My partner and I recently viewed a rental property in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. Stephen was showing us the property and he is the BEST. I met with him a few days prior and he took all my details and immediately found us a property that fit our requirements. He answered all our questions, was very thorough, and let us have as much time as we needed inside the property. As soon as we got home, he took the time to e-mail us with a follow up. 10/10 service from Stephen and if you’re looking to rent, I 100% recommend going in and having a chat with Stephen at the Freeman Foreman office on Terminus Road. Prior to my offer being accepted on a property on Heathfield Road i was basically forced by Claire (Who was dealing with the purchase) into speaking with Rebecca (Their Own Mortgage Broker) I had my own broker already and advised that i could send my mortgage in principle agreement across, however i was told by Claire that the seller would only consider my offer if i was approved by their own broker first, as this would help strengthen my offer, so I spoke to Rebecca.
Received a call from Claire advising that the seller had accepted my offer and congratulated me and requested my documents which I uploaded on to two portals.
I also received a call from Rebecca congratulating me. All was going well, my property so I thought, until I advised that I had chosen to use my own broker.
The next day i received a call from Freeman Forman (Countrywide) office, advising that the seller has now accepted another offer and whole heartedly decided to go with the buyer and that an increased offer from myself is not an option. I was originally told the other offer was not proceedable and the seller preferred my position which is why they accepted my offer and put Sold STC on Rightmove at Midnight on the 24.05.23 following my offer being accepted.
Basically, because I didn't use the Freeman Forman (Countrywide) internal broker the seller promptly changed their mind and accepted another offer from someone who was not proceedable.
This is poor practice, disgusting, unprofessional and embarrassing behaviour, all because i used my own broker.
I hope the seller did get more money but in truth they probably got told that i pulled out of the purchase.

Contacted the seller and as thought they were unaware that i was told that i couldn't increase my offer. Oh dear. so if you dont use a Freeman Forman (Countrywide) Broker the deal doesn't happen. They also requested money upfront for info.

I await an email response but won't hold my breath, i have to do this before reporting these companies to The Property Ombudsman.

Manager Greg is also a liar just so that people are aware, trying to cover up for his team and blatantly lying. So unprofessional.

Freeman forman listed my late Mother's property upon their website and displayed it in their window as "Sold". In fact the sale had nothing to do with them, it was successfully negotiated by another local agent. All requests to remove this were ignored despite phone calls, an email and a visit to their office. This was clearly a misrepresentation by Freeman Forman.

Friendly and professional, Freddy and the rest of the team were all brilliant. Quick to update you, always on the end of the phone to offer support and advice. They really do provide a brilliant service.
was able to view and purchase this property in less than two months which is amazing. Highly recommend, Best in town by far!!!

Freeman Forman in Uckfield helped me move into my new apartment. Thank you to Anna, Jack & Janice for showing me moving house doesnt have to be stressful! I went from an aweful experience from one of their competitors to dealing with the a stress free team that always kept to their word. From the beginning of collecting my keys to the handing of them over they helped with every situation, always got back in a timely manner, and are the kindest people to deal with for moving house. The landlord was the sweetest lady, leaving me cleaning products and extra bits ready for my tenancy. They were also very understanding when I advised I would have to end my contract due to the cost of living crisis. I will definately be returning for help with hopping on the mortgage ladder. Highly recommend these guys.

Stuart Smith was just amazing and we couldn’t have done it without him.

I was helping my elderly parents sell their home from 500 miles away to move up with us. Stewart’s help was invaluable.
We requested viewings by open day and it was done. Stuart stayed all day and was such a support to my elderly and slightly confused parents. Everything was explained to them fully. Stuart was literally on hand from marketing to completion.
He drove miles out of his way on many occasions to assist with paperwork..

Thank you to the whole Freeman and Foreman team for your professionalism and for all the little extras you did for us.

Complete disregard for people trying to buy a home. Never reply to emails even when I contacted another branch to avoid talking to a specific sales agent as we was not getting any response from “Jena” I asked to speak to a new agent as the lack of response from them resulted us in losing the home we wanted I couldn’t be more disappointed in this company. My mortgage broker never got reply’s totally unprofessional was his words. Good luck to anyone who has to deal with them.

Terrible communication with clients. Constant false promises and lies. Would not recommend

We sold our house with F&F's Ringmer branch.

They were fantastic & the manager there (& the rest of the team) always went the extra mile.

Freeman Forman Tonbridge were exceptionally good at progressing the sale of our house. The buyer's solicitor was very unprofessional and Freeman Forman managed them brilliantly. They communicated well and were patient and reassuring throughout a really stressful time! We were really pleased with the service, and would definitely recommend them.

We had to wait a lot longer than expected to be able to move in to our property. But the agents have been overall very polite and helpful. Daniel (I believe is the manager) replies to all emails and is always quick to help to resolve problems, so all necessary maintenance is carried out promptly. In my experience I would definitely recommend the Eastbourne branch of Freeman Foreman.

I hope to continue to live here for many years and appreciate the agents for helping my partner and I secure our first home.

I have since recommended them to some friends who now also rent through them at a great price.

Absolutely Shocking. Me and one of my friends rented a house through them a year ago! We used the uckfield branch and I can honestly say they were awful. After we both left the house it had taken them 3 months to give us our deposit back. They didn’t answer our phone calls or emails until we told them we had a letter to take them to court. Funnily enough we then got our money! I must say Janine Spofforth for a lettings manager you are awful at your job. We also felt we were taken advantage of as we are young and it was our first house. I will never use them again. Lesson learnt

Freeman foreman’s Uckfield branch is absolutely awful I do not recommend using it!! They never reply to emails or they tell you a load of lies!! It took me 3 months after leaving a property to get my deposit back and I only got it back because I mentioned taking them to court! They told me so many lies like I’ll have it in 14 hours, I’ll have it In a week, I should have already had it and the best one it was put in the wrong account and they will have it to me in an hour!! They were so awful and just never replied to emails and just kept telling me lies. I feel that because I am young and it was my first property they really took advantage of me. I am telling am my friends and family to NEVER use this branch if I could leave minus 5 stars I would!!! As they don’t even deserve one star

Freeman Forman has shocking customer service. They never get back to you. Always late to appointments and rude. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all as they are useless. Not what you expect from an estate agency
