We were looking for a waterproof jacket, we hadn’t been in the shop for long before we were approached by a lovely smiling, friendly member of staff asking if we needed any assistance (clearly we did as we couldn’t find what we were looking for 🤣and must’ve looked puzzled).
From that moment on, Katie was extremely helpful and very patient. The jacket was for myself, I wanted to see how much longer the new one compared to my old one. I asked if she had a tape measure, off she went and once returned assisted with the measuring. Then, which size, I tried two different sizes on and then needed a jumper underneath to compare the difference in movement etc., Katie joined in with our humour remaining professional and advising on maintenance of the jacket. After quite a while, I chose the one which fitted better and Katie made a sale.
I am no mystery shopper, had I have been this young lady would have achieved a perfect 100% score.

Two items cancelled from two orders and remaining item is stuck at picking - not delivered to the designated pick store.

Terrible service in store and online, buy elsewhere
No stock in store even though showed online. Male staff member very unhelpful. Ordered online, got as far as Evri delivery depot where the status never changed, then called to chase delivery as past date by several days to be told it was lost at Evri. Checked Evri status after the call and it said recalled by supplier so not sure what the truth is but very disappointing on my first order. I will not be ordering again..

While we do always aim for our stock levels to be correctly reflected on our website, on occasion discrepancies can occur and we apologise that this resulted in a wasted journey for you. We do understand the inconvenience caused.
From checking the online order that you placed we can see that the parcel was lost in transit. When a parcel has been deemed lost, and a refund issued for the customer, placing a stop and return request with the courier is part of the process.
We do hope that you will choose to purchase from GO Outdoors again in the future to allow us the opportunity to improve upon your experience.

The security tag not removed.
The security tag was not removed from the shirt I bought and did not appear to set off the alarm. Also there were no staff anywhere near the exit even if the alarm went off. I only discovered the security tag when I got home. That meant I had to return to the store (Cambridge) to get the tag removed. This involved a 23 mile round trip. Apart from the inconvenience and cost of my fuel there was no apology or offer to compensation.

Great staff especially Steven
I’ve been in an out this shop 3-4 times this week to try and sort out different tents and problems that kept cropping up. Every single time I went in Steven met us with help and kindness and just an all round amazing attitude. He spent a lot of time with us and really couldn’t have done any of this without him. What an amazing staff member.

Very helpful

Just browsing.......
My wife and I were initially only going in-store to have a browse.. Famous last words.
We got talking with Steven about tents, weather suitability etc.
My wife and daughter found a pink tent that they really liked, however the store only had the display model available.
Steven was extremely helpful and said that he didn't mind dismantling and packing it away for us to buy.
Service outstanding!
