I don’t know what happened to your customer service but it is AWFUL!
I tried to return an item at 30 days and was told no because it had to be received by 30 days. Seriously??
So my 30 days begins when it is marked shipped. That was on a Saturday and it did not move until Tuesday. I received Friday so that’s 7 days of my 30 days. I then need to allow for a week for you to receive it…so another 7 days.
You also changed your return policy with zero effort to inform your loyal online shoppers. Unless you went in to read the return policy (and who does that when they have been ordering from gap for decades), you were blindly unaware until you tried to make a return and were told “TOO BAD NO EXCEPTIONS”. Wouldn’t even give me a gift card.
I think I’ll give my business to Marks….they have a 100 day return policy. And guess what?? If you return after that….they will give you a gift card!!! Wow, What a concept!
I was supposed to receive an e-gift…
I was supposed to receive an e-gift card for the balance of a gift card purchase. The email did not arrive. I called GAP customer service. The moron on the phone kept me on hold for almost 30 minutes back and forth before admitting that he could do nothing about gift cards. He then stated that the balance was my loss. I demanded to speak to a supervisor, who (after another 30 minutes on the phone) agreed to issue a new card. Of course, he made an error and instead of issuing an e-card he sent a new plastic card via UPS. It never arrived. After two weeks I initiated a chat to demand a replacement. Customer service kept me on chat for an HOUR only to admit they would have to 'forward' the info to the gift card department for resolution. They said I could copy the chat once we disconnected as proof, but it disappeared as soon as they did. I called back on the phone and demanded to speak to a supervisor. Because I was angry, the rep had the nerve to tell me that I was acting "unprofessionally" - as if they had done anything but. They also refused to let me speak to a supervisor, so I had no choice but to hang up, two hours of my time wasted with no resolution.

I ordered trousers and after two months and several follow-ups, I have not received them. Called their customer service and they say contradictory things. Very Disappointing!
poor customer service
I ordered a hoody which came in the wrong size. When I called to exchange it I was told that I would have to pay again for a new (correct) one, pack up the incorrectly sized one, and drive the wrong sized one to UPS to ship it back, I would get a refund when the first one was received back and, I would not have to pay shipping. I think, at the very least, the wrong one should be picked up and I should not have to expend my time and gas when I did nothing wrong.

I am very disappointed with The Gaps…
I am very disappointed with The Gaps return policy. I tried returning an item which was just over 30 days. I was unaware that The Gap has changed their return policy as I never had this problem in the past. Although they will not refund me for the item, they would not even give a store credit. I cannot understand why they would not give a store credit? Who is your Marketing Manager? How do you turn down your customers. You would think the customer would use the Credit on another purchase and perhaps buy other items. Sorry Gap, you lost another customer. Keep it up, you will not be around too long!!

par le lien , le colis est expedié le 6 fevvrier mais par le suivi transporteur, le colis est toujours en préparation chez le fournisseur. depuis pres de deux semaines aucune reponse a mes mails; j ai eu le transporteur au tel, le colis n est jamais parti....si il existe un moyen de d avoir un recours avec tous les mécontents, cela éviterait de laisser faire ce type de vols manifestes et impuni !!!

Delayed Shipping…
I have never shopped Gap online or in store prior to a few weeks ago. I ordered some baby items online (matching bodysuits and pants). I also ordered a few Old Navy items at the same time, since it's a joint website. The items from Old Navy arrived in two days and all together, neatly wrapped and packaged, obviously from a fulfillment center. The items from Gap (according to tracking info) were sent separately, apparently from various stores (had I known this I wouldn't have ordered). The shipping said they would arrive in 3-5 business days. I received several separate emails regarding the individual items saying "we're so sorry for the delay, but we don't know when your item will arrive" and another that said "awaiting cancellation". On EVERY item I ordered from Gap. So, I called. The item "awaiting cancellation" wasn't available. Ok fine, then please don't send me the matching pants. Well, that's not possible, but you can send them back for a refund. Two of the items eventually arrived and were obviously someone's return, no tags and dirty. So, I returned all three of these items via their express returns at Staples (we do not have a Gap store nearby), and two weeks later, no refund yet. The last item still hasn't made it. It was supposed to arrive on Feb. 3, but now has a date of Feb. 9. They did refund that item since it doesn't appear to actually be moving away from where it was sent and towards it's destination, per tracking. Overall, I'm still stuck with half outfits due to items not being available or having not arrived. I will NEVER order from Gap again. I was offered a 15% off coupon to compensate, however I declined because all the frustration is simply not worth it. All the bad reviews I've read seem to deal with this same issue.
Horrible return policy
Horrible return policy. Their return policy is 30 days form the date the order was shipped. Not form the day the customer receives the goods??!!! I wanted to return toddler hoodie. I received it on January 6th. I went to the store in Oak Brook il on February 3rd and was refused the return. The item shipped on January 3rd. The return window closed on February 2rd (30 days). Really one day?!! They cannot offer the store credit. I ordered the bigger size of the hoodie, so I didn’t need the smaller size anymore. I had no idea that they do such a problems with returns. So many other stores l buy offer customer friendly returns. Or at least offer store credit. I’m not a Gap happy customer anymore.
Worst Customer Service
The online chat customer service is terrible. They sent me a faulty dress (ripped at the seam) and refused to refund it and wouldn’t allow me to speak with a supervisor and then hung up on me. I’ve shopped here for years and never complained but will not shop here again.
I ordered a 3 pack of baby shorts
I ordered a 3 pack of baby shorts. Only 1 came in the mail with no tag. I called and they wanted me to send the 1 pair back to get the other shorts I purchased. I’m really upset. They even asked for my credit card?! Like you’re going to charge me shipping again- to receive an order you never sent? NEVER AGAIN. They can kick rocks.
When you make a mistake don't make me fix it!
My order was shipped in three different packages. No big deal, except that in the end, I received a duplicate item and didn't receive an item that I had ordered. Their solution? Send back the duplicated item and then repurchase the item we failed to include. My solution? Send me the item you omitted and let me just keep the duplicate ($6). Why do I have to run to the UPS store to return your mistake and then reorder the item you forgot and wait another week for it to arrive? Also, you tell me that my credit could take up to 15 days for the item I'm returning. Unacceptable.

I ordered 9 items at the same time and they send it by batches. And having an issue with my second and third parcel. I tried reaching out their costumer service but they did not even bother to help and contact the courier. So they just take your money and if theres some problem they will not even bother to help you. Not going to order again.
Gap stole from me
I ordered for the second time using PayPal.This time Paypal paid the correct amount.Gap has my card number from my first order so they took an extra 38.49 from my card.The customer service number is no help at all,they know nothing. I would advise everyone to not buy anything from gap online.

En l'occurrence, des panneaux positionnés sur les portants de tee-shirts manches longues clament "100% coton". Or, lorsque l'on regarde l'étiquette, à l'intérieur des tee-shirts, le coton ne constitue en réalité que 58% de la matière (associés à 39% de Modal et 3% de Spandex). Je n'ai rien, en soit, contre le Modal mais apprécie la loyauté des informations fournies par les enseignes chez qui j'achète. Pensant à une erreur d'affichage,
j'ai donc informé une responsable du magasin. Celle-ci m'a le plus naturellement du monde confirmé qu'elle était bien au courant, la Direction GAP également, mais que l'argument "100%coton" étant vendeur il n'était pas question de modifier l'affichage... J'ai donc écrit au service client en m'étonnant de cette culture qui vise à prendre les clients pour des pigeons... et leur demandant de bien vouloir rectifier la situation. Après plusieurs semaines, pas de réponse et, aujourd'hui même, je constate que les tee-shirts à manches courtes sont apparus en magasin (même matière que ceux à manches longues) avec de nouveaux panneaux "100% coton".... Mensonge identifié ici... laissant imaginer bien d'autres entourloupes possibles... =>
Mieux vaut donc ne pas croire sur parole les allégations de cette enseigne à l'éthique contestable.
