern, our helpful and knowledgeable driver Amin couldn't do enough for us. Efficient booking staff gave us a fixed rate into Boston on a bank holiday Monday that the driver honoured. What more could you ask for?

Booked a taxi in advance for a train I had to catch. Taxi didn’t turn up so had to run 2 miles to catch my train. Just made it on time, free phyz 😜 Will not be using this taxi service again. Poor and lack of communication is an under statement!
Still awaiting my refund. 🙄

Booked a taxi back from City hospital. Told the driver cab ID 105 my address and post code and told him to go down the Wells Road. He took me all the way into town and up the Wells Road. I kept telling him he was going the wrong way and it was going to cost me a lot of money and he just kept saying it was quicker. It was not quicker and cost me £4 more than my journey to the hospital. I asked him if he did this to all his passengers as this is not right. He did not respond. I contacted DG as soon as I got in and had a standard we will look into response. I have heard nothing since. All my friends use Uber, I think I will have to join them.
I am so disappointed.

Journey was easy to book by web. Got text on day of journey to say car was on its way and could track by web.

Minibus arrived on time, the minibus was exactly has described an despite it being 3am the driver was friendly and professional

Also a bonus was when booking on the website for the airport transfer I could get a quote without entering email addresses and phone numbers
