Eco Shield Pest Control Reviews 

Do not hire them. They solicit door to door and have a good sales pitch. Promise things they cant deliver which we found out later. (Previously we had Fox Pest Control for years and they were great.) Our biggest problem were stink bugs which we specified when we discussed their services. When I called Ecoshield to address the problem they told me they dont treat stink bugs. Customer service is pathetic. Stay away!

If you’re looking to pay a monthly subscription to get bitten in your sleep and babysit a private bug zoo, EcoShield is definitely the company for you.
I’ve had these clowns for over six months, and the pests are thriving so much I think they’re claiming my address on their taxes. Every single time a tech actually shows up, I get fed the same tired, scripted fairy tale: “Give it two weeks, sir, it’s attacking the larvae!” Well, it’s been months, the larvae have graduated college, and the bugs are running the place.
My wife literally woke up with ants having a track meet across her body, topped off with a spider bite on her arm. But don't worry, the ants outside are doing great too—they’re building luxury high-rises right through the decorative cracks in my front walkway. And when we had centipedes marching through the house and called to complain? EcoShield rushed right over—if your definition of “rushing” is waiting a full month for someone to bother showing up. Stellar emergency response.
The real cherry on top, though, is their top-tier wildlife division. We’ve got a groundhog in the yard roughly the size of a mountain lion, and EcoShield’s master solution was dropping off a glorified live mouse trap. The entrance hole is so comical that the groundhog probably uses it as an ashtray.
Between paying top dollar for bug bites in our own bed, a 30-day waiting list to get ignored, and traps designed by someone who has clearly never seen an animal larger than a hamster, EcoShield is a total racket. Do what I have to do take your money, run, and buy some bug spray at the gas station or the Dollar Store —it’ll do ten times the work these guys do.

Matt did an excellent job at our home inside and outside our home. He was thorough and we truly appreciate his expertise!

One month old customer and i canceled my service. As like all the other reviews had to pay cancelation fee with was not clearly mentioned. After i got my first service i waited 2 weeks before i called to have them come out again because my issue didn't improve, I'm still waiting for that follow up service customer service keep saying they are totally book and didn't have an eta when someone could come out. Don't waste your money if i could have given 0 stars i would. Totally disappointed.

Do not trust anything this company tells you. All lies from beginning to end. Very dissatisfied. Called to cancel service and was immediately debited 250.00 from my account after being told we would be billed the cancellation fee. Of course they never mention a contract when they knock on your door.

Tried canceling and hoping they would wave the fee to cancel but was declined due to contract. Understand however my husband died Tuesday, its Thursday. Strongly don't recommend this company due to lack of compassion, empathy or sympathy. Greed over people.

Horrible customer service!
1) First time came out with very little impact on ant problem

2) Called and they came out again. But the technician started talking about my initial assessment. And I said “There was no initial assessment. The guy came out and sprayed and set some gel on the countertops for the ants, but never did the type of assessment you’re describing.” so the initial assessment was done at the second appointment.

3) Ant problem worse than ever. For the first time in 13 years living in this house, we opened up our cabinet and saw our garbage can filled with hundreds and hundreds of ants.

4) called them up. It turns out my next quarterly treatment was just right around the corner, so they moved it up. They told me they would be here 8 AM precisely. But nobody showed up, and when I called, they told me my appointment was for 9:30.
5) rescheduled the appointment for a few days later, but they said on the phone they could not tell me an exact time. Was so fed up, I called to cancel my account and they told me I had signed a 12-month contract, so there’d be a termination fee, which equated to probably the last two treatments I would have to get.

Do not I repeat don’t use ecoshield. Very poor customer support. and the results are negligible

I strongly recommend thinking twice before signing up with this company. I gave them a chance with four of my rental properties, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating.

They failed to show up at two of the properties, and several things I was told by the salesperson when signing up never happened.

When I decided to cancel the service, I was told I would be charged $250 per property because the properties were not all placed under one account—even though all four properties are in my name and all of the services were started on the same day.

After speaking with customer service, they agreed to credit one of the $250 charges, but I am still being told I owe $750 to cancel.

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I am being asked to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel a service that I did not consistently receive as promised.

I hope the company reconsiders these charges and resolves this situation fairly. I would strongly encourage anyone considering their service to carefully review the terms and make sure everything promised by the salesperson is documented in writing.

This company is a total scam. I recommend not doing business with them. I paid for 4 months and wanted to cancel because I had an insect infestation and they insisit that I pay an early termination fee. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Looks like my take is same as everyone elses. Aggressive sales men (Gael) but very professional. signed a contract that I didnt want. I just wanted an initial spray. Scheduled initial service for 7pm and they showed up at 5. No one was home so they did no treatment inside. Had to reschedule that and they showed up at the wrong time again. paying $60 a month but not getting treatment like i was explained. Called to cancel and customer service is terrible. They offer no help just want you to give them another chance with no offer of any compensation towards your account. 10 out of 10 would not recommend them at all

DO NOT sign up with them. I's a scam and they lock in a contract that you have to pay out to them even if you try to cancel.

I had to pay $300 to cancel stupid contract they had me sign. Eco shield never completed their first service at my address. They only did the outside, and we’re supposed to come back for the inside. I took days off work for them to come inside, and each time they never showed up. Now I have to pay $300 to cancel my contract .$300 is more than what I signed up for.

This company is not able to schedule, or meet their own commitments, the only one who ends up paying the price is the customer!

These guys have no idea what they’re doing and make you jump through hoops to try and cancel your service

Initial contact with their “call center” was a high pressure sale for yearly contract. But made it clear I only wanted “1 treatment “. Appointment setup…but communication of time and date very poor. Initial treatment by first technician for yellow jackets was poor at best…spent 20 minutes barely treating area. Told me “give it 3 - 5 days”. No difference with bee activity over 6 DAYS. Called for “touch up”. Told them I needed a “more aggressive treatment”. Next appointment Rich Formanski showed up and HE WAS AWESOME! He first shot the insecticide dust into ALL entry areas…not just the one. Then He went the extra mile! He suited up to get right in and shot more dust into the eaves and ALL POSSIBLE ENTRY points I showed him where the nest potentially was and we started seeing bees come out covered in dust…aka “sugar cookies”. The bees were GONE by afternoon!! NO ACTIVITY! And not back since. Thank God for Rich Formanski! He knows what he’s doing! Otherwise I’d be calling the BBB.

Wish I could give negative amount of stars! This company is awful! The person comes to your door and doesn't give you the correct information to begin with. After saying no I don't want the service several times. I just wanted him to leave so I finally just said OK… He said I would be billed quarterly, which turns out I'm being billed monthly for a service that I'm only receiving quarterly! And then trying to contact customer service to set up a payment arrangement since obviously I was told the wrong amount, is a total nightmare! You can only speak to agents from overseas and they don't understand what you're talking about. Set up a payment arrangement about 10 times but then when I call back, they don't see a payment arrangement. However the calls are recorded??? But no one ever seems to be able to find anything. I would not recommend them at all unless you want to have the biggest headache in the world! I would rather live with the bugs than these people!

They over promise and under deliver. They have good sales people that’s about it. Also customer service is difficult to schedule a “touch up” service. I had to reach back to them to remind them to schedule it!!! Then they schedule it a week out. Way to NOT meet expectations

If I could give Ecoshields a negative amount of stars, I would. Run away from this company not only do they lie about being able to cancel your contract with no fees They do a terrible job at what they say they’re going to do. I stuck with this company for almost a whole entire year. Still had spiderwebs all over my house. Nobody got them off then when I decided I wanted to cancel early they told me a price asked me if they could charge my card the price that they gave me, I said yes, and they charged my debit card more than what they asked me and I authorized for. I disputed with my bank and won (obviously because that’s fraud and illegal) had someone email me from Ecoshields apologizing, saying they would give me my money back, but my bank already did and that they hoped I would give them another chance because they’re under new management..BUT NOW ARE TRYING TO BILL ME AGAIN AND SAY BASICALLY THAT I DIDN’T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO DISPUTE AND THEY WANT THEIR MONEY OR THEY’RE GOING TO SEND IT TO COLLECTIONS. And on top of it said they were going to call me back and never did but yet still have people calling me about paying them so stay away.

Pay attention to all the bad reviews. My experience was similar to most of them. Aggressive salesman, offered a 12-month contract in order to get me to sign, but then found they had switched it to a 24-month contract. Salesman (Cooper Banks) also assured that if I wasn't happy I could cancel any time with no penalty. Obviously that was a lie. I had to cancel my payment method to keep them from stealing my money every month. Oh, and I still have bugs.

Was visited by a salesman, to control ants and mice on my property. I live in the country surrounded by fields
I took a few days to think about it.

Then decided to contract them for one year if they did fine I would keep them.
Initially they did fine on the first two visits, but afterwards things became worse. Also you never get the same technician, and they all don't a good job.

The ants became worse the mice control wasn't too bad.
Had the come out for follow ups (touch ups) the ants just kept getting worse. Once I satisfied my one year contract this is where it gets worse they just keep scheduling more appointments even after you call and cancel.
BTW they will just keep trying to do free touch ups and when they don't work and you call back to cancel they will do anything to keep you from cancelling the service I told them 3 times to cancel.
Everytime they just want to offer you options to keep you a paying customer for life.

They won't let you cancel so I just hung up beforehand I them told them not to come to my property anymore. Texted them as well.
They are a Nightmare Zombie company that won't stop pestering you.
Never agree to use their services ever!
You will regret it.
