I would highly recommend Ethical Consumer magazine as a reliable and well researched guide to making the most informed choices about how to live ethically and sustainably. It is invaluable in exposing the true facts about unscrupulous activity among corporates, military regimes and other organisations which seek to profit in an unjust and underhand way, exploiting humanity, the ecology and environment. This is so important for our climate and ecological crisis.

Very informative in a friendly fashion. Well researched and explains its decisions for recommendations and boycotts. I just love it.

I have been buying the ethical consumer since it was first published and I never purchase any goods without first checking the companies ethical credentials.
I find the format easy to understand and I am able to gather the information that matches my ethical values.

As a subscriber since the early 1990s I've always valued Ethical Consumers' objective and thorough analysis of corporate ethics. As situations and society have changed over time, EC has continued to evolve and stay up to date with campaigns, public opinion and current knowledge.

Ethical Consumer has long been, and continues to be, the clear leader in the field of helping consumers to understand the ethical and environmental implications of their purchases. It's a great read and every issue is a real eye-opener!

Over many years I have found Ethical Consumer a trustworthy source of information that helps me make decisions about the goods and services that I buy. Their reports fearlessly tackle big issues and big businesses (Dyson recently) and they provide clear supporting evidence for their judgements. Their BDS updates, about businesses that support Israel in the oppression of Palestinians, are very helpful. And I like the open way they deal with questions, feedback and criticism in their Letters section.

I love Ethical Consumer's reviews and guidance. It's the first place I go when thinking about purchasing, particularly larger items and their ratings system is comprehensive and easy to follow.

I’ve been an Ethical Consumer subscriber for many years now. Living in a way that causes as little harm as possible is a very important value to me, so the The Ethical Consumer is an indispensable guide on how to do so. I’ve learned an enormous amount about the environmental, social and political impact my consumer choices have through it and use it as my guide before I buy anything and everything!

I am an avid reader - and more importantly "responder" to the work of Ethical Consumer i.e. we change our shopping and banking habits according to the issues raised in your investigations. My wife Gill is a Fairtrader for Traidcraft. We are both passionate in making a difference. I wish the EC could make the same sort of impact as Which? has done. We used to be Which? members but they concentrate far too much on Value for Money issues - which means "cheap". I implore EC to push into the "investigative " market place harder - get involved in supply chain debates in the press and online - not just through supporters like us but out there in the lion' den!! There is such apathy about around shopping!! We hammer on to our friends about ethical issues but it is like pushing a steam roller!!!! We tell them about Ethical Consumer and give copies to them - but a lot of the time the "horses don't drink!!!"

I have subscribed to Ethical Consumer for several decades and it has helped guide me towards a more sustainable, low carbon lifestyle. I have also used it to aid me in making ethical choices as a consumer, from energy suppliers to cosmetic products and putting my money where I want it to go.
I also very much enjoy the balanced views they express regarding the ethics of politics and company's, very enlightening and up to date.
The on-line guide is a fantastic resource.

They explain really well how they make choices, why they make recommendations (or not!), and they are honest about the limits of their work. A really fantastic tool fory everyday (ethical) life!
