I am sharing my experience regarding a merchant whose payments were processed through Gigadat.
On August 27, 2025, RealSpin confirmed in writing that CAD 80,700 was being processed for payment. More than seven months later, no funds have been received.
Since that confirmation, the merchant has stopped responding entirely and the payment that was explicitly confirmed has not been delivered.
I understand that Gigadat acts as a payment facilitator and may not control a merchant’s internal decisions. However, when a merchant using their payment services confirms a payment of this magnitude and then stops responding altogether, it raises serious questions about oversight and accountability within the payment network.
From a customer perspective, it appears that payment processors are quick to facilitate transactions and collect the associated processing fees, but when a confirmed payment is not delivered, there seems to be little responsibility or support provided to affected customers.
I would appreciate clarification from Gigadat on what safeguards exist when a merchant confirms a payment but fails to deliver it, and what role Gigadat plays in ensuring accountability for merchants operating through its payment infrastructure.
Gigadat inc fraudster takes money out of my account beside the email was sent to them they don't have authority verbal or written .The Gigadat inc continue their Criminal activity . Please if you are in same situation call anti fraud call local police . Gigadat Inc doesn't recognize charges even though bank has their foot print . Gigadat inc claim to be a payment processor unwanted pest they harass you fake multiple transfers request to manipulate data giving disinformation.
2 deposits made that were rejected. Received the emails confirming the rejected deposits. I go to follow up after 3 days and am told its on hold until I supply a CA# reference no. RBC doesn't use those so I gave what RBC suppied and they wont accept that. Now they are keeping my deposits that are owed to me. This should have been sent back automatically. I even sent the RBC secure message response and now I have no response from gigadat. This is how they keep your money I guess.then the supervisor responds to my email and what was confirmed by 2 CRS s, now tells me there is no rejected deposits they can see. Really?? I wonder if anyone will follow up on this complaint, I will escalate until this is resolved. Its bot the money, its the principle. This is so wrong!
Re: Deposit Received and Rejected-status

Hello,
If you are a client with RBC, then they have provided us with instructions on acquiring the Interac Reference Number or Message ID. They have advised that the method for you to have this information provided is the following steps;
1. Log into Online Banking through RBCs website
2. Click on “Message/Alerts” (this is not available in their mobile app, you will need to log in through a browser to access this)
3. Click on “Send a Secure Message”
4. Choose to send the message to “RBC Royal Bank”
5. Write out message that you are requesting all e-transfer information including specifically the “Access Payment Reference #”
You will need to check the message center with your online banking, as the response will not go to your email.

They sent me the same withdrawal twice. I accepted one of them.
I got accused of fraud. Of being a criminal. wow!
conclusion i owed them 18$ . They made a mistake with my withdrawal ok whatever.
because of the delay of my 18$ payment, they never clearly asked for it or reminded me , now they have blocked my account while i had other transfers, hundreds coming in .
Not even a reminder just blocked my account out of the blue, they blocked me so i cannot get it. I paid the 18$. They have all my pending withdrawals now. i have no access to them. its been 2 weeks never heard from the fraud department. no way of communication. no phone , no emails just horrible in service. They don’t let you know what’s going on. unbelievable! I guess they want to keep my money that’s
why they blocked my account without notice or not even letting me know they can do this.
Its a nice company very trustworthy. Negligence, accusations, being treated like a criminal. Its so awesome, Proud to be canadian ! i recommend another any other company ! trust level gone . and you haven’t seen the last of me. I don’t
deserve this.
I have sent 2 transfers to an online gaming website were not received and their website isn't working to contact them.

the are using FACEBOOK MARKET place .Offering to pay for things email .
EVERY ONE IF YOU FACE FRAUD BY GIGADAT INC REPORT TO BBB AND FINTRAC OFFICE IN OTTAWA THOSE WHO LOOK AT TRANSACTION
they are a bunch of crooks .when you deposit and dont put in the message your money is gone .many times ive sent them screenshots of the transaction and told them i forgot the message ,they never gave me a cent back.best way is to stop gambling and i will send it all t the good hackers who soon will shut them down
Just got a cold-call "transfer" invitation without context or warning. Reviews elsewhere indicate 99% probability it is a scam. Unfortunately, I was expecting a refund of a similar amount from a legit service provider, so I can't immediately reject it. Gotta investigate!
Concern: how the hell did they get my new phone number?
Gigadat is a third party scam. They take money from your bank account or allow scammers to take money from your account. I got scammed thru Facebook marketplace where I gave them my e transfer info and telephone number. They withdrew four amounts of 69.48$ before my ATB bank stopped them. Now I need to open new accounts and get my phone cleaned.
Thank goodness for ATB. I think they even used someone else’s facebook account. Thank you Trust Pilot for being there also.
I tried contacting this company where they said I had a refund for $170 pertaining to gigadat rewards. I’m sure this is a scam to get you banking password. This company has not responded to my request
DO NOT fall for this scam people. If u do then your bank account will get emptied This site is very convincing at first look
This company for payment processing is the only e-transfer payment company around which means they are Canadian, but that’s as far as their Canadian ship goes, they blatantly alllw other Canadian consumers to be swindled and defrauded and if you contact them their reply is “we are just a 3rd party processor” but they are the ones taking the money from your account for these resident businesses. Yet do zero to help support the Canadian consumer on any level. I guess the adage of you get what you pay for is correct, and since the businesses are paying their fees they get all their protection and zero for the consumers which is the reason they are even getting a fee. The Canadian financial securities commission should really deep dive into this company , its customers and the processed transactions and see how many are ti d to complaints through channels such as this, I bet as a guess they would find probably 30% have some form of complaint associated
