Wonderful Happy House sounds…
We cannot thank Happy House sounds enough for the amazing night of music at our wedding.
We felt Dave went above and beyond for us. We had a planning meeting whereby Dave was thorough and wanted to know exactly what we wanted for our special night of entertainment. This is where Dave’s knowledge and enthusiasm shone.
Outside of his remit, Dave also assisted with the organisation of some fireworks and sparklers!
Just fantastic - we 100% recommend

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ…
We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. DJ gave us a call beforehand to go through all the details and was so flexible with our different ideas. One of the highlights was how seamlessly he transitioned from my brother playing the violin into the music – he had everything prepared and it was perfect. Professional, easy to work with, and truly made the evening flow beautifully. Highly recommend!

I hired Happy Sounds Disco for my wedding.
I had paid for 2 hours of children’s entertainment including music and games. We did not receive this service that we paid for.
Even though all the children were outside and in the eyesight of the DJ during the allocated time slot, he did not alert guests that he was ready to begin the games for the children. He made no attempt to engage with the children. He did not speak to guests or inform anybody that he was ready.
He alleged he had games set up and ready, but no guests saw them.
In the wedding breakfast we had to provide our own Spotify list for background music. There was issues with the Bluetooth disconnecting which caused us delays with our enterance, meal and then speeches.
He also asked us to provide a Spotify play list so he can get a sense of the music we like. I made it clear to him that I wanted music played that isn’t on the playlist, and to only use it to see which musicians and type of music we like.
It appears he used our Spotify list for the music only, which was really disappointing.
I regret choosing him for our wedding and wish I had gone elsewhere, where better services would have been provided.
Highly disappointed and would not recommend!!!

We have spent several hours messaging back and forth today to discuss issues raised.
It reached a point where there is nothing constructive left that i can say to end this discourse. There is no reasoning with you.
At no point during todays messaging did you raise an issue about bluetooth connectivity. Why bring this to my attention now in a review? You had oppotunity on the day to make this issue known as well as the entire week afterwards.
We provided that service free of charge. It was working perfectly at 9am when setup. We demonstated it to one of your guests who was nominated by you to play the background music.
The bluetooth input has a 100ft (30m) range. Which is more than the size of most rooms. Was the phone being used to play the music taken outside of the function room? Why was it not left on the DJ stand by the bluetooth input?
Had the source device of music been left on the DJ stand, you would not have experienced issues with bluetooth. We cannot predict where the source device will be or accept responsibilty for any issues caused by bluetooth range.
We also provided a wireless microphone for speeches/toasts (free of charge) which i know was placed on top table but was not used. I stood with other suppliers and venue staff looking through the function room doors as you and the bridal party made speeches, without using the microphone.
With regards to the spotify playlist, you were very meticulous in what you wanted playing. While i did play some tracks from your spotify playlist, it was not exhaustive. I played tracks from similar artists and genres too. Its difficult to "not play" songs from your idea's list when the playlist you provided was 256 Songs (Some 16 hours long) there is going to be some overlap while keeping within your agreed genres of music.
Now to address the childrens entertainment. You were invoiced for 1.5 hours of childrens entertainent, Not 2. The times were 16:30-18.00 pm. We had a 2nd PA system setup outside on the green at 16:30pm playing childrens music. Your meal/speeches and toasts were running late.
Contrary to what you claim, we saw a total of 2 children who popped in /out. Some of your guests were outside smoking on the patio, yourself included. It was not our responsibilty to round up the children for games. We have already pre-advised you in messages before the wedding that we are not registered child minders/baby sisters and cannot provide any service relating to that.
Childrens music playing is a pretty good indicator that we were ready for the childrens games, but again it was not my responsibilty to round up children.. and i certainly was not going to disrupt your speeches/toasts to entertain the few children outside.
At no point did i aledge games were setup. I told you that we had the games and props ready to setup. I suggst you re-read the message i sent you.
there was no point setting up games until more children arrived as the games would not work with only 2 children.
The child disco party could not be extended as your evening reception was scheduled for 18.00pm
I feel that those reading this review need context:
From Day 1 you have been very perticular with your requirements, you have sent us 20 times more messages in the run up to your wedding than any other couple typically does. I understand you want things to flow smoothly but there is a limit to how much you can plan and i feel that you are aiming your displeasure at us because the wedding breakfast did not run on time.
The knock on effect meant that your wedding brekfast and speeches ran into the time when the childrens disco was scheduled for.
We provided 1.5 hours of childrens music, regardless of whether the children were outside to hear it or to play games.
Your displeasure manifested into discourse when we declined your refund request for services we have provided.

More than delivered for our wedding.
We hired Happy Sounds at short notice for our wedding after a last-minute issue with the venue’s sound system — and I’m so glad we did. Dave went above and beyond: the setup was fast, he took the time to show me how everything worked, and even provided a second speaker for the ceremony without hesitation. I can’t thank him enough. If you need a brilliant DJ or a high-quality sound setup, I’d highly recommend HSMD. The service was excellent, and the price is incredibly fair for what’s provided.

Happy Sounds Mobile Disco did a fantastic job of providing disco lighting for our wedding day. They were quick to reply to messages and were able to offer support and advice with what equipment would work best with our chosen venue. The disco lighting was just perfect for what we wanted and we were so pleased with their service. They also went out of their way to change their plans at the last minute to accommodate a later set up time for us to ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible.
