Such an easy process! I have never used a service like this, but it was super easy to navigate and for everyone to donate on. Loved that there were no fees and that all donations went to the coaches. Will certainly use again.

Misleading
If the intention is to give someone a voucher for a high street retailer then this is great and the process is slick but it wasn't clear to me that there is no longer a facility to withdraw the collection as cash, for a fee. This used to be the case and it needs to be clearer that this is no longer an option.

GiftRound no longer offers a bank transfer or cash withdrawal option. During the collection creation process, we communicate that every GiftRound is redeemed as a FlexCard.
This is a deliberate part of our model. By removing bank transfers entirely, we've removed platform fees, transaction deductions, tips, and the increasing administrative and regulatory complexity that comes with processing cash withdrawals. As a result, 100% of contributions go towards the gift, exactly as intended.
Recipients can then choose from 95+ leading retailers, including John Lewis, M&S, Argos and Currys, and spend their FlexCard however they wish.

Easy to use, no fees and real people to help you
I had never run a remote collection before but Gift Round was easy and the bonus was that there are real people to help you at the beginning. They email you back very quickly and even offer to phone if you need to speak to someone. All the money collected goes to the person which is great and as a result you have to accept that there are minimal format options. As the organiser you get a notification when people add to the collection and you get a summary at the end. In an ideal world I would like a larger word count for messages and to be able to edit the final email that goes to the recipient but overall this was an excellent site and service and I would definitely recommend it.

The easiest way to organise a collection
It is really easy to use and has improved greatly over the past few years. I found it quick and any amendments to the picture, timeline or access are very easy to input. It allows contributors to make easy donations and card comments wherever they are via the link. I also appreciate being able to resend the gift card details if someone loses them.

This is a helpful tool
This is a helpful tool which makes office collections far easier than having cash handed to someone or transferred to their bank account and challenges of having to keep track of this.
Also gives recipient the choice of where to spend the money but without it being cash which can just disappear without thought.

I was very disappoInflexible expiry policy — losing a group gift and losing a customerinted with…
I was very disappointed with GiftRound’s handling of my FlexCard. The voucher expired after 12 months and, despite contacting them within three days of expiry and explaining difficult personal circumstances (recent return from maternity leave), they refused to reinstate the remaining balance. They did offer a one-off goodwill replacement of £112.50, which I accepted, but I’m upset that the full value couldn’t be restored or that there wasn’t more flexibility given this was a group gift bought for me in good faith. Customer service was polite and clear, but the policy felt inflexible and leaves unanswered questions about what happens to unused funds once a voucher expires. I will not be using GiftRound for my team at work in future, which is a shame because we used it regularly.

Our FlexCard vouchers have a 12-month expiry period and, once expired, any unused balance can no longer be accessed in the same way as an active voucher.
While we did make an exception in this case to try to help, I’m sorry this still wasn’t the outcome you were hoping for.

Easy, efficient and honest
I found it really easy to use and navigate and was able to organise the collection in record time. It was great having the controls on it such as choosing when to end the collection and being able to purchase a gift card to send directly to the individual was another plus. I also like that every penny goes to the recipient rather than going to the site. I will definitely use it again!
