From the first day we only had problems with a rented boat Bavaria Cruser 46 "Orsalia" from Kekeris fleet. Alpha tehnician team which is maintaining these boats and which are here in Preveza as part of the Kekeris Yachts were very unwelcomed and not supportive at all. After first sailing our bearing wheel inside of the mast went off and so the mechanism of roll main was out of function. I am a professional Skipper and here in Greece I am working already the 4th season. As a freelancer here I changed 50+ charter companies and Kekeris is one of those which is investing in their boats by unlucky clients money. They dont do the proper maintance and proper checks of the boats. In our example bearing wheel was obviosly on the end of its "lifespan" from very likely long usage cause the boat itself is old and not to mention how many bare boats are rented to the unexperienced people who sails 7 days in the year and said that its not a shocking thing that they worn out parts faster but on the end on somebody will fall the last bill and in this case that were me and my crew accusing us that we by obly one sail opening destroy the rolling mechanism. They charged us 1600e as its nee part cost and they even admit that they installed used one and only one bearing wheel which broken.
Same thing happend with the pasarela....luckily nobody was hurt. All the
way on both sides metal plates weldings cracked from the rust and who know what history of usage on our second day. They even didnt ask did somebody get hurted or at least to apologise for the inconvinience. Instead they accuse us that we were jumping on it and destroy it. We were in Vathy in Ithake moored in port when one peace of many old woods peaces brake under my foot and than I notice that also the metal rails from both sides are cracked. I wrap rope all over the pasarela to make it usable in some way. We also had some issues with alarms on motor while being on cruising rpms of 2000-2200 as they also said that is ok to hold it like that. They didnt concern any danger from mailfunction pasarela and they didnt ask are everybody good. The state of pasarela is a proof goe they maintained boats...the same was with a bearing wheel who is not made from paper and being easy broken from one use. They are saying that a technician team from Athens will do the inspection like its big mistery how this thing happend. All in all this agency invest in boats with clients money and this is not right. They are doing frauds and making all of us fools and sadly we cant do much about. Its like Mafia thing...
Strongly recommending to stay away from KEKERIS Yachts cause its a gamble with your nerves, vacation and your money on the end. My clients loosed too much time with them on not functional boat and also on comming back on land cities where they were fixing damages which later put on our bill. I experienced good companies which just come anf repair with lot of supportive energy on their own cost cause they are aware of parts being worn out by so many years of usage.
Its really unfair that KEKERIS companies is getting away with such crime and still is in the buisness with upcomming new clients.

We just finished our charter with Kekeris Yachts. We have been chartering boats in Greece for quite many years and so far this company was one of the best we used. Check in and out went smoothly, professionally, without any problems. The boat was fully functioning, its age and equipment corresponded with given information. All was perfectly clean, incl. bed linen and covers. At our convenience was a complete manual for everything onboard.
During our cruise broke a cabinet lock, which we reported at the check out, they did not fine us, did not try to blame us.
The only really miner issue was, that there was missing sieve in the coffee maker (bialetti), which might loose the previous crew.
The whole dealing and approach to us from the entire company was very proffessional, correct and helpfull.
Personal note: I had a knee injury early at the day of check out and couldn't move. I just ask where a place to buy crutches could be. The company CO personaly brought me new ones from a pharmacy in about 15 minutes free of any cost just to help! I appriciate this personal approach very much.

Review of Yacht Charter Company - Kekeris Yachts
I rented the Bavaria Cruiser 51 Thalassa, and this was my first experience with Kekeris Yachts. As a long-time yacht captain, I always pay attention to the service and support provided by charter companies. This time, I would like to share my opinion about my experience with Kekeris Yachts.

Positive Experiences
Yacht Preparation: The crew that arrived before me was able to board the yacht and wait for me without any issues. This is a convenient solution that provides comfort and saves time.

Check-in: During check-in, I received a document indicating where each part of the equipment was located on the yacht. This detailed description significantly speeds up and facilitates the yacht's handover process.

Check-out: The check-out process was incredibly fast and efficient. The Kekeris Yachts team diagnosed the entire yacht within 10 minutes, which left a strong impression on me. Their work was quick and precise.

Deposit Settlement: During the deposit settlement, it turned out that the leech of the jib was slightly torn. Together with the Kekeris Yachts manager, we agreed that it was a minor issue likely due to poor material quality rather than user error. The entire deposit was refunded without any issues.

Areas for Improvement
Lack of On-site Office: There is no on-site office, which means that we were not greeted with any welcome gifts or small tokens like cold drinks. This is not a major issue but worth mentioning.
Conclusion
With nearly 20 years of experience in sailing and chartering in Greece and Croatia, I can confidently recommend Kekeris Yachts in Alimos Marina as a reliable partner. Their professionalism, efficiency, and openness to dialogue make chartering with them a true pleasure.

We have bare boat chartered out of Kos twice (40’ cruiser and 46’ cruiser) and had excellent experiences both times. They were straight with us in the bookings, the boats were in perfect working order, we had support available throughout the Dodecanese and staff were all super kind to us. Big winds tested the gear and we came out smiling!

The worst experience one can ever have with a company for their strategy to give more expenses for rental.
First of all , the security introduction and the other important introduction are either overly superficial, ignoring important details or passed over . which leads to mistakes that hasn’t insurance coverage.

The boat hasn’t been taking good care of that some parts of glass and wood are set up to fall in pieces as window and bridge which renewal will coast over 1000 € on costumers bill.

A booking of rental has its secret unwritten expenses so as hidden fine set to pre-announced arrival time is revealed at the last moment.

I was charged 150 € for being late a only half hour even the company was informed about my flight schedule. I was punished by the fine before I even got to the boat.

The guide book they are referring to is much older then the boat which instructions aren’t parallel.

by the stuff is misleading and stressing risking accident which might definitely lead to big expenses.

The last day of rental period is set to morning delivery of the boat which leads to and requires mandatory early delivery. The company calls back a day before the end rental date.

More then one boat is being checked in and out at the same time which causes for lack of introduction which is a risk effect of the deposit directly. I had only 10 minutes at first day , but had to watch him check every cm and part at delivery. He knew exactly where to check as he had hide a week element that should coast me money.

The sails and the lines at the boat doesn't work fully.

Over all a bad experience with the family owned company and their employee Erikkos Kekeris ( Kekeris alpha) and his girlfriend Christina.

They are good at sucking money of costumers.

Friends and I used Kekeris yacht tours for a 6 day sailing tour from Kos. From beginning to end it was a truly horrible experience. We had an awful Armenian skipper he shouted at us and everyone on every dock we met yelling at everyone when the loveliest people were trying to assist us mooring and he was so rude and getting impatient with people

In Essence he totally ruined our trip. He was rude, surly and demanding. BUT that wasn’t the worst of it. The boat was poorly appointed and the cabins were grubby myself and another friend got scabies from the filthy covers on the boat cushions in the cabins although you are given one set of sheets and one towel each (for 6 days) the mattress cushion covers were not washed and smelt of BO and clearly at least my cabin and my friends had been infected. I went on the boat with no skin parasites and have never ever had them before and came back off the boat with them. At first I thought it was sea lice but I was medically diagnosed with body lice!!!
We had to cook all our own meals and buy all of our own food including salt pepper everything and there were hardly any pots and pans and yes we had to provide all of the skippers meals and he boozed loads of our wine and beer! Not once did he even buy himself a sandwich or offer us a single bottle of wine. If we went for dinner when docked he expected to eat with us and drank tons of alcohol at our expense at EVERY meal. Now we are all pretty generous people and we understand that is what the expected from your skipper but why should we be expected to pay for his copious amounts of alcohol. He was also inappropriate and made unwelcome passes at the women on the boat!
When we got back there were huge arguments about money and what was owed the whole experience was an absolute nightmare and ridiculously expensive.
I would never ever choose Kekeris again this was a dream trip.....
Which turned into a Nightmare trip!
Awful company, old boat, way overpriced and dodgy skipper! No way was it the exclusive superb sailing trip we dreamed of! Quite the opposite!

The trip from 3.8.2019 to 10.8.2019 was a great time.

Unfortunately we had to find out after the trip that Kekeris Yachting did not release the deposit of €3000 back. This although we have done an absolutely correct checkout with checkout protocol. Despite a call to Kekeris Yachting and several mails with Kekeris Yachting our deposit of €3000 was not released.

In several mails from Kekeris Yachting we were always assured that they had talked to their bank and it would be due to our bank that we would not get the money back. However, our bank did not receive any information from Kekeris Yachting or their bank upon personal asking of us.

The fact is that we hope to get our money back only after one month after the trip.
So be careful if you pay the deposit at Kekeris Yachting by credit card. It could be that you block the deposit for a whole month from your card for a week of sailing, as it unfortunately happened to us. And until today August 26th we still haven't got the money free.
