Feels like a scam: broken registration, no support, and EU funding concerns
I first contacted e-charge / Renovatio customer support about registration problems a year ago. I never received a reply.
Now, in July 2026, the app has been updated, but the same basic problems still exist. I still cannot properly use the service. The app says I need to confirm my account and tells me to “check your mail inbox to confirm the registration”, but no confirmation email is ever sent — not to my inbox, spam, or junk folder.
Trying to register again also does not work and only results in error messages.
This is not a minor bug. If users cannot register, confirm their account, log in, or get help from customer service, the charging network is effectively unusable.
The fact that the company states it is co-funded by the European Union makes this even more concerning. After a year, and even after an app update, the most basic functionality still does not work. From a customer’s perspective, this feels like a scam rather than a serious charging service.
I would strongly advise other EV drivers, especially foreign travellers, not to rely on this network.
