Recommended law firm
I instructed this law firm recently to deal with a winding up payment petition following non payment of a court judgement. This firm was very prompt and efficient in dealing with my matter and I would recommend this law firm.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY!! They have stolen a large amount of money from me. I paid costs in advance to present a winding-up petition, court fee and Gazette publication to deal with an unrecovered, undisputed CCJ company debt. I had given up on recovering the debt which was small compared to the winding-up costs paid so Winding-up was the only option. After trying to recover the debt unsuccessfully Insolvency & Laws director finally admitted when put under pressure that he had no intention of presenting the petition or refunding the costs paid. Nearly two months wasted and communications only answered when we threatened action after requesting a refund. Ignore the impressive website and video testimonials - this is a sham company operating from a virtual office. Company currently under investigation. Hearing, case number F5QZ4D9F 6/1/20 - successful recovery of all money paid and costs.
RESPONSE TO PETER MURRAY 30/1/20
This is obviously getting to you Peter - the price you eventually have to pay for running a dishonest business.
I paid you specifically to issue a winding-up petition as proven by the initial recorded telephone conversation and your invoice for costs to issue a winding-up petition. My debt was undisputed so the petition should have been progressed immediately. There was no requirement or worth in the intimidatory letter you sent to the debtor company or the pseudo statutary demand presented. A Statutary Demand is required where the debt is disputed but has a particular format and 21 day cooling off period. Your pseudo statutary demand with incorrect detail and no cooling off period, should it be required, would be rejected by the court and no winding-up petition issued. The delay and final refusal to issue the winding-up petition allowed the debtor company to enter Creditor Voluntary Liquidation. You arrange this service too for debtor companies so there is conflict of interest.
After speaking to several of your clients I have worked out how this scam works for you. Upfront costs charged for the winding-up petition with no intention or ability to issue. Most debts will be significant and disputed. The intial demand letter followed up by the pseudo statutary demand are usually enough to intimidate the debtor company with limited legal knowledge into paying the debt and you also charge them costs, not incurred to issue a winding-up petition. You have now received two significant payments for a service you have not provided. You charge your client a percentage of the recovered debt less the winding-up petition costs initially paid. The debtor company has paid you the issue cost of a winding-up petition you had no intent or ability to provide.
For those of you interested and not familiar with the director of Insolvency & Law, Peter Murray I recommend reading the Amazon reviews of his book 'self-made' by P J Murray(Pee Jay). Peter was a gangster and criminal, now allegedly reformed. I suggest you make up your own mind before considering using the services of his company.
The website has as much credibility as the virtual office. Google Insolvency & Law and look at the Companies house entry. All you need to know is there. Company currently owned by a struck off company in Belize.
Needless to say I won't be using you again Peter and have fun with that appeal. Not turning up to a small claims hearing and sending a solicitor to represent you was a basic mistake.

Your efforts to answer my honest feedback smack of desperation as does the plethora of very recent fake feedback and responses. Your book, self-made is currently ranked 426,295 which equates to 11 a month. Launched in Feb 2019, reasonably obvious that people do not 'get it' and why, despite the inplausible number of contrived reviews on Amazon did you think they would?

Dear Rob, it’s a real shame you feel this way. You paid for a debt enforcement service, which may include the presentation of a winding-up petition. You expected winding-up petition proceedings right away but it was not possible based on the due diligence information we later received. We had to ensure the right timing and correct facts. You chose to cancel the service and demanded your money back and we refused because it would be contrary to our terms and conditions. At no time did we steal your money. You referred the matter to the county court and we were ordered to pay your fees and costs. You will be aware, although we made payment to you, we have appealed the judgment because we consider the judgment flawed.
Our business has been established for over 10 years. If we stole money, which is a criminal offence, and are a sham company, as you claim, we would not be in business today. We are also unaware of any investigation into this company, as you claim. We are apologetic that you should feel this way and make such false claims. Please let me present some real facts:
Our track record in recovering lost monies, investments, and other assets for creditors since 2017 speaks for itself:
• In 2019, while representing creditors in a claim for £12m; I&L assisted in the settlement of a 3rd-party claim for £85m following the collapse of a bond-selling insurance company.
• In 2018, following the collapse of a property group; we assisted in securing £7m for 148 investors with a 3rd-party claim of £13m (50% recovered), and are currently pursuing the remaining £6m.
• In 2017, I&L successfully secured 100% of a £1m claim for 12 investors.
Having reviewed your case, we have sought to further improve the way we do business and service our clients. We have learnt lessons and have progressed.
Finally, your claim that we operate from a virtual office is simply not true. You should come and visit us. We have more than one office (one is shared with a virtual office provider) and employ a team of 10 enthusiastic staff. In addition, we retain the services of barristers and have been working alongside solicitors and insolvency practitioners for the duration of our existence, which is our business model.
Once again, we apologise for your experience and would welcome the opportunity to serve you again if the opportunity arose.

Hello again Rob, clearly anyone reading the content of your review and your response to my initial response and any further responses will quickly note you have, for no just reason, embarked on a malicious campaign to deliberately cause maximum harm to this business.
I have already responded in detail to your review and your response to it clearly shows you do not understand the operation of our services. Further, your explanation of statutory demands and the winding-up petition process clearly reveals you do not know how they actually work. Neither do you understand how we provide our services and the fee structure.
Our long record of achievements, as demonstrated by our video testimonials and written reviews provided by users of our services, evidently do not support any of your unfounded comments about our services.
Yes, I do have a past from teenage years; everyone has. I am now 53. Finally, anyone reading your comments will conclude you don’t get to stay in business for over 10 years with a long record of great service, happy clients, and acknowledgments without integrity being at the center of all that you do.
All said and done, once again, please receive my apology for the service you received. We are willing to make it up by being of super service to you if the need should ever arise.
