Utter Shambles
Bought used car 22/08/2026 - was asked to pay upfront £5k before I had even seen it or got to the dealership.
I drove home, turbo failed 2 hours after. Was told it cannot be repaired until September 23 at an other location. Told not entitled to refund either (false)
Complaint raised.

Over 40 years of excellent service
I have dealt with this company for over 40 years and have never had any problems. I have always bought my new cars from them and had them serviced and MOT done. The staff are great and go over and above to help. Would not go elsewhere.

Still no joy with this company after phone calls and emails to resolve the problem. To top it all off had the car compounded due to no road tax.

I bought a 3 year old car from Evan’s…
I bought a 3 year old car from Evan’s Halshaw Vauxhall Middlesbrough, the experience at the start was friendly and was given a coffee straight away. Our salesman was Arnold, a young and very polite young man who could answer all our questions professionally. We where than handed over to the finance manager even though we didn’t require any finance?. The finance manager then gave us the hard sell, trying to convince us to take out a 3 year warranty. We stated straight away we did not want a 3 year warranty as we have family who will do any repairs we need. The pressure put on my 65 year old brother to take out cover on these items was desperation from the finance manager, we then had to sit through him trying to get my brother to change his mind using suggestions like, I would not let my mother drive out of here without a full warranty! surely if I say NO it should mean NO. Besides that tense 15 minutes where we made it clear we don’t want the warranty, the service from Arnold was exceptional.
