Purchase confirmation.

I wanted to check on confirmation of an event entry / purchase, after I had made a mistake with my email address.
The support team were very helpful and sorted it out very quickly.

Erroneous booking corrected!

I made an error on a booking (incorrect details) but within a couple of emails Frankie identified the issue and sent the corrected booking details on to me - very relieved and grateful that it was sorted so quickly- thank you!

Completely disregards privacy laws

Signed me up for an email list I didn't ask for. I tried using the unsubscribe link three times, but they kept emailing me. When I reached out to support, I got a canned AI response empathizing with my inability to unsubscribe. Then a CS agent had the nerve to say the emails I got (trying to get me to finish signing up for the race) weren't marketing.

After double-checking, we can confirm that the email you received was a transactional 'abandoned cart' message rather than a marketing email. These types of emails are sent when an email address is entered into a booking form upon registering for an event and are permitted as part of the service process. This is because they relate directly to the completion of a registration or booking and are therefore not promotional content.

I can also see that our CEO responded to your email prior to this review, confirming these are legitimate emails but that he has asked our team to explore options that would allow users to opt out of these transactional reminders in the future. In the meantime, we will manually ensure that you no longer receive any further communications from us.

London marathon entry

I was directed to this company due to an issue with London marathon entry. It takes multiple messages to get past AI then eventually when I person responds they told me they couldn't help.

We can see that you reached out to us three times regarding your London Marathon Good for Age application. Each time, after two interactions with our AI assistant, a member of our team responded and provided the same guidance to help resolve your query.

Both our AI agent and our team explained that, as the issue relates directly to the event’s application process, you would need to contact the marathon organisers to review your application. We appreciate this may not have been the answer you were hoping for, but as the organisers manage all eligibility and entry decisions, they are best placed to assist.

Update: Saw your message. Just sent an email. Thanks, hopefully it gets fixed.
FYI, I said the Ai answered my question because it told me someone would be contacting me. But no one ever did. Maybe don’t use Ai.

Slow website

Tried to register for a 5K but the website was really slow and twice was so slow that it made a loading page error. It kept freezing every time you move to a new section to fill. Closed in my face and then had to refill everything. It took an hour to be able to register for the run and almost gave up and not register because of the website.

Slow customer service

I have asked twice to have a race entry deleted (as you are not trusted to do this yourself…) from my profile and keep getting assurances it will be done and 9 days later it still hasn’t been completed.
Really is a poor response from customer service on a very poor app.

We've had a look at your email and can see that we replied within 9 hours of receiving it. We aim to get back to all enquiries within 24 hours of receiving them so we feel, on this occasion, this has been a fair response time.

Whilst we don’t operate a phone line, we are able to resolve all enquiries quickly and effectively via email, our chat service or through our Help Centre.

Your confirmation email and receipt were sent to the email address used at the time of your booking and, to be sure, we’ve also resent these to you and the other people on your booking.

Reasonable Website, Slight glitch when registering

The website seems to cover everything you need for managing event registrations. I found the website was a bit slow, and when I created an account to register for an event I was sent an email with a verification code in it. Viewing the email in Microsoft Outlook the verification code part was badly formatted so that I could only read the first 2 digits and the top half of the second 2 digits. I actually viewed the source code of the email to find the whole verification code! Hopefully their tech team can sort that out so that other people don't have the same issue.
