I was very sceptical initially when looking for a solution for an improved conservatory roof to help regulate the temperature.

Many of the companies I approached had dreadfully pushy sales people, who once had my details simply would not leave me alone! Calls such as 'I'd hate for you to lose the discount we've reserved for you'. Like I was born yesterday! Whatsapp messages at 10pm. Seriously!!

However, we stumbled upon Kingswood online, and decided to get one last quote before we gave up on the idea. I'm so pleased we did.

I had a call back from a nice chap who didn't beat about the bush with the prices, or give me any of that 'can we put a board up and give you a discount' crap. Refreshingly, I gave the size, and he said, it will cost you X. He explained more about the product, and bit about the business. Perfect, no BS and a price within a few mins.

I placed the order a day or so later, paid the deposit, and was given a date for installation which was within the time scales that were promised when I had the initial call.

On the day of installation, the two chaps (John and Scott) arrived on time, were clean and tidy in their approach, answered all the questions I had before starting, and got the job done. I'm quite fussy with works in our home, and I came home from work ready to start snagging. Nothing to snag, great job indeed.

The finished product looks great. I was worried that we'd lose too much light. That has not been the case. It's pretty warm here at the moment, and the edge has certainly been taken off the heat in the conservatory. I'm looking forward to see the results in the Winter months, but already I am pretty sure this system is ideal for us.

For ref, we have approx. 5m x 4m conservatory, in an East facing garden. When we open the door to the conservatory in the summer mornings, the heat hits you. This has already proven to have reduced to a comfortable level.

Fitters arrived promptly, Jon & Scott were on time, professional, polite and very tidy. They did a fantastic job putting the ceiling in our conservatory. We can already feel the benefit, in fact the following morning I sat out there at 7am just looking around, it looks amazing.

We waited a couple of weeks before writing this review so we could be sure of it. Firstly the fitters John and Scott were quick, pleasant, efficient and did a great job. On the day I was more than happy with how the room looked but wanted to see just how much warmer it was.
So we now have a lovely extra room that we use all the time, a complete transformation from the cold bleak conservatory before. Absolutely love it, the price was excellent and the results better than expected

From the initial phone call requesting a quote to the visit from Jeff to measure and price who I will hasten to add was not the usual pushy salesman he listened to what we wanted made suggestions and took the time to explain the process along with quoting a very competitive price. To today three weeks later John and Scott arrived on time they were very pleasant got to work straight away. Again any questions we had they answered and explained what and how things would be done. They were very tidy and now I have a conservatory that has gone from a cold uninviting space to a bright inviting room. Thank you, I will have no hesitation in recommending you keep up the excellent service.

We decided to have our conservatory roof insulated as the summer sunlight made it unbearable to sit inside.
After checking out the company video on the website we decided to have them come and do the work.
The tradesman that fitted the conservatory insulation were very efficient and done a magnificent job. We were extremely pleased with the finished product, and would have no hesitation in recommending the company to others.

An excellent product our conservatory is now a perfect temperature even in 30 degree heat - the service was great, the price excellent value and was installed in under five hours by really nice chaps who left the place immaculate. Would recommend to anyone.

From start to finish, the whole process was flawless and professional. After reading the negative comments, we were a bit dubious, but wanting a few quotes, we were left highly delighted with both the office side and consequently, the fitting team.
Initially talking with Lee, we were convinced that this was the service we wanted. He explained, in not too technical terms, the benefits of insulating our roof. Their salesman Jeff came round, and we were sold.
Almost 3 weeks later, the fitters (John and Scott) arrived, on time, and we're polite and explained the process of works. They helped clear the conservatory, laid down their dust sheets and cracked on. 5 hours later, we had an amazing new room.
Brilliant job. Cannot praise the company, and especially the fitters, too much.
I have already recommended and will again.

I originally posted a 5 star review for our insulated roof, but have had to change it.

Before the installation I mentioned the fact our roof had a leak. I was advised that, whilst they couldn’t guarantee this could be fixed, they would do what they can to resolve it. All they did was put some sealant on the inside of the roof panels (rather than the outside which seems more sensible)

We’ve since had someone else come to look at the roof as the leaking has continued in heavy rain. Transpires one of the roof panels has slipped. This had happened before the roof insulation was installed, because the fittings Kingswood used have gone through the slipped panel & now cannot be moved back into place.

I’ve tried to contact Kingswood about this but have had no response. Having had it pointed out, you can clearly see the panel isn’t in its correct position. Knowing we had a leak, surely the Kingswood fitters should have checked this before putting the insulation in?

Really disappointing and frustrating that, despite initial good impressions, transpires the quality of the fitting is poor - feels like they just want to get the roof insulated as quick as they can, ignoring the customer request to address the leak, and leaving the roof in a state worse than it was as it cannot be fixed. And now they’re not responding to me.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

We had our Conservatory Roof insulated on Monday 19th October. After the fitters had left, we were far from happy with the finished work.
We spoke to Lee who asked for photos to substantiate our complaints which we sent by e-mail. Our main grievance was the many gaps in the joined sections
which made the work look very unprofessional.
He arranged for another installer to come on Wednesday November 4th who completed the roof most competently and we are now very satisfied. The conservatory is much warmer and quieter- especially the sound of rain.

so far it has done just what we had hoped. Improved sound proofing and attractive to look at. Much better than what was there.

item installed quickly by the 2 fitters, it had a good test within days as outside temps reached 32deg, but inside the conservatory it was pleasant 22deg.
also when it does rain the noise has almost gone, we are now using the room right throughout the year
