It was discovered during my MOT 3 days after my service that the break pads were put in backwards!! Thankfully the MOT was changed to a separate day, or I wouldn’t have known!

Everything went swimmingly, and the staff was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend them.

After experiencing a blown tyre on the A14 in rush hour, we managed to "limp" to the Formula One Garage in Histon Road with the help of the RAC at 5.30pm. I cannot praise Owen, the assistant manager enough for kindly staying late and replacing the tyre that had melted onto the alloy, ensuring that we managed to get on our way and make the 30 + miles home safely. Owen could not have been more helpful, polite and selfless, an asset to Formula one !! .. ps price was very reasonable too.

Just a headlight bulb replacement on my Citroen DS3, but the service from this F1 team was superb. The chap on Reception was courteous and helpful - totally made my day! I will not hesitate to book my cars in for more extensive work in the future.

I came to this auto center for wheel balancing and alignment while away from my home town

A great price and speedy service

However

Driving back home on motorway I could hear and feel a wheel out of balance

some weeks latter I had to take my wheel off and I found 4 wheel nuts hand tight and only the locking nut was tight to torque on one wheel

Today as I am preparing for my MOT I noticed the steering rood ends were not centred and pinching the rubber that will lead to excessive wearing

It took me less than 5 minutes to rectify as I am a mechanical engineer

Never go anywhere else for my car … friendly, flexible and prices always feel fair. Recommend highly!

Quickly diagnosed that a faulty valve was causing the slow puncture. Valve replaced and on my way ten minutes later - no charge !

Formula One on Histon Road Cambridge came to my rescue early Sunday morning 23 June. I was in huge distress as I had a puncture and needed urgently to get to see my very ill mother. Without question they resolved the issue of the valve on the tyre and very quickly got me on my way. I was incredibly grateful for their help and kindness. I recommend them highly to everyone and will be using them again myself in future but hopefully not in such distressing circumstances.

I truly find the people reliable - they do a high quality job every time, so easy to communicate, the genuine generosity, welcoming and the friendly manner - I wish them all the very best of best!!!!

Appalling service and dishonest. I took my car in yesterday to get a light bulb replaced. They tried to get the bulb but were unable to do so, they were good at communicating this. They let themselves down by neglecting to show me the damage they had caused to my car by trying to force the light fitting out which has caused extensive damage to the paintwork. A quick google would have shown them that there was an internal screw that needed to be taken out first. I am now left with scratches and gouges to the bumper. Totally unnecessary. I have learnt my lesson and won’t go there again. Richard, you seem an honest man and I suspect you didn’t even know yourself, perhaps have a word with the mechanics about not using brute force and owning their gaps.

I took my car to the Histon Road, Cambridge branch last Friday for an MOT. The staff were very professional and carried out the MOT and subsequent work straight away.
Their pricing was fair and reasonable and I will have no hesitation in taking my car there in the future.

Re Formula One garage, Histon Road, Cambridge:
Been several times now and it is my go to garage for all things tyres and MOTS. On this occasion I needed to get a tyre leak resealed. A previous garage had replaced a tyre and it was demonstrably leaking. Same garage had also attempted to reseal it and was not successful. The guys at F1 seem to have taken more time to reseal it and so far so good. I could see the mechanic also checked all the tyre pressures after resealing the tyre so my impression is that they are diligent in their work.
