Today I visited the store to purchase a coat and the staff were fantastic

I feel it’s normal now to have to fact find when researching for a purchase

Not here, I had the pleasure of Rory to talk me through all the options and clearing explaining the pros and cons of each - a well versed member of the team, clearly with knowledge of the products

Ben finished the transaction for me swiftly and efficiently and was clearly a team leader with great customer service

We were served by Lorna for new walking shoes/boots. She was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable, excellent customer service, as is usual at this branch.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. As I wanted information /availability for a product I spoke to Megan on the telephone on Wednesday and she instantly was able to answer my questions . I then visited the store again on Thursday and was dealt with by"Lorna" an exceptional employee in terms of helpfulness, knowledge and a lovely disposition

Lorna served me ! She was very knowledgeable discussing all my options and the benefits of the £5 card. The item I wanted wasn’t in the store she explained a new delivery was due, advising me to phone the following day. The item I wanted had come in and she set it aside for me, I collected it today . Very pleased she is an asset to the company!

The knowledgeable, friendly service, Steven seemed to know immediately what was required. No pressure selling, boots looked and felt fantastic, confident in our purchase.

Megan and Rory helped me with a problem i had and got it sorted straight away. They were both very helpful and knowledgeable. Would make the journey to Southport before going to Wigan which is much closer to where I live when I want to purchase something again.

Ben was very helpful when I came to buy a coat for my father who has dementia. He was knowledgeable about the products and which helped me make a decision to pick the right coat for my dad’s requirements. He even kindly tried on some coats to show the fit and shape of the coats . A valuable member of the go outdoors team. Thankyou

I wasn't sure what my kids needed for scout camp. Ben and Lorna (if I got thier names correct) really helped out.

Fantastic product knowledge delivered with smiles

I went into Go Outdoors in Southport yesterday. I was looking for a birthday gift and a Christmas gift. There were 2 young men in the shop called Will and Ste, there was only me in the store at the time. They were both so friendly and helpful but not pushy, the type of people you hope will approach you when you go into a shop. They were both very helpful and I ended up with exactly what I was looking for.
10 out of 10 Will and Steve and well done Southport Go Outdoors for having such pleasant professional staff.

Rory was amazingly helpful and went above and beyond to help me sort out my UPS parcel drop off. I would give 6 stars if I could! Amazon makes it so complicated and confusing for customers that the staff here have to help with the forms and what order they all go in and where to place them on the package. Apparently this happens regularly. I’ve also heard from my husband that they were incredibly helpful when he took our daughter to get some camping gear this summer. Thank you everyone at Go Outdoors - your super sterling service is very much appreciated :)

I had faulty zip on my Berghaus over trousers. ther was no issue with a replacement. Only problem was my Go Outdoor account did not have the purchase registered. On checking my current accounht I was able to prove I had in fact purchased the trousers in July 2025. I was able to then get a replacement pair of trousers. I was very satisfied withn the service in Southport.

Second visit to this store this week after buying waterproof shoes and trousers and helped enormously by Sam on Sunday.
Bought winter walking trousers today, again helpful and knowledgeable staff, unlike my local store back home.

Purchasing our new walking shoes was made easy by Will. We have made a trip to store once before where he gave us lots of information about what was suitable for our needs but we made no purchase at that time. Today we returned and Will was very helpful again in assisting us make our purchases, knowledgeable about the products and very personable. Would definitely use this store again. Thank you.
