Stay Away! Absolutely Appalling Service.
I have proof of multiple emails from Konica Minolta to support everything I’m stating here.
We purchased a KM C12000 PRESS through Repro Imaging and have always had it serviced directly by Konica Minolta — so they know this machine inside out. Before Repro went bust, we experienced countless breakdowns caused by poorly manufactured parts. Eventually, Konica upgraded our machine to the “e” version free of charge by replacing various parts and hardware, but the banding and fuser issues were never resolved.
They also changed the original service contract we agreed to. Engineers who were supposed to arrive within 4 hours routinely showed up 3 days later. After a recent breakdown, Konica offered a small “compensation” — which I have proof of — that was frankly insulting. They even mentioned providing a backup machine, but nothing came of it.
Several suppliers have confirmed that the first version of the C12000 was one of the worst ever made, and many customers had their machines replaced. Unfortunately, we weren’t as lucky — ours just kept breaking down after every repair, often lasting less than 24 hours before failing again.
Now that Repro Imaging has gone bust, Konica Minolta refuses to take over our service contract. Instead of being honest about it, they simply ignore all our calls, emails, and messages.
It’s truly disappointing. For any business considering Konica Minolta — do yourself a favour and stay away.
