I was on the fence if this product was as good as it was being claimed but I have to admit, it’s really very good and meets the claims of curing stinky odours left in some materials, this actual includes a couple of towels that would otherwise have been consigned to car oil servicing duties before being consigned to the bin. I have very temperamental skin that reacts to all sorts of potential irritants and I’m pleased to say zero skin reactions too. As for the yellowed pits of my white polyester tops, they’re no longer yellow and none of my gear has that not fully clean musty smell that even with liquid washing additives wouldn’t remove. So I’d 100% recommend it and will be restocking once I’ve used my two bags.

Love this stuff. I use on gym wear and football kits and it is an absolute game changer for getting teen school shirts smelling fresh! It’s the one product I’ve tried and loved because it simply and effectively does what it says it will do, and I now wouldn’t be without it.

Based on previous reviews and word of mouth I gave gymwash a go and have not been disappointed. Even after multiple washes my kit always used to still smell of mud no matter how clean it looked. Since using gymwash that smell is long gone and I would never look back!

Great for allergies
Easy to use, does the job, I struggle with allergies and fragrances but also use a lot of synthetic clothing for sports and find the clothes last longer if washed in specific sports washes that don’t clog the clothes they actually wash. I have been impressed with gym wash as when I discovered I was allergic to fragrances I struggled to find a wash that worked for gym clothes etc. When I found gym wash and tried it i am really impressed that it works and I don’t react to it as the fragrance it uses are naturally occurring although if they could produce a completely fragrance free one that would be even better.

The prompt turnaround in receiving this product. The owner's instructions on how to get the most of the product was much appreciated. The handy scoop was worth the add, as it made it a lot easier to work out the dosage. If you need to improve your workout gear I'd recommend checking Gymwash out.

I was cynical when this product arrived. I have a lot of stinky sports kit but I also spend a lot of time horse riding and working with a pack of drag hounds so I have lots of really grim shirts and wot not that always seem to have a lingering unpleasant scent. I thought the images of filth soaking out in a bowl of gym wash had been faked - until I soaked my riding/kennels hoody and saw the water turn an unpleasant shade of dark grey verging on black! I've also just tried two scoops in a normal wash and it has obviously done the trick there too as the colour catcher I used was black!

Very effective. We had some sportswear that wasn't noticeably stinky but was certainly fresher after a Gymwash. We also had a number of regular poly-cotton t-shirts and a Gymwash pre-soak followed by a regular Gymwash in the machine massively improved them and I reckon another wash will sort them out completely.

I honestly was rather sceptical about this product. We’re a very sporty family, but also sometimes a bit disorganised (the teenagers, not me!). Sweaty, stinky kit can be left festering at the bottom of gym bags for days and probably weeks at a time before making their way to the washing machine. I had tried all the standard remedies for putrid smells on synthetic fibres but was at the stage of resigning myself to replacing a lot of kit. GYMWASH was my last hope. And it delivered. I soaked a bunch of the worst stuff in a bucket and couldn’t believe the colour of the water after an hour, even though this was freshly washed kit! And genuinely, the stink has gone. Not only gone when freshly washed, but no musty smell when dry, and the stink doesn’t return the moment the kit is used again. Kit that I was going to have to bin is now as fresh as the day it was bought. Precious race shirts, team kits and ‘lucky vests’ are all now back being worn. I don’t know what voodoo magic goes into GYMWASH but it’s brilliant. Buy it. You won’t regret it.

Using gym wash has made a big difference to how my active wear and gym kit smell. Using normal detergent and softeners weren't cutting it. Gym wash changed the game and made them smell more refreshed, especially stuff like knee supports/lifting sleeves.

Amazing product. I wash my super sweaty jujitsu gi with gym wash and it comes out smelling so fresh.
I have gym tops that I was close to throwing away but after using the product I can keep them for more training. Looking forward to buying more when I run out!

After noticing traditional washing detergent wasn’t properly cleaning gym & sports wear I gave this a try a year ago and have been using ever since. It’s got rid of any sweaty or musty smells from clothes and leaves them with a neutral smell when clean.

I’m a bit cynical about ordering products advertised online and I did hesitate before ordering Gymwash but I’m now onto my second bag. I had T shirts that smelled clean after washing but became smelly within an hour of wearing them - Gymwash sorted this. It also works on running gear and mountain bike tops that have developed permastink, even on a sports wash at low temperatures. Very impressed!

I have been a GymWash customer for years now and I can not recommend this product enough.

As a very sweaty, regular runner I have tried a lot of products (unsuccessfully) before I stumbled upon GymWash...nothing to loose I though, but unlikely to work. Well, I was very happy to eat my words! This really does what it says in the bag, without harsh chemicals damaging my kit.

I would recommed a good pre-soak the first time you use it, and then as long as you're using it for all subsequent washes it keeps your kit looking, feeling, and most importantly smelling, fresh!
I am not a fan of overly fragranced cleaning products, so the mild scent of tee-tree is perfect if you prefer not to have your kit smelling of flowers!

Ohh and the 'kitbag' is perfect for keeping sweaty stinky kit nicely enclosed if you run to work!!

Bought this to try and was amazed by the results. Sweaty running clothes really clean and smell fresh after just one wash. Easy to use and works on low temperatures too. I tried a cheaper product, but really noticed a difference and will now not use anything else. I’m on my 6th order now. Definitely recommend it.

What a difference this makes to my gym clothes and my son’s rugby kit. Astonished by the colour of the water after soaking and now simply use to wash. Everything smalls fresh with no mild odours as I start to sweat and work hard!

I am on my second order of Gymwash. I am a trail runner and my stuff gets pretty stinky and I was close to 'retiring' some of my running clothes - particularly the tops This product has completely rejuvenated my favourite running clothes. I have also been using it on some of my husband's work shirts and t-shirts that were getting a bit 'ripe' shall we say hah! Gymwash has done a brilliant job on refreshing those too. Genuinely quite envious of the person who came up with this genius of a product. I am a bit sceptical of products advertised on Facebook and have had my fingers burnt a couple of times but this stuff is very very good.

When I read the Gymwash reviews I was a little cynical - I was close to throwing away several pieces of gym kit, especially some sports bras (which are not cheap if you need the decent support ones). I'd tried various vinegar, bicarb, soda crystal combinations to get the lingering smell out of my gym wear, but the musty smell always came back part way through a gym workout as I warmed up. I thought I'd give Gymwash a go, although it seems expensive, compared to standard detergent; it was cheaper than having to replace even a single sports bra. I'm so glad I did - it worked. Some items needed a second wash, but the lingering smell has finally gone. Every so often I do a soak of my gymwear. I don't use Gymwash everytime I wash my gymwear if it hasn't been a particularly hard workout, but it is a lifesaver if the gymwear has been left a day or so before being washed, or it's gotten really sweaty. Also recommended for teenage boys clothing :-)

I’m a very heavy sweater and usually work out at least once a day, so my gym kit gets put through a fairly brutal existence.

Even after washing everything thoroughly with normal supermarket detergent, it would come out smelling fresh and lovely… then, within a few minutes of putting it on, the dreaded “something has died in this T-shirt” smell would make its return.

I’ve used Gymwash about five times now and, so far, no comeback from the lurking gym-kit funk. Everything actually stays smelling fresh while I’m wearing it, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Very happy with it.

The only downside is that it’s completely ruined my excuse for buying more running and gym kit. Apparently, “I need another top because all mine smell” is no longer a valid financial strategy.

After seeing gymwash on social media I thought I’d give my current gym kit and work shirts one last chance of being fresh before buying new.
I used the soak method in a couple of large buckets and left the kit to soak for 40mins. The dirty water was gross at the end of the soak, black and it felt greasy.
The clothes came out smelling fresh, better than new and felt very clean (once dry).

I have washed the work shirts as normal since and they are still fresh and feeling clean.
The gym kit has been washed a few times with our normal detergent and it’s still fresh, and a couple of times with a scoop of gymwash instead of our normal detergent for that deep clean.

Super impressed.

Will defo be buying again rather than buying new gym kit every couple of months.

I decided to try Gymwash due to my partner’s allergies, which prevent us from using usual laundry detergents. There are only a few options available to us that don’t trigger a reaction, and they’re always naturally derived, completely unscented, etc. I’m cool with that but I noticed that my clothes never felt properly clean. I’d have to wear things within a couple of days of washing them or else they would develop a musty smell, and this was especially noticeable with gym clothing.
So I ordered a pack of Gymwash to see how we’d get on with it. Got to say - I’m impressed! My clothes are coming out feeling genuinely clean in a way I’ve really missed. To my nose they don’t have a particular scent to them - they just smell fresh, even when I wear them in the gym. The true test was my partner’s allergies and I am happy to say they are not triggered by this product in any way. Obviously we’re all different and I can’t guarantee everyone will find the same, but if you are sensitive to detergent, especially when you’re drying laundry and putting it into the air, this is worth a try. Additionally, the fact I only need a tablespoon per wash load is fantastic.
