Yes i have been a customer for 30yrs and placed an order online...it was a significant order...the company was happy to take my money and proceeded to send me an email two days later advising my order wont be processed...due to the high value of the order and security risks flagged...so i rang customer service direct and asked what the problem was? in paricular what were the security risks??? Well they just fobbed me off didn't let me get a word in and then thanked me and hung up!! To this day im still out of pocket over $2000 and no communication regarding my email asking for my refund...what really gets me is that im a cancer patient and was really looking forward to getting something warm for winter..i had saved up for the items as i cannot work and now im out of pocket the person that was so rude to me and treated me injust was a gentleman named Andrew in New Zealand customer service!!! Needless to say i t had caused me much stress which is no good for my condition...please give me back my money!!!!

I ordered a $300+ jacket which supposedly arrived but I didn't receive. I have sent multiple emails and been on hold trying to get through to the telephone line for 2 hours before I gave up. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. Still no refund.

The products I ordered vanished in shipping between the warehouse and the store, so they would not give me a refund because i could not return the items! They really expected me to return the items I never received and were lost in transit between two of their locations! Mind Blown! Never Again! My phone calls were hung up on, when online messaging ran out of answers they just disconnected, my emails were not replied too. In the end had to contact my bank to sort it out.

Worst online service ever!! I returned an item for an exchange (costing me $18) it took 6 weeks for it to be processed and then they just said it is out of stock. Its had been in stock for weeks. Appalling service!!!!

THIS IS THE WORST ONLINE SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.
I AM STILL AWAITING THE ORIGINAL PART OF AN ORDER I PLACED ON 9TH APRIL. I HAVE CONTACTED KATHMANDU BY EMAIL AND WEBSITE ENQUIRY ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OVER THE LAST 4 WEEKS (CANNOT CONTACT VIA PHONE) AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY REPLY OR FEEDBACK ABOUT MY ORDER.
I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH KATHMANDU AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ORDERING ONLINE.

Awesome service - I put in an early order birthday present for my daughter for a vest, we received parcel 2 days after, thank you so much for the fast service & communication especially in lockdown, NZ.

As a loyal customer for the past 15 years, I have to say that I am very disappointed that Kathmandu recommends the scam travel insurance company World Nomads. I was scammed following your recommendation.

Most of my outdoor equipment are from Kathmandu which I bought in NZ and also in the UK during my big OE. Unfortunately, some of these items were stolen in Barcelona on 6 Jan 2020. Filed claim with World Nomads and they turned out to be a scam.

An absolute shame that my favourite outdoor goods company recommended scam travel insurance. Kathmandu should do some research before putting your name on the line - read the customer reviews on World Nomads (most of the good reviews are made by people who did not have to make a claim).

An absolute shame.

Bought a water bottle earlier this year and the plastic on the strap has worn down. For a $40 water bottle, it shouldn't happen. When asked for an exchange I was turned away as it's general wear and tear. Apparently you're not supposed to hold it by the strap which is just ridiculous as it's so big you can't hold it with one hand otherwise. Terrible quality product! I've had Typo water bottles that last longer and are half the price!

Terrible website. Been trying for 2 hours to get the checkout to work but it seems Kathmandu doesn't like ad blockers. I was intending to purchase a number of items but because your checkout won't work with ad blockers I have gone elsewhere. Blocking ad blockers on checkout pages is greedy.

Very expensive if bought outside of the sale season

I have owned quite a lot of kathmandu stuff growing up bought recently bought a great backpack for my euro trip (lots of space, has locks and you can cover up the straps so good for flights). Best purchase ever!

I'm disgusted at the level of pathetic customer service received and they're not prepared to do anything to try and assist me with my concerns.

I have purchased merino t-shirt and other travel clothing in store an online. Happy with them all so far...

Well priced and durable outdoor clothing, which suits a casual hiking enthusiast like myself. I can highly recommend the SandOver Men's ngx shoes for comfort on hikes.

Should have no stars at all. I bought a Heli Men's Lightweight Down Jacket from Kathmandu. It has been only one month and when I was sitting in a passenger side of a car and put my hand up in the hand rail, the jacket was ripped near the underarm area. I have four other people sitting in the car and saw that happened. I took it to the store, and was told that was wear and tear. Common on, it has only been one month and I only wore it for a handful times. Obviously it is the quality of the fabric. The service is really bad and I was told by the shop assistant to have the jacket patched for $50. That is the half of the price I had paid for the jacket. Is that for real? Totally disappointed.

I ordered three pairs of hiking shorts and a shirt. These are well made and durable and wash and wear. Light weight and fast drying. They stow in a pack easily. I tend to buy when they have a sale and buy a few pieces to avoid postage. Postage was prompt and within a couple of days. This is a good company.
