We've recently used Britannia to move from our home in Chester to Alicante, Spain and generally, the experience has been fine. All the initial paperwork and collection was great and once our shipped belongings finally arrived, Steven (the delivery driver) was absolutely amazing in helping us unload everything and bring it up to our first floor apartment. We genuinely couldn't recommend Steven highly enough, he was great. The only reason this is a 4 Star review and not a 5 Star one is that the delivery date for our belongings to arrive got pushed back / delayed 4 times and took nearly 3 months to finally arrive from the UK collection date in September. This meant that unfortunately, we were put to additional expense having to purchase certain things (bedding) as the warm weather gave way to chillier mornings and evenings. While we acknowledge ours was a part-load and that the delays were not down to Britannia directly (we were told other part-loads in the chain kept being delayed), there's seemingly no mechanism or facility to ensure delivery on a smaller van once there's been a couple of delays. I would respectfully suggest that this is something the company might want to look at for future part-loads that experience delays, in order to ensure people who are paying quite a serious chunk of money to get their stuff shipped abroad receive their belongings within a reasonable time frame. Having said this, we have our stuff now and generally, other than the delays, our experience was, overall, a positive one.

I would hundred percent recommend using this company again, and I would use them if I’m moving in the future.

The chaps doing the actual moves were extremely good. Unfortunately the same can't be said for administration. I would advise anyone contemplating using Leatherbarrows to ensure they get anything agreed clearly confirmed in writing.

Super team, nothing was too much trouble. My property went into storage for 4 weeks before delivery to new address, no damage, everything arrived at new home safely. Would use again.

We've used Britania with military moves for 20 years and they've always been amazing. It absolutely made sence to use them for our move back to civi street. Everyone was amazing, kind,hard working and when we move again in a couple of years we will still use them ,even beyond the Army .Thankyou everyone, you are fantastic xx

Conell and Tony arrived ahead of schedule and completed the move (from Berkshire to Northumberland) with great efficiency and care including the transportation of a number of large and delicate houseplants.

From start to finish, Leatherbarrows have been brilliant. I originally contacted them two weeks before my move, having been let down by two other removal companies due to their no booking prior to exchanging policy. David was incredibly helpful on the phone. Not only did he assure me that there was still availability, but he arranged to come round the next day to provide a quote a confirm the order. He also helped answer any questions I had later via email. This company seems to be one of the very few that allow you to book prior to exchanging, so very good to know about in the future.

On moving day, Tony and Conell were fantastic. This is the first time I’ve had to move on my own and, after only 2 hours sleep, I was feeling quite nervous before they arrived. With their calm and capable attitude paired with a great sense of humour, Tony and Conell made me feel at ease straight away. They were super conscientious about where they parked, even checking with my neighbour that she could move her car if she needed to. They also kept me updated with their progress with the removal throughout the morning.

At the new house, they used a lot of skill and patience to get my piano through a very tight hall and doorway. They were very efficient and even helped me read the meter readings. They were also great with my son who arrived from school looking a bit shell-shocked!

Overall, I would not hesitate to use Leatherbarrows again and would definitely recommend them.

Nothing is too much to ask. We did a huge move from South of England to North Scotland and these guys were amazing. They took all of the stress out of it and could not have been anymore accommodating. Tony and Conell are an absolute credit to this company.

We were very pleased and impressed with the level of service we received from Brittania Leatherbarrows, when we packed up our home in Spain and moved to Suffolk in the UK. They were responsible for collecting our goods in Spain and delivering it all to Suffolk, and everything went exceedingly well. Steven and Chris were the 2 professionals who handled our move here in the UK and they were very efficient, careful, hardworking and trustworthy. And very nice they were too. We highly recommend Brittania Leathbarrows for moving and storage facilities.

Neil and Chris were very professional and friendly. Communication was maintained throughout and our move was made seamless and effortless.

We used Britannia last month to move from a storage unit in Dorset to our new home in Lancashire. We were very impressed with the crew - Neil James and another guy, a young chap who was not only super strong but incredibly polite. After a really terrible experience with a Britannia-affiliated company in Scotland, the Leatherbarrow crew really restored our faith in Britannia, which we had used before and had been very happy with.

Overall, efficient delivery, polite and respectful crew and actually a lower price than other removers had quoted us.

We have just had the first part of our belongings returned out of storage. Neil asked Chris where superb. They arrived in time, extremely courteous and very patient with us as we are still living in a part building site!! Could not have been more helpful and supportive of our circumstances. Everything handled with care and respect. However, must say we have found all the people we have dealt with - the guys who came and packed up or home in the first place and those in the office - have been very good. Cannot recommend them enough. Just one more step to go to have all our home back together. Thank you all.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. My move was accomplished with efficiency care and concern for me as the customer.
I had Neil Chris and Sammy and anyone moving house will be exceedingly lucky to get these three” super movers”who made what is a very emotional time so easy with their cheerful and helpful personalities. They went above and beyond and were great. A credit to their Company.

Had a completely flawlessly move with Conell & Tony. Both were professional and courteous throughout. Offered up helpful advise for eg not starting the fridge straight away in the house to prevent damage.
Carpets were layed down to prevent mess .
