My experience with ellisons driving was incredible, had zero complications with booking lessons or tests and it helped that my driving instructor Stan was the best I could have asked for and was the most helpful person week in week out of my driving. Would 100% recommend ellisons driving for everyone.

I went to Ellisons as a recommendation from Google. I was allocated Paul Falloon as my trainer. I failed my HGV test on observation, mainly things he hadnt tought me. After failing my test his attitude towards me changed, he started getting nasty with things taking a real turn for the worst.
Please, if you are thinking of training for your HGV DO NOT GO WITH HIM

I’m so happy! With the training I had with trainer Jason! Made me feel at ease and comfortable! We had a laugh! Whilst getting the training done needed for me to pass! I couldn’t recommend him or the team enough! Very satisfied with the service!

I was thinking the best way to leave a review about Ellisons, and I think the best way is the one which you clearly and straight, describe a company to make easy to others to make up their mind and feel confident in use a company or not. So on that note I would like to say: No matter to who wants to become a lorry or a bus Driver, At Ellisons everyone is WELL WELCOMED and the team since day one received us with open arms, making very easy for you to introduce yourself and go forward with everything what is needed within they instructions for you to succeed in your test and Exams. I am doing my HGV Category 1 and since the beginning Paul, Mark, Ben was saying at all time that (We are here for you, we are here to help you to gain knowledge and pass your test) and so far everyone is thriving with success day by day.

The team at Ellisons Commercial Training Ltd are second to none. Recently started my hgv boot camp to pass my class 1, and I cannot fault them at all, the knowledge they have put across in the bootcamp helps massively, all the guys are friendly, if your struggling they are always there to help out where needed.

Can't recommend them enough, was very nervous about taking the journey into doing my license but they made it way less daunting and put me at ease.

I have just enrolled on a boot camp with Ellisons for my class 1 they are brilliant I wouldn't recommend anyone else friendly easy to talk to and always happy to help which makes it easier nice people.

I had been accepted onto the skills bootcamp run be Ellison’s to gain a class 2 license, the classroom based training has been massively beneficial in getting me through my theory and hazard perception, all staff absolutely know their stuff and any questions or queries are answered quickly. All round a great experience and I’m looking forward to exciting opportunities in a new career

I recently started the HGV Skills Bootcamp with Ellisons Commercial Training Ltd as I want to get my Class 1 licence. The guys have made everything so easy, from the application process through to booking the theory, CPC and Practical lessons. I big shout out to Paul, Bradley and Ben who have all been very patient with me, answering my many questions in a very prompt manner. I have now passed the theory part and looking forward to starting with the practical lessons in July.

I was selected for the HGV Bootcamp, moving from car to Class 1. Throughout the application process and training, Ellisons have been excellent. The course is well organised with training resources who are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I can’t recommend Ellison Training School highly enough. I recently enrolled in a Skills Bootcamp to pursue my HGV Class 1 licence, and from day one, the support I received from the entire team has been outstanding.
The training began with the theory stage, and whenever I had questions or needed clarification, the team was always on hand to help. Their guidance played a key role in helping me pass the theory test with confidence.
Following my theory success, I was promptly contacted to arrange my practical test, which is now fully booked. Throughout the course, the dedication of the trainers stood out—especially their willingness to offer extra support, including weekend classroom sessions. Their commitment truly went above and beyond expectations.
I'm incredibly grateful to the whole team at Ellison Training School for making this journey such a positive experience. Thank you!

What a great company all round well organised team and especially my trainer Jason what a guy and so calm and a complete legend very patient and a pleasure to be around keep up the hard work I certainly would recommend this company to everyone

Jason taught me to drive the class 2 rigid lorry, he was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. He made me feel at ease from day 1, his feedback was very helpful and he has the patience of a saint! Did my hgv training with Jay and the team at ellisons. It's one of the best training experiences I've had. The teaching of real world situations with hgv's puts you a step ahead when you make it out on the road. Jay was fantastic and gave me all the direction I needed to complete my tests. 10/10 would recommend

Absolutely first class. If you are researching for the perfect company to do your hgv license with, stop looking because you have found them.

I reached out to Ellison's after passing my theory at the beginning of February and spoke to a gent called Bradley, top bloke who really knows his stuff. He explained the whole process and answered all of the questions I had. They had good availability and Literally booked me in for my class 1 training for 2 weeks later.

I went down a couple of days before hand to see the lorry ect and met Bradley and Paul Ellison, I was very nervous and they helped eased my nerves ahead of my first training day.

On my first day I met my trainer who they call "Badge" (there is 3 Paul's) who instantly made me feel comfortable (I was very very nervous). What an absolutely lovely guy. You can just see how much he loves his job and his passion for it, it definitely shows in his training. Had me driving round taunton town center in an artic lorry in my first few hours of training.

On the second day I had the reverse training which I had another trainer called Paul Fallon. Again an absolute gem. Lovely guy, calm, clear and had me perfected the reversing by the end of the day ( I passed the reverse test the next day first time)

Had badge for the rest of the training, and despite my extreme test day nerves I passed 1st time with only 2 minors! Considering that the first time pass rate is something like 58% this just shows the kind of training these guys provide.

The whole experience was brilliant, I enjoyed every second of it and I just love how it's family run and just feels so much more welcoming (as opposed to some other companies that cold call you and has more of a commercial feel)
