All LA Fitness care about is money. They don't value their customers. They're too busy trying keep up with LifeTime Fitness. Staff is definitely rude.

Great first experience the staff are kind and professional and helpful! The gym equipment are great I recommend this location to anyone!

the machines almost all of them stink like dirty clothes after a gym section, i do not know how they can stand it. I canceled with them and joined Crunch fitness. better machines in every way you want them and the best i like about them is that they have the massage chairs after work out.

I've never written a review online in my entire life. I don't really believe in them - I think people who write them have nothing better to do, etc. I AM MAKING AN EXCEPTION TO MY RULE. I hope this review goes viral.

How would you feel if you were changing in the men's room, and right by your locker, was a dirty, eaten BANANA PEEL. Like right in front of your locker where you were going to put your bare ass down to change. Know also this happened one week ago, by the same member, and you asked them not to do it, and they ignored you and did it again anyway.

Ok, now imagine that that same member did it all over again. Their slimy, dirty, banana peel on your bench, where you just came from work, wanted to work out, and not get whatever worm-ridden filth comes from this dirty eaten banana peel.

So then you ask this member to throw it away, they ignore you, and say "everyone eats bananas in this locker room", and refuses to do it.

And then you go to the front desk and ask what the policy is on having GARBAGE where people change, and they look at their co-worker and mockingly "bro-y" say "hey do we have a policy on this?" All the while everyone at the front desk smirking and mocking a customer who doesn't want to sit in scum.

And then you go back with the "manager" (not the real manager, those folks were apologetic and wonderful) to the locker room and they don't ask the member to throw away the slimy scum that is this other member's trash.

And then you ask to speak to the manager and they say:
"BRO do you know how crazy you sound? It's just a banana peel! You can go and sit somewhere else!"

And then when you call member services the "manager" says to the kid at the front desk: "CANCEL HIS MEMBERSHIP!" Twice.

I mean, come on , "bro".

Absolutely disgusting.

The only saving grace is that I called the national member services line and instantly got 4 apologies with people who obviously recognize that no one want to sit their genitalia in someone else' garbage.

Really?

They lie to have you sign up. 3x I was promised a guest pass for multiple weeks and so I re-signed on to an annual membership, and 3X it was denied when I tried to use it. The club also does poor maintance of its saunas and otehr facilities and the parking lots are targets for thieves as many have no security (cameras) in the lots.

I used to go to Esporta. But i got fed up with equipment always broken down (all those employees. Yet no one would check equipment.) Then when they'd be "repaired" in days it'd be broken.
So i went LA Fitness on Canal street in Chicago. I love how all the equipment is maintained. Entering and exiting parking is at times challenging. DUE parking equipment failure(constantly) along with escalators that are not working just about several days of the week all the time.
It never fails. On their busiest days. They never have any sanitation wipes. You'd think in this day and age in places with a huge number of members rotating in and out all day. They'd be considerate?! It's 11am. NOTHING to use. Nothing to wipe off the greasy sweat from equipment getting on your neck, head, hair, elbows.
It's been like this ALL WINTER LONG. I found out it is some type of corporate policy. ONLY one pack per day or something like that. All i know is it's "No Bueno." Needless to say it pretty much ends your planned workout prematurely. Because if you look around. NO ONE IS WIPING DOWN THE EQUIPMENT (with what?!). So unless you desire to have the DNA of a countless number of perspiring others on you, come on in. (JUST BECAUSE IT'S DRY, DOESN'T MEAN IT'S STILL NOT THERE). You'd think they put a sign. (If we're out of wipes, please let the desk know.)
Would it obviously be a bother to them ? All in all. It's a good value to be a member. Just bring your own PPE.

IN THE LA FITNESS CLUB AT 8601 LINCOLN BLVD., WESTCHESTER, CA 90045, TWO WOMEN'S SHOWERS ARE DARK WITH BURNED-OUT LIGHTS. THE HOT WATER IS ONLY WARM. LA FITNESS IS LEGALLY BOUND & OBLIGATED TO MAINTAIN ITS CLUBS FOR PAYING MEMBERS!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at LA Fitness. I signed a personal training contract after being told that my one-year-old child could stay in the training room while my wife and I trained together. Shortly after the 10-day cancellation period passed, this policy was revoked, making it difficult for us to use the services we paid for.

There were repeated delays in receiving basic materials. It took 5 days to get a diet plan and over 15 days to receive our training journal—while other members had theirs stored at the gym, we had to bring ours every time. Because of this delay, our body measurements were never recorded, making the 3-month check-in pointless.

To make things worse, our trainer is only available 2 days per week. If we miss a session, we have no option to reschedule for the rest of the week, making it hard to complete sessions we’ve paid for.

When I requested to cancel, I was ignored. I’ve filed complaints with Consumer Protection Ontario and the BBB. A manager even responded with threatening language. This experience has been incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.

Terrible sanitation and they billed me 3 days before the 1 st of the month, I asked why and they said I had to cancel 5 days BEFORE that date..... What a scam!!! Terribly oversaturated with people and the company is an obvious money grab.... Disappointed and take your $$$ elsewhere!!

LA Fitness staff member Chris at 17138 Autry Pond San Antonio TX is an invaluable member of your team. He helped me to register my gym membership after almost a week of failed attempts. His patience and dedication were on full display.

I sent this email to David Mathews, CEO of L.A. Fitness, got no reply.

I am an LA Fitness member and am very concerned that your gym at 1914 Bundy Drive, West L.A., CA is not taking any action to repair the jacuzzi, which has been in a state of disrepair for a very long time. The jacuzzi temperature is often just lukewarm instead of hot, and some of the jets shoot out cold water. The operations manager has received numerous complaints from many guests. The pool repair team you are using needs to be replaced.

Livonia Michigan LA Fitness on 7 Mile. The soap dispensers in the shower never work. Sauna has been broken since Christmas. Last year It was broken more than it worked. No one can see or hear the blue screen TVs and the locker room they display everything in shades of blue for over 2 yrs. Large social groups, at different times of the day gather in an area and dominate equipment areas and are in general loud and pretty obnoxious. Good maintenance only exist from the older man. When he's there that gym is clean and there is toilet paper and paper towels. The front desk is in constant turnover and it depends who's there as to what you're experience will be if you have any kind of issue. Other than that this place is great LOL

I have been a committed member of LA Fitness for several years and have even referred three family members to join. I have always appreciated the quality of your facilities and services. However, my recent experience at the New Rochelle location was profoundly disappointing and has led me to reconsider my membership.

While enrolling my son, who has special physical needs, I had a distressing encounter with Manny R., the personal training manager. His arrogance and lack of professionalism were completely unacceptable. The way he spoke down to me with a condescending attitude made me feel unwelcome and disrespected as a loyal member. As a result, I ultimately decided against bringing my son to this gym, as I believe every member deserves a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment—especially those with special needs.

LA Fitness is home to many outstanding training managers who prioritize member satisfaction, but no one should endure such treatment.

Libby the cleaning lady is the best ! She does the work for two people. They brought the cleaning lady from tateum Phoenix to work with libby , when libby does the work of 2 by herself ! I can't stand watching Marcella walk around doing nothing. Not right! The spa is always down because of another of guys wearing their underwear for a bathing suit. No shower before! Telling the new manager doesn't work!!

people were so tricky and asa you sign a lot of paper work you will be trapped.

members are too much in all location and always busy with lot of members.

I joined a club very close to my home to enjoy the pool and hot tub. I am a senior citizen and not interested in any other amenities. The pool was closed from time to time and I dealt with it; however back in November both the pool and hot tub closed, as they needed new parts. Well, here it is in January and they are still waiting for parts! I tried using another club further from my home, but that didnt work out. They rent two lanes of three for the British Swimming School. So they collect my membership dollars and collect money from the School for renting the pool, so members like me cannot use it as only one lane was open and there was a line of people trying to use that one lane. I gave the other club another try this week. I went there pool was open, but hot tub broken. They are always repairing something or other. Oh, and the front desk didnt know the hot tub was broken! I was refunded one month's fee, but have not been able to use my club by my house since mid November, and the other club not near my home that I have tried, doesnt work either. When I call the other club, and ask simply when is the British Swim School going to be there so I can plan my visit, they tell me they dont know to call the School myself to find out! The only well trained and customer oriented person at this organization is the GM at my club in Pembroke Pines (John), who communicates very well, and of course cannot do anything about the part coming in. I am beyond frustrated! It is cold this winter in Florida and I basically do not have an indoor pool to swim in, although I pay each month! My suggestion if you join find out how many repairs have been done and how quickly the item has been fixed. For two months, all I hear is that are waiting for parts for the pool and hot tub. They have offered to freeze my membership, but I dont want that, I just want to swim again! I would love to hear from someone in Corporate that may give a damn!

Ft Worth Ridgemar location has been without hot water for two weeks. Rumor is from fellow patrons that manager has it off due to costs not actual natural gas or plumbing.

Pool closed since March. No idea why or when it will reopen.

I canceled my personal training and was told I wouldn't be charged. Then I was charged. Now no one answers me regarding a refund. I have tried talking to my local, a higher up whom the local said had processed it, and regular customer service. NO ONE responds. Almost $500. Gone.
