I ordered an EMG 81 and 85 as the site said they would be dispatched within 2-5 days.

About 4 days later (in fairness it was the Easter weekend) I got an email to say they could get the 85 from the supplier, but the 81 was out of stock and wouldn't be in stock for some time, and it could be several months. Some alternatives were offered but I stuck with just the 85 in the end.

I was promptly refunded for the 81 and the 85 arrived a few days later.

All in, not terrible service, but the dispatch times on the website are completely false and feel this is misleading customers to thinking unavailable products are in stock to simply offer alternatives and retain business.

Really impressed with the experience I had so felt I needed to put in a review.

The team were super-knowledgeable and took the time to guide me to the right instrument, at the right price, for my family (Yamaha Piagerro NP12 keyboard.)

Not the only good experience I’ve had with this company. Previously bought a Boss Katana Artist mk2 from the team and the support was spot on again.

The price is great but the support was priceless. Highly recommend.

GigGear have a huge range to choose from and are super helpful. Delivery was really quick and I’d definitely recommend them again, will now be my go-to music store!

As always, friendly knowledgeable advice on the phone and then delivery arrived when they said it would. Excellent compayn to deal with.

Never use this company before and as I buy 10s of thousands of pounds of gear a year. Il give them a go. First item in stock at their warehouse. - no it wasn't. They had to order direct from line 6. after several emails and waiting nearly 2 weeks for the cab. It arrived badly damaged. 2 x broken corners and cracked wood and also split tolex. I contacted them and they said I can send you a plastic corner. Lol. After several emails stating the cab was for home use. The offered me £30 discount which I thought was insulting. I asked for £50. It would cost them more to collect the 4x12 cab. The cab devaluation would be make this £300 which I thinks fair. Its not the money as I'm not short of it. Its the way I was handled. I have took the £30 for the hassle of me boxing up this very large item after they to me to un box and test it. Customers service is awful with no compromise. I won't be using them again.
You replied ASAP to this review. Maybe you should be faster with delivery and email responses.

AND STILL NOT RECEIVED ANY REFUND EITHER.

Ordered my new American Telecaster on Monday and was delivered on Tuesday, Brilliant service and stunning guitar, i will be back.

I ordered a guitar for collection, then tried it and decided against. They helped me choose an alternative and carefully discussed all the pros and cons. The price was competitive and the service exemplary. Thanks guys

Nothing but positive experiences with this shop. I am learning the guitar. Learning being the operative word, but, I have had nothing but positive experiences with this shop which is why I travel over an hour from my home town to go here (even though there are music stores nearer to where I live). I initially bought my guitar case, capo and wall support from GigGear. (I had bought an acoustic guitar somewhere else before I discovered this shop). Then, I decided to buy an electric guitar settling for the wonderful Epiphone WildKat plus amp. Me being a beginner, they helpfully plugged it in and played it for me so I could have an idea about the tone. Now that I have my electric guitar, I'm going back to buy an Epiphone hard case for it. The staff have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. If they were nearer to me, I would take guitar lessons with them as well but I fear getting stuck on the M25 en route.
All in all, it's a great store with great folk.

I ordered a guitar that was to be in stock as indicated on the site and 4 weeks after it was still not delivered ??
Sales site not serious.

Husband has bought his new bass from Giggear in Harlow and now a 2nd hand bass amp (250 watts) both times the service has been great all the members of staff have been very friendly and ready to help.

When Hubby wants another Bass or amp this is going to be one of the places we go to frist.

Great service and good product knowledge received when I visited the store this week to collect the BOSS WL 20 guitar wireless transmitter system ( fab product by the way!).
Will def use you as my local store.

Recently discovered this great store whilst hunting down the perfect Strat online. Popped in to try a couple out and couldn't be happier with the service I received. I was able to try a handful of different Strats at various price points and received a great balance of helpful, informative advice, and time by myself to try the guitars out without a high pressure sell.
I'm very pleased to have picked my dream guitar - a white Mexican Standard Strat that is now hanging on the wall in front of me.

I have been a customer of giggears for yrs now but after my experience today at the Harlow branch ...I don’t feel like shopping there again!
In the past when I’ve gone into the store and your able to look around and pick up any guitar and have a good look at it and possibly play it...well today was very disappointing, my son and I went there he picked up a guitar and got told off! ( his 13 and has played for yrs) I hadn’t realised this at the time until I picked up a guitar and heard ‘ don’t pick the guitars up being shouted!!’ And an arm coming round the side of my to grab this guitar....when it eventually did get handed over me it put me off of touching it as I felt I was being looked over on ...I really didn’t want to touch the thing!!
That staff member really made me feel embarrassed in front of other customers and I felt like myself and my son was being watched by this bloke( as if we was going to do a runner with it!)
I’ve spent thousands of pounds in your shop over the yrs as a returning customer and the staff that have helped me have also been lovely in the past....today wasn’t good at all, and has put me right off!

I was looking for a 'mid range' electro acoustic guitar or lr baggs m1a pick up to fit to my guitar which was at home an hours drive away. Spent £80 on a budget amplifier. Nearly spent £500 on a Taylor 110e aswell. Glad I didn't.
Anyway a worker said that I should bring my guitar in the following day to have the pick up fitted. He said he would call me in the morning to let me know when the installation man would be there. He never called me, so I had to do the calling, after me calling them 2/3 times they tell me they don't know where or when the installation man would be there. Disgraceful that they think it's ok to tell customers that.
Anyway, long story short, 3 days have pasted and they haven't been in touch. The installation man would charge £48 minimum to install.

Just got back from Denmark street, paid £180 for lr baggs m1a, and paid £0 for installation. Swift, speedy efficient service done well by experienced technician on site within 30mins. Stress free.
