IMO Car Wash - Ely (Tesco) Reviews 24

My last visit to this particular station went very smooth. on Saturday, before the noon. No queues; as long i have purchased 'triple wax' before had no trouble with payment. My car had just dust's after-rain stains, and after wash had dryer and auto 'wipe off' thing, i had to clear the side mirrors only.

Friendly staff but the overall finish on the wash was not great. The drying process particularly bad and we have now got spots on the paintwork and windows where it was barely dried.
Drove out and there was still marks on the windscreen that hadn’t washed off.
Paid for the highest wash.

My first visit. Car not completely clean but more annoyingly left with multiple scratches on bonnet and elsewhere. No acceptance of responsibility by on site team. Manager not contactable by phone. Asked to come back at the end of the day when they 'should' be back. One word summary? Avoid.

Good price, friendly assistants and cleans the car well. Their mini valet is great and gets the inside of the car and windows clean

Good car wash, quick and friendly service.

Paid for the ultra HD expecting it to be a massive difference, came out with dirty rims and a dirty car, went 2 weeks ago and paid for a cheaper one which showed better results

Poor. App took too long to confirm wash, had to buy more expensive wash onsite, an wash of vehicle very poor. Wheels still dirty, rear of car areas still dirty and glass externally has dirt.

Good Service.

I visited Ely car wash and requested ultra HD wash priced at £14. I was then offered glass shine and wheel shine for £1 so agreed.
I paid £15 and when going through the car wash i noticed the programme was triple foam that costs £5.50 less and not ultra HD.
When i challenged Tarri the operator he said he had explained it. Wrong you misold a product as I never received the correct wash I paid for.
Shame as I used this company regular. Now with this I will send my fleet elsewhere!!!!

Purchased an Ultra HD wash. The body work was somewhat cleaner but the wheels looked untouched. I didn't see any foam applied on the alloys as indicated on the list of what Ultra HD includes. Do not recommend the Ely one, terrible customer service. Looked like the attendants didn't want to be there and one of them was distracted with friends.

It's disappointing as I was looking for a company to clean the fleet of cars for my business. Unfortunately it will not be this company.

The app makes it very easy to purchase a wash and receive VAT receipts.

Paid for a full ceramic wash but diddent get any shampoo or wax treatment and felt the whole set up was speeded up due to people quing , went in a quick spray of water then the brushes straight after to the blower which only did the front half. £19.00 for a £2.00 wash !

Generally ok but missed bits of the car which were visibly still dirty- for the more expensive of the washes on offer this is disappointing. Having said that the car was particularly dirty!

Good overall experience however the drying function wasn’t very good so the car came out still very wet.

Bit of bird poo was left in window despite me pointing it out to attendant.

Being able to purchase the wash ahead of time is useful, a simple QR code scan and we can carry on means we save time and keep the queue flowing.
However, an issue on this occasion comes from how slowly the app updated with the purchased wash, leading me to buy twice, because I was led to believe the purchase hadn’t gone through.

Things sadly didn’t improve after that. Being held in the queue as the car wash ground to a halt as a windscreen wiper had been damaged on the car in front - making me a little nervous about entering next!

When I did enter I have to confess I have a bit of skepticism about the top level “Ceramic XTR”. I didn’t see much evidence of the chassis wash - something badly needed in the winter.
Also, given the fact I left with still dirty wheels, the “Alloy Spa” and wheel cleaning might need a rework.

But still, quick, easy, just not quite worth the top wash.

Too rushed, too distracted. Each car gets a different level of attention because there’s too much of a rush to clear the queue. This is not a cheap service, do a better job.

Paid £19 for the XTR Ceramic Wash at IMO Car Wash in Ely – supposedly the premium option. What a joke. The car came out looking like it had been through a light drizzle rather than a wash. No pre-wash, no attention to detail – just the same as the basic one but over twice the price.

When I pointed out the dirty patches, the attendant cheerfully told me “your car looks clean”. Sadly, I don’t share his eyesight. Save your money and go elsewhere – or better yet, wait for it to rain.
