I found James’s website online as we had been looking for a large canvas for our living room since buying our new house and instantly fell in love with his pictures. It’s was so hard to choose but we went with Borrowdale Autumn II in the largest stretch canvas and it is truly beautiful. James was in contact from initial enquiry to delivery and the service was great. Scafell Glow was purchased out of remembrance for a much loved, dearly missed relative who was a devoted walker and supporter of the Lake District. After his ashes were scattered on Great End we wanted something which we could keep at home as a reminder of his final resting place. The light when this image was taken is so beautiful that when looking at this print and knowing he’s up there, it does feel as though my father in law is keeping watch on his beloved mountains.

Holme Fell and the Herdwick prints were collected along the way for different reasons but equally treasured.

James isn’t just a Lake District photographer, the connection people make with his work is truly special and something he should be very proud of.
