I paid for a certified translation of my birth certificate and found two major errors: the handwritten year “2000” was misread as “2020,” and “德国” (Germany) was mistranslated as “Denmark.” These are not small typos — they’re basic, fundamental errors that should have been caught with even minimal quality control.

I understand that handwriting can be unclear, but the Chinese characters for Germany and Denmark are completely different. On top of that, when I first reached out for a quote, I clearly stated this was for my own birth certificate — so how would it make any sense that I was born in 2020? That alone should’ve raised a red flag.

Luckily, I’m fluent in both Chinese and English and was able to catch these mistakes before submitting the document anywhere. But many people who pay for certified translations rely on the service being accurate — and this could have caused real problems if I hadn’t double-checked it myself.

After pointing out the mistakes, they did send a corrected version quickly. But they never apologized or took real responsibility. In fact, I sent a second email explaining how disappointed I was that there was still no apology, no acknowledgment of the errors, and no offer of compensation. Their response? They said they were “pleased” with my feedback and that it would help them improve in the future — still no apology or accountability.

I sent a third and final message saying I wasn’t happy with how casually this was being handled, and they never replied. Just left me on read.

Yes, they were fast. But quick turnaround doesn’t mean much when the quality is this careless and the follow-up is this dismissive. For a paid, certified service, I expected a much higher standard — both in accuracy and customer care. I wouldn’t trust Language Reach again, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, especially if you don’t speak/can’t read both languages and can’t double-check their work yourself

Very Competitive pricing and quick turnaround time even during Christmas period. Asked for translation of a Birth Certificate. There was a minor spelling error in the name and it was promptly amended as requested. Document translated and received in less than 24 hours. Would definitely recommend.

Asked for a translation of a single page birth certificate. They made a mistake on my surname, making the translation legally void. I asked for refund or correction, they ignored completely and seem not to care at all. They will be more than happy to take your money, but if they make an elementary mistake with your important documents, good luck. You're on your own.
