Battery Recall for early adopters
I ordered my Foil and it was put into production July 7. The board arrived October 8. I have a newborn and wasn’t able to unbox and use the board until November 27. When I took the new battery and charger out of the box it didn’t work. After contacting Foil I learned there is a battery component that fails if the battery is left for an extended period of time. This is a known error that impacts customers before October 8. The battery/controller are defective unless shipped back to Foil. It takes 5-7 business days for them to send you an empty box, 5-7 days for the defective battery to be shipped to Foil, 1-5 days repair by Foil, and another 5-7 days for the battery to be shipped back to you). That’s over 20 business days/1 month before your Foil is actually usable. I never received a notice that they knew about the error and I’m disappointed that it appears they have not notified their other early customers. There are going to be a flood of disappointed customers next spring/summer when people take out their boards and find the battery doesn’t work and the company knew about it. The customer service team and CEO were rude and dismissive and I do not recommend working with this company.

I have only positive things to say about this company. Firstly, as a new company the support by everyone in the company from the CEO downwards has been exceptional. On the product, brilliant experience and where there been issues quickly resolved; these people care about their product and their customers.

I am very happy with the overall experience we have had with Foil and the staff that work there. They were very good at answering my questions and getting back to me quickly when I reached out to them. Katie was excellent. We are very happy with how the product looks (it was worth the wait!) and we can't wait to test it out in the summer.

First I would say I like this foil…
First I would say I like this foil being it is my first one. The look and design is for the most part enjoyable. The issue I had was the remote control had to be replaced twice. I’m on my third remote and used it once with no issues so far. The other two units water entered it and rendered them completely useless. I am concerned this unit will fail too. The board arrived with a nice look and finish, but I have marks and a chip that was not created by impact with anything. I will reach out for a chip repair kit. Customer service was excellent. Quality control must be stepped up it will be difficult to endorse Foil Inc.

Best purchase I have ever made. Over 100 rides in, I ride almost everyday, and not a single problem. The design is more advanced yet simplified and the price is lower than anything else on the market for what you get. I can't recommend it enough!

Had a terrible experience with their sister company Snackcrate. Ripped us off due to very unclear advertising and charged high cancellation fees that were not clear at all.
Looks like the owners of this are in it for a quick buck.

Get foil is ran by the same people that run snackcrate - you can see their very below average reviews also on trustpilot - they have a history of deceiving customers with ads in order to get short term profit instead of investing in a decent product
