My eye test at the medical was an absolute joke no proper eye chart and had to use short distance reading glasses .to read the chart.so failed went to specsavers and passed with flying colours.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate the five stars and are pleased that apart from your concerns about the eye test you are otherwise very satisfied.
We certainly don’t take a light-hearted view of any part of the medical examination. It is a serious responsibility for the doctor to assess a person’s fitness to drive large vehicles on the public roads and it is not a joking matter.
Your eyesight test was done with a standard DVLA approved eyesight chart. I agree wasn’t ideal for you to try and pass the test with the wrong glasses, although the doctor did try very hard to get you through.
It was eventually agreed that you’d have to have another test and take your distance glasses along with you so that we could be sure that when you did have the correct glasses you could pass. I’m glad it worked out for you in the end.

Easy to book. Short of a proper waiting area at the medical, but all went as it should have done.
