I have now changed my review completely from the first impression and experience i had purely due to the impeccable manner in which International Open Academy have handled this - immediately no less!
I can not applaud them enough in how genuine in their response and desire to ensure everything was understood, quickly remedied and also, then clearly explained to me where the initial issues had arose from!
Here's a small part of their response to me explaining how they have taken over from Trendimi (just in case you bought from wowcher as i did)
"To clarify, Trendimi was previously a sister company of International Open Academy, and we have recently integrated our offerings. While we still have some live deals available through our partners, all courses are now accessible on our platform. Any voucher from Trendimi should work on our website, but I understand that the redemption process may not have been clear, and I appreciate your feedback regarding the website experience."
I want to give particular thanks and appreciation to Bruno Amaral who took responsibility of my concerns and issues. He is honestly outstanding as he not only acted professionally and efficiently but more importantly to me...he responded in a very understanding and human way (so hard to find in most of the corporate industry today!) If you had bought from wowcher then be assured they are genuine but wowcher's codes sometimes don't work on there but just contact them via their website (or send an email directly to - support@ internationalopenacademy.com) and they will very quickly get your course up and running for you :)

To clarify, Trendimi was previously a sister company of International Open Academy, and our courses have recently been integrated into one platform. This means that some Trendimi vouchers now need to be redeemed through International Open Academy, and in some cases the course titles may appear slightly different even though the content is the same.
Occasionally, discrepancies with voucher codes issued by third‑party partners like Wowcher can lead to errors during redemption, and I appreciate how confusing this can be. Your feedback about the website experience and pop‑ups is also noted — we are continuously working to improve the user journey.

I have always wanted to draw but I have no patience, so this course was perfect for me. I was able to draw something that looked pretty good, if I may say so myself ☺️I don’t want to be perfect but just have a hobby that I could enjoy almost straight away. Amazing Criminology & Profiling, Forensic Science courses!
I really enjoyed taking the Criminology & Profiling and Forensic Science courses. The modules were very informative, not excessively long, and the test were challenging. I now have extra knowledge about these (3) that I’ve always been curious learning more about and the earned certifications will surely enhance my resume even more.
One suggestion, please allow an easy select/deselect touch answer option to avoid wrong selection mishaps resulting in unintentional lower test grades. This happened twice to me.
I had a great experience overall and will surely recommend IOA courses to family and friends and may even try a new course myself in the future! Thanks so much for everything!

I purchased a groupon with them
I purchased a groupon with them. I had a small issue the first time, but they fixed the issue. Upon starting my course with them I can say I was definitely NOT impressed at ALL. First the courses are very basic and not advanced at all. My course was for Food and beverage management. I'm a food service supervisor and took this course thinking that they were going to teach me more about food and beverage MANAGEMENT! Preferably Inventory, PLS, Ordering, financials and everything else related to F&B. Sadly that didn't happen. All the study and exams were basically about catering and what to do if you had a catering company. The course was super easy and litterly had about 7 questions to each so called final exam. To make matters worse they charge you SO much like $70 for a hard copy certificate and around $44 for a digital copy. Now seeing as though I got a groupon for really cheap and courses are about $170 or so without one ,which to me if I'm paying that much for a ridiculous course like this I would expect to get a certificate included in the price. Why would I want to pay $70 dollars for a certificate that i have no idea if it's creditable or not?? To me they REALLY need to redo these courses and make them longer and harder! Make me WORK for it!!I feel as though they are only about the MONEY! They seem to charge you for EVERYTHING! To get a piece of paper that says your enrolled, To get a piece of paper stating that you completed a course, to get a hard copy of your certificate, or a digital copy. I can honestly say that I'm glad I brought a groupon and didn't pay full price for one of these so called courses. Please save your money and find an actual reputable place to get a "REAL" Certificate.

I am not interested in a membership…
I am not interested in a membership with International Open Academy that I was just charged for. The amount is 29.99 euros and it is a service that I don't want nor need. It's abusive to charge a membership fee when the only thing I wanted was the 20 euros TOEFL course, ordered in July 2025. I don't want that course either now and I am expecting the refund, at least for the membership.
