They will send you junk mail forever and there is no way to get them to stop. When phoning their customer service they will deny having any record of you on their system, yet the junk catalogues will never end. They passed my details around all of the companies they own and I receive junk mail from them all.
Don’t even think about ordering from them or any of the companies they own unless you want to spend the rest of your life binning their correspondence

Purchased a pair of Gortex trainers and…
Purchased a pair of Gortex trainers and as anyone knows you pay extra as Gortex makes an item waterproof.
These trainers let in water and would not be accepted as faulty as I had worn them, shameful. How do you know it will let in water unless worn? Would not buy again.
Poor Quality Trainers
What's happened to Hotter shoes? I have bought them for years, but my recent purchases have fallen well below the standard. I've just returned a pair of Rosie Trainers the first l've ever purchased, and they were awful. They were too tight around the toes, they didn't fit properly around the ankle. On one shoe l had a big gap around the foot, this was due to a bulge in the leather. The other shoe still had a gap without the bulge. I've never known such a poor fitting footwear. It will be last time l make a purchase from Hotter, they've lost the plot, and it's too costly having to pay for delivery and then return all because it's no longer possible to go to a store and try them on. Hotter you will not have the pleasure of my custom again!!
Design fault
I just bought Hotter ankle boots called Foxton. They are comfortable once on but I've never had so much trouble getting a pair of boots on in my life! The zip is way too far forward so you physically cant get your heel in!

I ordered the coral sandals which cost £63.75. They were a terrible state when I received them, all faded and stitching coming out. I immediately rang and the lady was lovely and said she’d send me a free returns label and after checking them I should get a full refund. I’ve been refunded £56.30! When I rang up they said they’ve taken the postage off which I think is extremely unfair when they were at fault. I said I will not recommend them in the future and definitely won’t be ordering again as I can’t afford to be throwing money away.
Absolutely disgusting customer service…
Absolutely disgusting customer service in the Canterbury store. Shoes shoved into my fiancée’s chest by a member of staff, whispering while we were present and overall unwelcoming behaviour and attitude. I really hope the directors see this. This happened today 11/9/2025 around 1pm. Disappointing to say the least. We would have bought at least two pairs of shoes/trainers as we were shopping for my father in laws birthday. We took our business elsewhere where it was appreciated.

Lovely comfortable uppers, but I have had several hardly used pairs sat in the cupboard and then fall to bits. Sometimes caused embarrassment while out shopping. Today, a pair stuck to the kitchen floor!
Time to sort this out hotter.

If buying with a discount be even more wary. They deduct outbound and return postage for any return so you will be out of pocket if the product is not suitable.
No Longer A Customer
First of all I realize these shoes are being shipped from overseas, HOWEVER, it never took 2 months to reach me in Florida in the past. Once the sandals arrived, the stench from the box was horrific! These shoes were NOT made of leather. And no where on the box or the shoe does it state where they were made. The box is still in the garage because I can't deal with the chemical smell of the shoes. i will NEVER purchase from them again!

Good quality, good service
Good quality, good service. I wear the Mist gtx shoes all the time and am on my feet all day. Very comfortable and hard wearing, and I have had several pairs over the years.
Such a shame gone downhill…
One shoe looked ok.The other had obvious stitching imperfections and the tag attached to the tongue was well off to one side.I saw they were made abroad,I thought Hotter were made in UK.I had bought the shoes discounted and looking at returns policy it didn't seem worth sending them back.Within a few weeks they were £20 less than I'd paid.Have had good shoes from. Hotter in the past but will ask where they are made if I think of buying any again.
Postage and refund
I ordered a pair of hotter Marly boots and paid £4.95 postage. They were too tight and l had to return them at a cost of £2.95, total postage £7.90!!
I was not aware that l would have to pay return postage. I had to wait 14days for a refund.
Excellent service
Excellent service from the person I spoke to regarding delivery of my shoes. I ordered them on the Tuesday hopefully to get them on the Saturday before my holiday. Not received by the Friday so called Hotter Shoes and explained the situation and she managed to get them for delivery next day (Saturday). They arrived lunch time Saturday. Thank you very much to whoever I spoke to on the Friday . I am well pleased with the shoes and excellent service I received.
False inaccurate sizing
Sizing too small.
Im size 8 wide.
Bought size 8 womens GTX extra wide as read reviews saying small sizing.
Too small. Toe box tight and toes at the end. No half sizes.
Would have been ideal otherwise.
Not sure whether to order a 9 or if a size 8 wide in mens would be better. Annoying.

I would like to compliment Harry of the Glasgow Store in the Buchanan Shopping Centre. He was so, so helpful to me today Sunday 17th August 25! Harry is knowledgeable, friendly, caring, most helpful and I am really pleased with my purchase of one pair of trainers and one pair of slippers.
No reduction on shop- soiled items
A relative collected shoes for me from a store as I have mobility issues.
On trying the shoes on I noticed greasy toe- shaped marks inside both shoes. My relative took them back to the shop and i would have thought a reduction in price should be offered as compensation. We were told that this was caused by people trying items on and the composition material. My thoughts were that the depth of the imprints made this unlikely.
The shoes were reduced as part of the standard sale but were still £69. I think it is reasonable to expect unspoiled shoes. We left the shoes and await a refund. The customer service online number said they could not assist due to the shoes having been purchased in store. A disappointing response from a large company.
