Everlast Gyms - Nottingham Reviews 33

I was going to join this gym because my partner had and at first he thought it was a good place, albeit a bit dated. However, they have been deceptive with their memberships, telling him that he would be able to switch from the £40 membership to the £35 if he did not enjoy the hyrox classes. Since he joined 2 months ago, they have cancelled most of the classes so he hasn’t been able to attend them anyway. When he asked to move down to the £35 membership, they then backtracked and refused to change it. Will be avoiding this gym and I recommend you do too because from the other reviews it sounds as though things are constantly broken and service is poor.

I am a new member he and bought the champion membership. I started at the gym and after speaking to sam (Head Coach) who was pleasant initially i decided to purchase a full P.T Package @ £150 at the beginning of may which included myzone free products plus extra benefits and a certain amount of P.T Sessions.

We are now at the end of may nearly a full month! I have had no e of the products since purchasing, I had an initial email from Sam (Head Coach), then after asking in branch to another member of staff (as sam wasnt available) that i would need sam to contact me so i could talk through previous injuries i had nothing at all not contact & no email. Also since staff have been pretty off with me unless i have approached them and made a point of asking them something!

I sent an email 3 days ago and told them i wanted my money back this was just after getting home from the gym and sam fully blanking me at reception!
Suddenly after asking for a refund i get an email from sam saying how it had been a while and wanted to book some sessions with no mention of the fact he had made no contact all month or the fact i had received no products included or the fact he fully blanked me with a sour face just the day before!!
I was then told by the manager Tom over email i wasnt eligible for a refund and he tried to push the blame onto me and how they were still waiting on myzone products even though one had been handed to a customer the day before!
I asked for a head office address from Tom but avoided that but did state he would pass it on to his area mnager but 3 days on and no email or contact about when the area manager will be in touch!!

I have emailed head office & this review will be posted to every review site i can find and i will also be adding to social media and other sources until i receive my refund!

Other issues:
The steam room tiles are slimy & filthy with scum on the uprights for the seating, the male showers and toilets smell like an s.t.i outbreak (a strong crabby cheesy smell & this isnt a one off they have been like that since i joined)

They make it so hard to cancel your membership, was such a confusing and difficult process and I ended up getting charged double even though I sent emails and said over the phone

Currently a member, went Monday 1/12

Over crowded could get in any thing
Classes always fully booked
Changing rooms a right mess, wet tissue over floors and benches, urinals over flowing, have just handed notice to leave

Was a member of ROKO for years and loved the ethos. New owners have ruined the experience and made it purely a meat head gym.

Been attending Roko (previous name) for years as a happy customer. The take over by Everlast has been shambolic in regards to Swimming lessons. Have quit and going elsewhere. Feel sorry for the staff that are having to deal with the fallout.

Nottingham West Bridgford club (was Roko). Not so good. Broken showers, missing door to ladies changing room, and regular closures of outdoor pool & other facilities for days or more. (No rebate/refund offered even if this means you cant use the club for the intended activity.) Swimming pool sometimes taken over by ball players. A shame about all the problems because the staff are nice.

Pools and saunas need retiling. Showers need upgrading, need blinds to stop you falling over on the tread mills cos of the sun. no fault with the gym equipment. Can NEVER get a reply from customer services about an upgrade..

Joined several months ago and within a few weeks the steam room not working, got told they were waiting for a part, 3 months later it worked for 1 week then broke again, it's not very clean and the showers always smell , also the recliners broke I asked if they were getting new ones was told they were on order 6 .months ago still not arrived, now the steam room has not been working for 3 weeks and no sign of it being repaired given a different excuse every time I ask, the manager is patronising and doesn't care fobs you off, the gym is loud dark dirty and you can never get on the equipment, don't join you will be disappointed Iv left now. Head office never reply to complaints a complete joke of a gym..

Staff on reception are very friendly always welcome members with a smile and hello (this is what business is all about)

Trainers keep self to them self unless training someone (could smile say hello more but im not the most approachable person when training so understandable)

Steam room/pool and communication behind when being fixed is poor, hardly ever works , group email should go out with updates to prevent turning up thinking its working

Everlast Gym Nottingham, where to even start. I have been a member for 4 months and so far the steam room has broken down 9 times with any where from a few days to 2 weeks to fix. Pool has broken twice (so the water temp drops to about 20c or below) again takes weeks to fix. Complained a dozen or so times but just get fobbed off. Their customer service team at HQ also don't give a toss. The second my membership term is up I will cancel and never go back.

Good range of equipment at the Nottingham everlast gym. Good changing areas. Unfortunately the toilets always stink, even when clean, the steam room is always broken, some staff can't be bothered and are unhelpful. One lady lied for 4 days about not having printer ink cause she could be bothered to print out my QR code, and the place is dark and gloomy with black walls and poor lighting. Reminds me of Barlinnie prison, but they had a better gym 🤣

The recently refurbished gym is good.
The showers are not clean and always have broken and empty shower gel dispensers.
The pool is excellent but the jacuzzis have been removed and the steam room is a disgrace; missing tiles, very dirty and no grout on the floor so a haven for bacteria.

I have been using everlast for the last couple of months, I have a bad back and the pool is ideal if you have mobility problems as you can just walk into the pool via the accessible steps, it's helped me be able to go and walk in the water in preparation for my next operation, I also had a pt session today with kieran, I have quite specific needs and he had put alot of thought into my session, really enjoying everlast atm, would recommend.

Awful gym, dirty, equipment breaks and stays broken for weeks management only care about stats and numbers couldn’t careless about the well-being of the gym users, classes are always being cancelled or having times changed so can never stay in routine, there’s always issues with the pool and/or steam room, good job pure gym is opening not to far away,

Shocking gym, far too busy and can literally get on nothing. Tried to cancel but because im 3 days over my cooling period they say im locked in. Ridiculous customer service

Not a great fan of protein shakes ,however after sampling the new chocolate and cherry flavour I’m hooked . Packed full of flavour , pleasant surprise fantastic post workout energy boost . You have won me over everybody go try, you’re going to love it

Amazing place to train and achieve your goals. Good friendly team, very helpful. Smoothies are great after a workout

When you try to speak to management obour issues they never address these problems
