In all my life I have never had a business like Hornby train restorations Solihull be so unprofessional and not care for a customer.
I blame myself partly for not reviewing this company prior to sending my repair.
I can't recommend that you DON'T use this place. I am writing off my locomotive to write this review and warn others keep away,the owner Gary does not answer emails and when I eventually got to talk to him he is the rudest man I have ever spoke to.
See other reviews on this business before choosing a different repair shop.
You have been warned....

I sent my Son's faulty Hornby engine Sir Dinaden to Hornby Train Restorations on 20 January (By tracked delivery) and have still heard nothing back. Amazingly awful service. If they can't process the work they should say so on their advertising ! Just terrible. Steer well clear if you want wor4k done in a reasonable amount of time.

I accidentally paid for 2 James bond 007 model Aston Martin's whilst ordering online.I called Tracy in customer service who sorted out my mistake,and phoned me back at home on a Friday afternoon to say she had sorted my mistake. Model is of great quality and about £10 cheaper than other sellers, best going to company direct

I sent off two Horby Dublo locomotives for renovation and they were received by this company on 3rd February 2020.
1 train is worth £85.98 and 1 train that has not been valued. Probably circa £150.
I paid £143 to get them renovated to this company.
Total cost of all is £85.98 + £150 + £143 = £378.98
There has been little communication from this company. 5 months later they still had not done anything to fix my engines.
I had contacted the company multiple times, with little response from them. They have responded once or twice just stating there are delays. It has been 5 months !
This Company has no Conscience. They take your money and don’t care or fix your toys / engine. They sent my engine back in bits !
I honestly advise you do not ever use this Company. They have no obligation, no customer care and real awful company.
