I bought a 20,000 car that is giving me so many problems and I’ve only had the vehicle a few months. The car needed a new battery, it still needs a new fan for the A/C to work properly, I have a bad sensor, it needs new spark plugs, and who knows what else it might need. If you are in a rush to get a vehicle please thinks twice about going to this place seriously! Life is way too hard right now! If I could give them 0 stars I would. But I guess we live and we learn.

The Car Salesmen (Kirk T. ) was very professional in explaining the Truck process. Would recommend Drive Time to purchase a vehicle to anyone.
I purchased a car on 02.13.26, with Isaiah at the Dallas branch. The car was a 2019 Nissan Versa. The car was gradually leaking brake fluid, until it was finally out and it hard a hard time stopping. I had my 2 year in the car with me at the time and the car wouldn’t stop. I went to the dealership to get help and was told to take it to a shop because it was still under warranty. When I called to speak with the manager, Ross, about it he was in a meeting. Ross did call me back and did not seem to offer any assistance due to being out of the 5 days of being able to return the car. In my brief conversation with him, he offered a backhanded apology and seemed bothered that I even said anything in the first place.
I am highly upset, and to not even have the care for 30 days and ALL the brake fluid was gone, is unacceptable.

Since I purchased the 2020 GMC Terrian it has been the worst. I purchased the vehicle at the DriveTime location on LBJ Fwy in Dallas TX. I guess the one star can go to Eldon the sales guy cause what a number he put on us. Stating he had purchased the same vehicle the same make and model but I didn’t ask if he purchased it through Drive Time. I purchased the vehicle on December 31, 2025 and the check engine light came on as I drove it home. Warning before destruction and I didn’t catch it. Took it to the authorized dealership and he stated it was the tire sensor and they fixed it. I thought ok but then it was a problem with the ignition a week later and we took it back to the shop twice before they figured out it was a fuse. Boom changed it and thought ok. I’m a courier and I have to travel up and down the highways city to city and to have a $20,000 vehicle that’s not reliable is not cool. While driving on the freeway without any warning the vehicle jumps to neutral then to park and died on me. Would not start. I’m literally in the middle of Empire Central and I35 I had to get a tow truck to come get this newly purchased vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the authorized dealership there he stated he had to do some rewiring. The same week that Saturday after thinking finally everything is good while driving the car again without notice it jumps to neutral again and then dies on me in the middle of the street. Would not start or nothing. I sat there a few minutes and finally it started back. Now I’m frustrated. Remember it hadn’t even been 30 days. Each time I am calling the dealership which they in return calls the authorized mechanic and for me to take it there. i take it back there again and they can’t find anything wrong with the vehicle. Once again I’m out working and luckily this time at a business when it goes into neutral again then to park and died. Because I’m blocking employees at this company they suggest I take the battery off and reset it and it may start which it did. I take it straight to the authorized mechanic shop he keeps it for a couple of days and still don’t have an answer why it’s doing that. Contacted the dealer ship spoke to the manager Karl Brown who instructed me to now take it to a GMC dealership and have them to check it and if they show it’s not repairable I could get out of the contract since the vehicle was still under warranty. Again all this within 30 days of purchasing the vehicle. Since being out of town my son attempts to take the vehicle to GMC for me it wouldn’t start, AGAIN. I had to instruct him to take the battery off to reset it in order for the vehicle to start. Legacy GMC ran diagnostics and drove the vehicle and not to my surprise that it did the same thing when the manager drove the vehicle. Diagnostic completed and I was informed that the vehicle wasn’t repairable. This is what DriveTime said that they needed to know and I thought finally this nightmare was over. Nope!!!! Getting the run around. Call DriveTime no call SilverRock and Silver Rick says call DriveTime. Karl Brown the manager is now no longe there. Silver Rock is now stating that we need to tell GMC to have a specialist look at the vehicle but aren’t the mechanics there certified. Basically they are wanting to stick me with a $20,000 vehicle doesn’t run that I had for 3o days. Missed 15 unpaid days from work and I’m stuck without a vehicle and I did everything they told me to do only to get to the end of the process and they add something else. I suggest anybody who needs a vehicle not to go to DriveTime is a rip off and they are not to be trusted. How can you do this to struggling people who just trying to make a living? I will be presuming other measures because it’s not right and I will continue to let people know so they won’t have to have this awful nightmare to happen to them. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I know they will reply and say you have 5 days to check the car out but I took it to their mechanic the next day after purchasing and they didn’t see any issues. Called customer service no help. I have to have a vehicle to work. Each day it stopped on me or it was in the shop I lost work. I’m a self contractor employee I get paid from what I do. It has now been at GMC since February 2nd and it’s still there not running. Please God fix the situation because it’s stressful and my heart can’t take it. How can people sleep at night doing this to people? Fix it Jesus

This was my second time having to purchase a car from DriveTime first time wasn't too bad I did end up driving it back in for voluntary repo due to extreme high interest rate 19% . Second time was 2 years ago purchasing my current vehicle which only had 48 000 miles when I bought it. A little over the 30 day limited warranty ended the control arm would proceed to snap, with visible rusted marks that damaged the control arm and wa informed that none of the parts up front were original meaning this car was damaged and no safety inspection was done before they put it on the lot. Fast forward to about a month ago car started feeling weird while driving, result the CVT's going out as they found metal shavings in the transmission fluid,that DriveTime lied and told me these didn't run on a CVT because I'd been told by few to stay away from those type of transmissions, I would've never bought it. I was lied to by DriveTime as well as this vehicle was sold at way over value, due to me not even having car for 2 years and be $-10000 upside down in payments?? This car w a running transmission is Blue book valued including depreciation $8,700 I still owe $19,000 on the score and I've had it for most two years doesn't add up I know the interest is outrageous but it to me over 2.5 years to become upside down in payments and only 2,000 in my last DriveTime vehicle at same interest rate. I was just in a desperate situation and they were my only option
