These vets are liars, they are dishonest and they continuously contradict stories between surgeries!! Avoid at all costs

We just received a lovely hand written card after losing our ferret a couple of weeks ago. Very nice sentiment from Port Talbot Forrest vets

My cat was neutered in their Isle of Dogs clinic, two days after her surgery she started having trouble breathing so I took her to this surgery to see if her condition was serious. Within minutes of bringing her in, they immediately asked us to pay them £300 for a single night’s stay without even checking her condition.

She just passed away in my arms. Vets denied any sort of responsibility, saying her condition was unrelated to her neutering surgery even though she was genuinely the most energetic and healthiest cat I had ever seen in my life. Even if that was the case, HOW THE HELL DID YOU MISS THIS CONDITION WHILE CHECKING HER PRIOR TO HER SURGERY? First you kill my baby, and now you have the nerve to ask me for even more money to fix your mistake? HOW CAN YOU KILL A CAT FROM A NEUTERING SURGERY?

It is clear that my cat had two possible causes of death - either this clinic did not diagnose a fatal condition she had during their diagnosis, or they botched the neutering surgery. Her blood is on their hands in either case.

A genuinely evil business that I hope goes bankrupt in this economy so its greedy and worthless people can feel a fraction of the suffering my baby went through.

Forest Vets showed nothing but compassion at a time of pure sadness and loss and they really are doing angels work. My fur baby had to be put to sleep after a very short illness and not only did they act quickly to ensure he was not in distress, they worked quickly to ensure we were not left waiting for answers. I had to be redirected here as out of hours and exceeded beyond my expectations. They gave us time and gave us so much reassurance. From the euthanasia process, decisions about cremations, to the collection of everything thereafter, I can’t give enough thanks. I have to give special thanks to Alessandro for the special and incredible care he provided, and the rest of the team for how delicately they treated the situation. I never imagined I would have to say goodbye to my best friend so soon, but Forest Vets have gone above and beyond and I can never thank you all enough.

Took our cat to Isle of Dogs vet where we’d registered her a few years ago. I remembered that the last visit wasn’t great as it was just after Covid and we were made to wait outside in the street for an hour. The office is ridiculously small and they’ve squeezed in two rooms and it’s impossible to be in there if there are more than two clients, pure greed that they’ve added a second consultation room! However this is not my complaint.
We were desperate to find a vet so reluctantly went there. Our cat would not let the vet examine her as she gets aggressive although the vet didn’t make much of an effort and should be used to stressed animals. We agreed to take her back next day after giving her two doses of sedative.
The next day I managed to get re-registered with PDSA so called to cancel the appointment but asked if we could get another dose of sedative to which they agreed. My partner collected it and it was put in a bag. When he got home I opened the bag and all the medication had leaked into the bag and was empty, the nurse/ vet had not sealed the lid!! Today I requested a refund £18 but they refused to say they cannot refund medication taken offsite!! I’m disgusted at their money grabbing attitude as it was clearly their error, these bottles have special safety lids and are almost impossible to open but this one had not been closed, they are implying we are to blame which is crazy!
Do not go near this place, the vet has an unpleasant manner and they will take all the money they can, this is their number one priority. I’m making a formal complaint also, if they did this to us it will happen again and they can get away with it!!

Absolutely awful vets. Secretary’s are rude. They have no concern for the animal; they just want you in there so they can charge as much as they can. Once you’re in there control, they will do everything to not let you out. Avoid. They nearly put my dog down unnecessarily. Chingford vets are amazing.

Absolutely do not get your pets checked here in port talbot, as I took my chow chow there Xmas time to be checked for a little lump on his head thinking it was a tick!
Paid for the assessment to be told nope it’s not a tic , so he took a drawing pin out of the notice board and pricked the spot on my dogs head and said I’m not worried about this what so ever, as no blood come out, within two weeks blood was seeping out, within 4 weeks I had to book my dog in skewin forest vets to have an operation and was told this has gone infected and it was the size of my fist,,,
This ended up costing over £1200 plus after treatment and constantly back and forth between the two vets, port talbot and skewin,

Last week I also had my girl chow chow spayed so again had the surgery in skewin and had to go port talbot for the post op checks so went the week after the op as scheduled on Monday this week so while waiting in the reception she started bleeding so went in only to be told it’s ok its normal as it’s not just blood it was apparently fluid from inside, we stated the stitches looked open as we could see the 3 gaps where the stitches should be, so we was asked to come back the next day for them to see the dog the next day, we went again only again to be told she is fine, again we stated it don’t look right as she had gained a big lump and was told that’s normal it’s fluid, and sent away to return 3 days later, so last night we had noticed something hanging out the cut and it was her insides, we went to the out of office emergency provided from forest vets, they charged us another £280 just see her, plus costs for medical help and medicine….
to be told she needs an emergency operation in the morning as she has a huge hernia and also her insides was open and that’s why parts of her intestines was coming out,, and was life threatening for her.
So I took her for the emergency operation in forest vets this morning to only be charged for another operation due to port talbot failing to identify an issue….
So trust me if you want good help for your pets avoid at all costs, and stay away from port talbot forest vet….

The staff are nice and polite but I’m thinking the vet’s surgery team and nurses need to undergo training we could see the problem and they seen the ££

I keep reading about dodgy vets and prices etc this vets isn't one of those sadly one of my cats Lenny very poorly we are insured however i have looked at what we have had and cost and i genuinely feel it's very reasonable and service is fantastic we have used for many many years and will continue to do so

Think Nicky has fallen in love with our cat Willow ☺️ ,she was so sweet and really showed affection towards our pet and treated her to such a high standard

Been a customer for several years with three dogs and have recently decided to move to another vets due to diabolical customer service.

Rude, unhelpful staff, unwilling to cooperate or provide reasonable solutions to a problem that they created (due to not logging proper notes following an appointment.) I made a formal complaint to the assistant manager, Jo, who, whilst acknowledging a member of staff’s (Ellen) ‘unsympathetic’ and rude attitude on the phone, basically offered no other support and then couldn’t even be bothered to respond to my follow-up email. Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I cancelled the Health Plan for my 3 pets in person at the Isle of Dogs practice in London in April 2023, alongside giving authorisation for the vet records of my pets to be shared with the new vet practice we were moving to. Nothing was actioned. When I registered my pets at the new practice, access to records was denied requiring me to call and give again permission to share.

Most importantly, this company has continued to charge my account monthly for the health plan of my 3 pets for 17 months and upon calling them out, they have refused to provide any of the flees and parasite tablets that I have been charged for on the grounds that they need to see the peta to dispense them. I have suggested that I bring them over for a health check included in the plan they have been incorrectly charging me for and they have refused to do this. The practice manager has not had the decency of calling me directly and has delegated on a member of staff with no authority to do other than paraphrasing what she has been instructed to say. They are trying to convince me that I am only cancelling now after I have called them out despite the pets having been moved to another practice. Robbery does not live up to what I am experiencing and the practice has declined since it was taken over by Forest Vets.

Back in August 2020, I cancelled a similar health plan over the phone after the sad loss of another pet. This practice at the time belonged to a different company and the charges stopped with immediate effect.

Avoid at all costs.

I sadly had my staffy Sheba put to sleep on Monday. 5 months after having lost my Jack russell Gyp. The Staff at Eastwick are absolutely amazing and are so caring, they go over and beyond with the care and that also includes the receptionists who I find very nice polite and caring and helpful. Your practice is the only one I trust with my animals.

My dog and I were met at the surgery by vet (Tim Ingham) Superb knowledge. The medication and advise he gave were second to none. Everything is working just as he said. So reassuring, as I was at my wit’s end. Honey woofs thank you too 🤩

Had a few disappointing appointments with forest vets in South Wales UK, latest is charging £43 for a course of dog antibiotics (amoxicillin) for 7 days 14 tablets, you can get these tablets for 18pence each online, but then charge 22 pound for prescription and will have to wait.
Extortionate prices that are not in line with other vets.
