IUBH Campus Studies 

I applied to IU to study Industrial Engineering and Management only to wake up one morning and be told that I had been exmatriculated for not responding to an assignment that even IU was unable to confirm to me how it was sent. A staff said it was via email, another said it was on the CARE platform. Either way, my candidacy was revoked even while IU had not done the due diligence to track down how I missed the message. All efforts to get IU to satisfy itself that it was not that I ignored the instructions did not succeed. I truly feel that I had been set up to be scammed of my funds and time. The feeling that I am taking away from IU is that no one cares; the students' welfare means nothing to the management only the cash does! I will not recommend this University to anyone.

I am really confused whether it's a good university or not.
Trust pilot have 2 iubh pages this one have good reviews other one is bad.

I connected with people on linkdin who are either in final year or last semester they do not say good things about this uni.

One line was common for all that this university only loves money and do nothing for students.

I was very excited earlier to go Germany and start course

Now I am confused since I will be taking loan for this and if everything messed up because of the university I will be in deep trouble.

Ich weiß nicht was die Leute hier für Probleme haben..
ich bin seit einem Jahr bei der iu und bin so froh an dieser Uni zu studieren und nicht an ner anderen.
Man kann es auch nicht mit einer normalen Uni vergleichen, man muss sich eben auf seinen A***** setzen und selbst was dafür tun!!!! Man kann nicht erwarten dass andere die arbeit erledigen!

Wenn man fragen hat muss man sie einfach stellen und nicht wochenlang warten, denn anrufen wird niemand bei einem! Es ist nicht umsonst ein Fernstudium. Man muss es sich selbst einteilen und auch was dafür tun.

Die lernunterlagen sind super, und prüfungsrelevant, wenn man es nicht versteht, dann fragt man andere Studenten, Tutoren oder einfach google. Die können ja schlecht Skripte schreiben die jeder versteht, sonst braucht man für ein Skript ne lkw Ladung an Büchern usw.

Was an den Studiengebühren zu meckern ist versteh ich sowieso nicht, man unterzeichnet einen Vertrag und wenn man ihn nicht liest ist man selbst schuld.

Ich find es eine Frechheit solche Bewertungen abzugeben, genau wegen solchen Bewertungen hab ich viel später angefangen zu studieren.. und genau deswegen auch so spät die Bewertung geschrieben, ich wollte sehen ob es bei mir genauso abläuft wie bei einigen anderen.
Ich bin jedenfalls äußerst zufrieden mit der Uni, auch die Präsenzprüfungen die angeboten werden sind super!!

Since October 2021 I was communicating via WhatsApp,,,I sent my documents from South Africa which costed me R1000,,,I have emails stating that I have been successful,,I have started my assignments,,,just about to submit,,when I received and email stating that I don't qualify at all to study at this university!!
I have turned down 3 other offers from other Universities, that acceptance dates have all lapsed,,
This is an absolute disgrace and so unprofessional.
I have never heard of something like this before,ever!!
To anyone wanting to study at this university,,please be very careful,,I thought I was dealing with the very best here,, cleary I was wrong!!

Spend your hardly earned money somewhere else.
This school is a joke, actually close to be a scam.

Kann die negativen Bewertungen wirklich nicht verstehen. Ich mache gerade meinen B.A. (Vollzeit)An der Iu und werde dort voraussichtlich auch meinen Master machen die Skripte die man zugeschickt bekommt sind immer schnell angekommen (innerhalb Deutschland kostenlos )und haben eine absolut hochwertige Qualität und sind meistens mehr als verständlich geschrieben.Das Skript gibt es außerdem auch in Digital und das Anfordern des gedruckten Skriptes per Post ist optional, habe aber nie drauf verzichtet da ich lieber aus einem Buch lese als auf dem IPad.
Die einzelnen Module werden neben dem Skript durch Podcasts und Präsentations ähnlichen Folien unterstütz (je nach Modul gibt es mehr oder weniger Podcast und Folien, waren aber nie zu wenig ) oft hat man die Wahl zwischen Klausur (online oder Präsenz gibt es immer zur Auswahl, fand die online Prüfungen die über examity laufen bis jetzt aber top ) oder Workbooks. Die Tutoren sind sehr gut zu erreichen und antworten schnell.
In manchen Kursen gibt es virtuelle Sitzungen diese kommen Präsenzveranstaltungen ziemlich nah.
Auch leistet die Iu einen sehr guten Service gegenüber den Studierenden fast täglich kann man sich dort virtuell bei Fragen an das Studierendensekretariät direkt über „my Campus“wenden. Im Zweifel ist die Iu auch telefonisch super zu erreichen. Auch hatte ich keine Einstufungstest etc. Habe aber auch ein Fachabitur mit guten oder Normalen NC weswegen dies alles reibungslos verlief.

Finger weg von dieser Schule!!! Absolut unseriös und unkompetent!!
Ich musste mein - nie angefangenes Studium (!) - direkt nach 2 Wochen aus gesundheitlichen Gründen abbrechen. Durch die endlose Schluderei der Mitarbeiter dieser Schule, wollen sie mir nun Gebühren in Höhe von 8000€ anklagen! Dabei habe ich nie einen Unterricht bei ihnen angefasst, keine einzige Prüfung abgelegt!!
Von Anfang an war das Durcheinander an dieser Uni ein Schreckenszustand! Verträge sind verschwunden, ich habe hunderte Male angerufen und mir wurde gesagt man kümmere sich drum. Nie hat sich jemand gekümmert!
Nie nie wieder!!! Ich bin so froh wenn ich mit diesem Sauladen nichts mehr zu tun habe!!!!

After some deep contemplation... I rate the university 5 stars. I have to say i think my personal biases have contributed a lot to the way that I (and many others) rate this school, but in reality, German education is great, the professors at this school have ALOT of experience, and the school has been getting better and better. I can tell that they are working hard to resolve the previous kinks. Especially during the pandemic, I have to commend them for not skipping a beat, and still being able to provide us with the best possible education and environment to learn.

My previous bad expirience with IUBH had to do with their student office and examination office staff, because they were not responsive to the best standards. However, it is what it is, and I think they have restructured a lot to make things smoother for the students. Overall, I am extremely happy, and graduating soon.

I did master degree here, faculty change every semester, 98 percent of student coming from India! ( which is weird )
I singed contract with international Hochschule Bad Honnef Bonn later they changed it’s name to iubh after my graduation which states on my certificate iubh, now it’s called IU! ( how recruiters will value it?! )
Making a degree like this for example in Malaysia is 100 time cheaper and who knows maybe even worths more!

Do not waste your money if you live in the United States. Trust me; you are better off attending an American university or a distance learning British university like the University of London or even the University of South Africa compared to this school. This school is a big joke.
1.They do not reply to emails.
2. Some of the professors don't speak/understand English. So you have to be ready to study the materials alone. I applied for their engineering track, and I can't imagine studying engineering without the help of a professor who understands basic English. They can eliminate this barrier by insisting that students learn German instead of falsely advertising their degrees as offered in English.
3. They say that you can enroll for 30 days for free, but it's another big scam. You can't access the courses once registered (under the free period), and you would be required to pay fees before you have a look at the modules.
4. Even when you email them requesting to make payments, they take months to get back to you. You can imagine such a school that doesn't reply to queries about making school fees payment. Do you think they'll respond when you have an academic problem?
5. They change their support staff almost every week. You have no adviser or anyone to direct an email to.
6. And oh..their learning system is atrocious—complex, awful, and user-unfriendly. For a school offering degrees in computer science, robotics engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science, you would expect their website and Learning Management System, including instructional delivery, to be on par with the LMS of a standard US 2 year community college. But no...their platform is fundamental and antiquated.

Finally, this school is just another for-profit institution designed to rip off students living in wealthier countries. I would recommend this school only for citizens of developing countries where education is poor as this school would represent an upgrade.
However, If you live in the US and are trying to get a degree from this school, please be careful. The quality and material are below the worse online US school in computer school. You may be in for a run-around, especially if you are studying via the online route.

Secondly, I would recommend studying on-campus as it appears that their online programs are "cash cows" put together for the sole purpose of making money for the university, given that their online program is haphazardly put together.

I've also read some other forums, and it has a bad review. I have called my German friend who emigrated to the States, and he said I should not waste my money after this semester attending this school. Their degrees are not respected in Germany, and it won't be long before employers in the US finally discover that this school is a degree mill.

Finally, be ready to teach yourself everything with no support. I enrolled in school because we often hear that "Germans are efficient" and I expected a better education. My experience so far with this school is beyond horrible. There are many regionally accredited universities in the US (over 99%) better than this school.

Ich wurde zu einem Vorstellungsgespräch eingeladen. Ich habe nochmal extra nachgefragt ob ich unbedingt an diesem einen Datum erscheinen müsste, weil ich da nämlich aus 10stündiger Entfernung umgeziehen sollte (somit also nicht schlafen würde, um dann um 9 Uhr morgens rechtzeitig zu erscheinen). Ich wurde dringlich darum gebeten, obwohl ich dann dort erfuhr, dass es noch weitere Vorstellungstermine in nächster Zukunft gegeben hätte. Auf ein 4-äugiges Vorstellungsgespräch vorbereitet komme ich also da an und treffe eine Runde von 15 Leuten an, die sich im Klassenraum vorstellen. Da kam ich mir ja schon doof vor... Aber dann wurde angekündigt, dass wir gleich im Anschluss einen Aufnahmetest schreiben würden. Nach 10 Stunden Autofahrt, Umzugsstress und keinem Schlaf war das die absolute Krönung. Ich schrieb also diesen Test zu dem ich nie eine Rückmeldung erhielt.

I studied on campus at Bad Honnef. I highly do not recommend this university. The organization only offers good education due to the handful list of experienced and qualified academicians. To deal with the rest of the departments of the university is a nightmare. The staff is either half-baked with the knowledge to tend to student queries and problems or they simply don't care or they are just lazy to be professional. Being an international student myself, this university shattered the outlook on my entire experience of living in Germany. The quality of german efficiency that which is boasted across the globe is nowhere to be seen at IU International University of Applied Sciences. I only hope that in the coming years, this organization finds a stable footing and proves this review wrong in the near future.

Education is first of all free(Zero cost) in Germany and IUBH charges a gigantic amount for all business and management courses, which are offered in English.
The majority of students approximately 95% enrolled are from India, leading to very little diversity, purely a money-based selection process.
After Completion of studies no support for future Job search, their career advisors are useless as their so-called advice never helped me out.
Quality of education on top is not up to the mark, but anyway, Indians will keep enrolling here regardless of the low quality this uni has to offer.
P.s. - I was a student here and 95% of the students from my whole batch couldn't find a job afterward and went back to their states.

Don't waste your time applying here if you are not from the UK or any part of Europe. Their website says International, but when it comes to the Caribbean, they ask you for an exam only one Caribbean country takes, and they do not take the GCSE, which is a British exam.
When I asked them why they do not take this be salesperson/admissions person did not have an answer for me. On top of that, they lie on their website, they say that you only need your high school diploma, but when they email you, they ask for a Secondary School transcript, Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Copy of ID, and CV.
After you submit all of the information, they then ask you for even more things via a call like a CAPE that my country doesn't even participate in.
This place is sketchy and very confusing, and they do not know what they are trying to do or want to do. Please don't waste your time applying to this school.
But mostly, the admissions team is a joke.

I think they're competent based on how they responded to my application and the numerous effort to assist with my scholarship. I think I'm impressed by this.

I was interested in the online MBA offered by IUBH. Initially, they were quick to respond with a study contract and impressive scholarship offer, however, with only one simple document outstanding. When this document was submitted, they did not respond. I tried to call on numerous occasions, being sent in circles. Nobody wanted to assume responsibility for an international application via email or telephone. I have now been waiting about 6 months, and am yet to receive feedback.

Crux-correspondence is shocking.

Hello dear readers , I will compile this review in English so that as many people as possible can have a look at it. I received a message from Google that my review was already read around 7000 times so I decided to edit it - to add to the story and explain further details.
So here we go :
My name is Momtchil Dobrev , I do come from Sofia Bulgaria , I grew up partly in Germany and Switzerland. I know several foreign languages and I have always been an excellent student meaning 1.1-1.3 grades always. I have never expected that such thing happens in my life , especially this kind of attack on me at university and in this part of my life where I am persuading my degree.

I was a student at Iubh Bad Honnef since september 2016 , I was studying International Business Management. I ve done successfully 1,2,3,4 semesters of the Bachelor Program. I have passed all the exams from 1-2 semester , I have done 3 one as well . This is very vital : I didn’t write the exams at third semester not because I haven’t prepared but because this a scheme from IUBH in order to extract more money from you- in order to go on an internship semester you need to have already collected 40 credit points throughout the first 3 semesters. I have passed all my exams in 1st and 2nd semester so I already had above 40 credit points. I ve paid all of the tuition fees. IUBH has a study platform called Care and an email which is provided by the university ending @iubh.de . All of the study materials are on the platform and the email is very important for the study process as well as you receive all of the info and so on on it. Through the system you register as well for the exams. First two semesters I ve done successfully , passed all of the exams and I have visited all of the 3 semester lectures and I registered as before for the exams, I prepared myself 2 weeks for the exams and when I went to the exam room they told me I havent registered yet and after a long begging from my side they didnt allow me to write the exams down - no mercy from their side. That is their aim , the aim is to put you stones in the study so that you need to pay more ( for extra semesters and so on because when you don’t have those 40 credit points till the end of the third one you can’t go on an internship semester and they request from you additional payments / fees ) 4th semester I have done my internship successfully ( I wrote the internship report and I did a presentation in front of my class with Prof. Grömling, he said it was successful and that I have passed ) and I was heading to the 5th semester, it was paid from me as well. I didn’t visit 5th semester due to an injury and I didn’t have much chance to visit all of the lectures. When you have missed a certain amount of lectures you can not register for taking up your exams even if you visit all of the rest of the lectures.

This year 2019 on 15 of February I received an email from the campus director - Margit Ruefner-Bahne her name , by the way she left now 1 week ago very interesting why ?!? where she invites me on 20th of February at 12.00 o clock at her office to speak about my internship. ( it is explicitly written down to speak about your internship ). When I went there on 20th of February in the room I found her , Florian Hummel ( prorector ) and an unknown for me till then professor - David Roberts. Wich a cheeky smiles they ve welcomed me and begged me to sit down, after that they told me that ( today we dont speak about your internship , today we speak about that you re expelled from this university ) and they have given me the document for the transcript of records only for the first two semesters. On the question why I am expelled they didnt say anything, not a single explanation or accusation or anything, not a single word.

I would definitely recommend the university atleast the Berlin campus. The faculty at Berlin campus are amazing.

Studying IHM and overall very satisfied with the university. Size of classes, content, and lectures are excellent. Professional knowledge of professors and a good mixture of theory and praxis prepares very well for the career.
