I would like to write here my comments on Josie Hicklin, a member who works at Law Stop in Nottingham City.

In recognition of the kindness she has done for us as a family of immigrants.

I sent them an email explaining i need help with appealing the courts decision to evict me as L&Q have lied on gas safety certificate and switched off my gas which is a criminal offence . so I need to apple I filled out there form and called the office twice last week I was told I would get a call back to get an email this morning to say I was not booked in tell us more about the case LIKE WHAT I SAID EVERYTHIMNG in the email
Because I told them the are wasting my time now I am abusive I have 14 days to Appel YES YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME
they don't have a web site this company is a waste of time

Really good I’m pregnant and was facing homelessness the council I was with wasn’t helping me and put me into extremely unsuitable accommodation and refused to move me. I contacted Lawstop and my solicitor was very helpful and was able to deal with my case and contact the local authority on how they were breaking the law with my housing situation as I had rights and a pregnant care leaver. Shortly afterwards I was moved into much more suitable accommodation that can cater to the needs for me and my baby.

Waiting for settlement payment since January. Forced to give 1 star because I can’t give 0.
This organisation really is appalling.
I’ve been waiting for settlement since January, make case has been ongoing since 2021!
Forced to make a complaint but even that hasn’t resolved this ridiculous situation.
They lost forms, “payment will be made Monday”, “payment will be made Tuesday”, “we’re making arrangements to pay you”, “we need to call you to confirm bank details”, the lastest is “we need your number to call you to confirm bank details”. Both of which they have.
Shambolic. I’ve had to go to he legal ombudsman. Avoid at all costs.

I have been seeing Haisheeny Kaur from lawstop for the last year getting help with my housing situation and legal advice related to my landlord, disrepair and eviction. She has been amazing, from the start she has been empathetic to my problems and always communicated clearly and promptly. Without Haisheeny’s attention detail and excellent communication skills I would have never have been able to resolve these problems. I’m very grateful for all that she has done to help me.

2021!!! This solicitor has been dealing with my case for 3 years!
The majority of that time has been spent waiting around.
I’m now just waiting for my settlement payment. Since January I’ve been waiting.
I’ve been ignored and sent round in circles trying to chase the billing department. Absolutely ridiculous.
I’ve had to lodge a complaint but that hasn’t even gotten me anywhere. They have 8 weeks to respond (currently on week 7). Why this is so difficult and complicated for them god knows. So stressful. I would avoid this firm at all costs.

This is one of the most useless companies I’ve come across as they take cases and don’t respond to clients or even give you updates on your application. When you call they don’t respond and you have to be chasing them even though you’re paying them. I’ve dealt with other solicitors in the past and I’ve never come across a lackadaisical firm like this one. They shouldn’t even exist as they are full of liars and don’t show any interest in your case. If I’ve time I’d write more as it’s so frustrating that such companies like this still exist.

Haisheeny Kaur helped me a lot in my business. She patiently explained everything to me and promptly answered all my questions.

I had Athar Tahir on my case and I must say that his assistance was invaluable. From the beginning, he provided expert guidance. I work with many solicitors and Charlotte has been superb. Her communication is top notch and her advice is always helpful and precise. She is also extremely approachable for some extremely vulnerable clients.

Lawstop liaised with the DWP on my behalf and kept going back until the matter was resolved, in my favour.

Lawstop Solicitors trying to cover up which they provided me a very poor service in this regard. Three members of staff members left Lawstop Solicitors during the last 9 months between July 2022, and early April 2023 as an example due to very poor service in my experience as a former client.

E Baptiste you should make a complaint with the Ministry Of Justice, the Legal Aid Agency Counter Fraud and Investigations and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. If you can manage to speak with the DIRECTOR unfortunately she is nowhere to be seen, I called several times asking for her and she NEVER returned my calls and NO ONE can say where she is based. I hope this legal aid firm is not another Blavo & Co Solicitors.

My solicitor or case worker( Haisheeny Kaur) is very helpful, supportive, find quick solutions to my problems and I wish her the best in her career and more success and blessings.

Thank you to lovely and helpful Hannah Bradburn, who handled my case without delay from the day I spoke to her and made sure the council met its obligation by offering me main housing duty and temporary accommodation.

After battling the council for nearly 18 months on my own regarding my homelessness. I decided to get a legal aid housing lawyer to help me fight my homelessness issue with the council. Having lost faith that I would ever be housed, I was finally offered a place to live by the council after a series of letters and a review request sent by Hannah Bradburn.

I also want to express my sincere gratitude to helpful Bruna Geada for referring my case to their Brighton branch and got Hannah to take up my case.
