Visited Woodcote branch of Dobbies today
As the restaurants have been recently updated we expected some level of air conditioning
Not at all the place including the two restaurants was unbearably hot .
We really couldn’t stay .

Restaurant was awful.
Ordered a quiche and after 40 minutes it still had not arrived. Was offered a refund. Staff seemed uninterested with 6 of them milling about the place. Was told I would just have to go online to complain.
Customer service said they would pass it on but would not provide anymore feedback to me about the complaint. Wont be back

Outdoor plants mostly dead or dying, looked like they hadn't been watered for months, there was a lady watering some plants but not them all?? Looked run down and uncared for and I probably will not returning to buy my garden plants from here any day soon.

I went to Bletchley Dobbies garden center was looking for bean plants and I found very few and most of them nearly dead and I picked two trays and in that 4 of them will not survive also other plants were not healthy and asked for discount and they gave 10% and asked for the manager he bluntly refused to give more discount.i walked away will not visit dobbies again but i bought a cucumber plant which my grand daughter wants otherwise will not get that as well.

Cost of a ciabatta in Liverpool airport £6.95, Cost of similar ciabatta in Dobbies, Speke Liverpool £10 you heard it £10!!!! That’s £20 for my partner and I. We thought we’d pop in before the airport to save paying high airport meal prices. Dobbies what an absolute rip off you thieves of an organisation. Who sets your pricing policy? No trimmings just a warm ciabatta and a small limp salad. I’m not a cheap skate but I know what qualifies as a rip off. As a company you should be ashamed of yourselves. I feel like we were mugged. My advice avoid their restaurant. This is not funny guys you’ll lose customers fast from your blatant profiteering. Shocking.!!!

I've been a customer for many years and enjoy the place in Brighton a lot. Slow and calm and good plants

But this week I've been charged 100 pounds for over staying in their car park.

Crazy! They encourage us to take our time with a lovely cafe and apparently there are signs but I've never seen them (tbh you don't think of this at a loved garden centre)

Anyway, very expensive fine and apparently nothing that even head office can do to cancel it.

Great plants and I've loved my time there but £100 is a lot of money for a fine.

Please be careful if you're going to enjoy a restful calm afternoon there.

The soft play is ripped and torn, very dangerous when small children are left to play. It’s also extremely dirty, the surfaces, the floor and the cups and saucers were not clean.
Add the staff who never smile or speak it’s a thoroughly unpleasant hour. We will not be returning

Just bought a barbecue from here very helpful staff . Barbecue.was reasonably.
Priced . Will definitely return 👍

The garden centre choice of shrubs and plants were limited with many showing signs of neglect. Some of the plants had no labels which meant I had to keep referring to my phone for information. Even asking a member of staff for advice proved futile. I made the mistake of deciding to eat in the restaurant, the roast meal was tasteless. The pork was fatty and the gravy non descript. With the amount of garden centres within the area I will not be returning to this one.

I bought two levington grow bags advertised as organic.
They are nit organic.
Had to do a 40 mjn round trip to return them.

Truly dreadful experience.

I purchased garden furniture which, when the delivery team came to my home to deliver, they couldn't find in the van.

I cancelled that order and got a refund. The same items then came on sale at Dobbies. I repurchased over two weeks ago and have not received my order despite being told it has been dispatched. I've contacted customer services multiple times and have always been told the team are looking into it. Today I receive an automated email saying "I'm sorry to hear you wish to cancel your order." I'm sorry? What?

Long story short. Don't bother.

What on earth is going on with this place!! I am a keen gardener & I was horrified at the state of the plants,they do need water to survive!! It’s a GARDEN CENTRE,they must be loosing so much profit,throwing dead plants away with lack of water.Needless to say I didn’t buy anything & will not be back.

Ordered a Preplanted basket on line for £24.99. Came weeks later. Small green hanging plant pot with about 5 plants in. Absolutely shocking for amount paid.

Each time we visit Dobbies Tewkesbury its the same old thing, the lack of cleanliness in male and female toilets!! They are filthy and stink! I don't want to go in them let alone take my grandchildren! They shoukd be checked and signed EVERY hour! Cleanliness is not rocket science, for goodness sake get this sorted! 2 June 2026

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Mark@Dobbies garden centre Lasswade who helped myself and my neighbour pick out plants for a memorial garden. Mark has tremendous knowledge and so helpful whilst maintaining a professional manner. Cheers Mark

Bought an outdoor furniture set which when it arrived had a defective table, had to wait over 3 weeks for a replacement to be delivered which was also had the same defect when it was unpacked, customer service seem very insincere and didn't seem in the slightest bit concerned that 2 tables had exactly the same defect. Currently waiting for another replacement...

Unlike some people, we never complain, but the restaurant in Dobbies Shrewsbury was appalling yesterday. My husband’s cod was so dried up and the batter was beyond crispy - impossible to cut. He eventually gave up trying. The pastry on my quiche also couldn’t be cut - rock hard.
With drinks we were charged just under £40 for the privilege. In future we may call in for a cuppa whilst browsing/ buying in the shop but until major improvements have been made we will not be eating there.

First and last time I'll use Restaurant. Food arrived cold . Quality of food was not worth the money. Staff were rude . Not a very welcoming environment. Could be doing with a good clean . Would not recommend.

Awful place the plants are dry and some look dead. Staff on the tills acting rude and unprofessional.

Some staff when asked questions could not answer these.

The store looks very empty of customers and run down.

More better garden centres around will be avoiding.

Management team comes across rude and like they do not care .

Ordered a outdoor table and chairs to be delivered, was supposed to be getting delivered within 5 working days, however Iam still waiting and the delivery company have yet to receive my order. Rang Dobbies customer service but it was a waste of time, got cut off 3 times and was given a different excuse each time why i did not have my table.
Finally recieved the table however the quality is disgusting, can see lumps of glue all around the edge of the table and the table was all stained. The boxes it came in were all battered and had gaping holes in. Complained to Dobbies customer service they had a did not care attitude, offered a refund but would have to get the table back to the store myself ( however my table was delivered to my home i did not pick it up from the store) or they can send another but no rush to send it out i will have to wait another week and wait in seperatly for the knackered table to be picked up ( no option for this if just wanted a refund). Safe to say myself and family would never buy furniture from Dobbies ever again.
