Furniture Village - Chelmsford Reviews 

This is our first visit to furniture village. Mathew, one of the staff in here wished us first and given an overview which was an icebreaker for us, felt like welcomed and made our selection easier which could be a hard one without him.He explained about options available and made it easy for us to take a decision. It was an excellent service from him we experienced.Thank you so much and appreciate the service.

Great Friendly service. Bought exactly what we needed !

We met Tammy today and purchased a table and chairs with a sideboard. She was very helpful and made the whole process really smooth.

Nothing was too much when showing us the sets and her views was really useful.

We were greeted and asked if we'd like a drink as soon as we arrived. There was no pressure from the staff, who were extremely pleasant and helpful. We were invited to look round at our leisure and found what we were looking for. Matthew was extremely helpful.

Mathew was very helpful in assisting me to find the sideboard that I wanted. An easy process with a friendly service.

We visited the Showroom at Chelmsford, where we were looked after by Karunaker, what a great guy to deal with.
His relaxed attitude and knowledge of products made the decision to buy from Furniture village we think was the right one.
After our first visit we spent time visiting other retailers Showrooms, looking at quality doing the sums taking our time and finally deciding to go back to see Karunaker and placing our order with him.

Having purchased, and been pleased with, most of our furniture from Furniture Village we visited the Chelmsford store when we needed a new sofa and chair. The salesman suggested that for a few pounds we should have better glides fitted to the legs of the sofa.

The delivery driver therefore removed the factory fitted buffers and stuck the new glides on.
Two days later we saw that the glides had dislodged and were sticking to the sides of the legs. I immediately contacted customer service who promised to send someone to replace them.
Four weeks later I have heard absolutely nothing.
I have contacted customer service twice to enquire when they are coming - no response.
I emailed the company complaints team - no response.
In desperation I went back to the store and spoke to the manager who promised to get the job done. Now after a further two weeks I have again heard nothing.

Having removed the factory fitted buffers to fit replacements that fell off, the company simply ignores requests to fix the fault and has left us a sofa with no protection whatsoever on the floor.
They’ve lost us as customers, hugely frustrated.

UPDATE
I received a telephone call refunding the cost of the glides and informing me that FV will not fix the fault & I will have to purchase replacement parts and fit them myself.
I wrote to FV head office a letter of complaint , I have now received an apology and an appointment for a team to come and repair the fault. Unnecessary hassle but at least a proper outcome.

Karunaker was helpful and informative without being at all pushy. Left us to try out all the G plan furniture with a cup of coffee, and helped us order the Malvern when we had decided.

Tammy at the Chelmsford branch dealt with our enquires today and she was absolutely brilliant. Answered all questions, thank you Tammy. Can’t wait for my new bed to arrive!

Very helpful member of staff who carried dining chairs into a different light for us so we could see the colour.
Also was respectful and moved away from us when we were discussing the prices and decisions.
Very friendly and approachable but was not pushy.

Caroline is absolutely excellent. Spent a long time with me in the store originally for me to decide on the products I wanted and was incredibly patient.
Would seek her out for my next purchases.

Great experience with Tammy, got exactly what we wanted. Cant wait for delivery !

I made a mistake on my order when I realised I contacted the store despite me asking to change the order I was informed that this wasn’t possible. Very disappointing will not likely use you again.

We went to furniture village today in a desperate need of a sofa quickly. I want to give a special thanks to Matthew.R who was extremely friendly and greeted us with a smile, when we explained our situation he explained and showed us what sofas were available and how quickly we could get them delivered. He wasn’t pushy or overbearing and we appreciate all of his help with the sale!
