GO Outdoors - Loughborough Reviews 

Went into to go Outdoors Loughborough today with the daunting task of knowing I needed to get some hiking boots as I’m doing some walks over the summer.
I had no clue what boots to get, however Matt one of the employees came over to help me and wow, he was knowledgeable!
He picked out a few pairs that he thought would be suitable for the kind of conditions I’ll be walking in, And then I could compare against. His way of explaining the technical aspects of each boot was fantastic and I was able to pick out some North Ridge leather walking boots, that I’m really chuffed with!
Would like to thank Matt for his wealth of experience and the ability to help me get the right boots would definitely come in again.

My husband and I decided to pop into Go Outdoors - Loughborough to have a look at purchasing a new tent. We spent time looking at each model on display. Whilst we were there, we inquired as to whether they were able to mend broken tent poles. We spoke to an employee by the name of Henry. He was most helpful and very pleasant pointing us in the right direction and advising us on how we could ment the broken pole ourselves. Because Henry was so knowledgeable and polite, we decided to ask him about purchasing a new tent. He took his time to talk us through our options and which tent would be most suitable for our needs. He was utterly brilliant. We were both very impressed. So, thank you Henry - you were very professional, knowledgable and helpful. We’re looking forward to our camping trip in the summer in our new tent!

Visited the Loughborough store today to kit my son out for his 3 peaks challenge. Staff were very helpful. Found everything we needed with a great choice. Josh at the counter was very helpful. 👍😁

I have again received excellent customer service from Tom in the bikes department.

My son's are learning to ride and Tom has helped me navigate this journey, adjusting breaks, choosing frames, advising on saddle heights. Always professional and helpful.

I was completely amazed and delighted by the wide selection of everything camp related. The tents set out at the front were exciting to look at and it was so easy to find walking shoes for my 12 year old son. The lady who served me (Monica) was so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I can't remember the last time I had service like that. She helped us to get socks, shoes and wellies. It really made my day. Thank you.

Bradley was a great help. I was interested in buying a new pole, he was patient and amazing at advising me in regards to what I needed. Thanks so much.

I was free to try on walking trousers, fleeces, base layers and cycling jackets.I intentionally went to GO Outdoors because everything was in that single outlet. I also wanted a bike lock, bike pump and a fleece. I spent a long time in the shop. I hadn’t been there for some time. It’s arranged far better than I remember. Is tidy and clean. I recall it being something of a jumble sale. I picked up a bargain on the sale rail. Lots of choice across price ranges on other items. I spent over £300 and fully intended to get good quality for good value. A chap called Josh was on the till and he was on good form and remembered me from long ago. He was efficient and spoke knowledgeably about what I’d bought. He renewed my membership. He was proactive and actually seemed happy in the interaction, ie really effective customer service. I really don’t like shopping, hence my ‘big shop’ but this was a good shopping experience.TQ.

Called in at Bike Service desk for a saddle swap on my wife’s bike. Tom was first rate - helpful, professional and completed the swap in a trice. Also advised on saddle options.

My first visit to this store. I was met by smiling staff. I was looking for new walking boots & some gloves.
Vicky was so helpful; nothing was too much trouble for her & I was happy with my new boots.
Locklant (I hope I have his name spelt correctly) helped me select the right gloves for me.
“Good old-fashioned service” is hard to find, well done to all the staff & thank you.

Zero stars for online service: Go had limited online stock when I my order. I found it incredibly difficult to enter my Go membership details and by the time I decided to go ahead by purchasing a new card (a much easier process) some items were not available. A few days later and another item from my order was cancelled by Go. Finally just one item from the order was delivered but I still haven’t received the new card!
5 stars awarded to the staff in my local store who sold me the items that were out of stock online

Came in here for some walking boots, and was served by Harry who gave some excellent advice and guidance on different manufacturers and styles and materials. Walked out with a pair of walking boots that felt very comfortable and ticked all the boxes of my requirements. Would fully recommend popping in here if you need advice.

We were looking at bikes today unsure of which would suit my needs best. Tom who was an absolute fountain of knowledge served us, and was so approachable, professional and easy to chat to...a credit to you! Can't wait to collect my new wheels later this week. Thank you 👌
