The Little Hay Company Reviews 

Very poor customer service when dealing with regular customers, who have issues with wrong orders and not getting the hay sometimes at all. In my experience, this has happened too many times, with little attention from the people who run this company. It used to be very good, but they have gone down terribly in the past several months.
The hay however is excellent, so i keep buying from Little Hay company, as my ailing bunny will only eat the Cotswald sweet but have had several issues in being sent wrong orders.This week on not getting the order i paid for again , i emailed them, and i got a reply saying they wanted evidence of what was delivered , photo proof., a very indifferent message that was not even signed off with a name...As a regular customer who has had issues before with them. i would expect better dealings with staff. i went to the trouble of sending photos and further explanitary mails and i never got a reply. I waited for a return email and didn't get one, so we rang, they admitted they sent the wrong order, but were very off hand no apology by mail or otherwise, after asking for photos etc! I have more to do than keep chasing orders that are sent wrongly !. It's common courtesy to acknowledge customers in a good manner. If it wasn't for the hay, i would not buy from this company.

We have been long time customers, and in recent years have experienced Meadow hay being consistently sent to us instead of Timothy which is what we ordered.

The first time this happened we got an apology, some Timothy sent to us and a voucher. It was appreciated, and we were told it was simply a mistake.

However - this has happened again - we subscribed to Timothy, we got Meadow. No notices, no asking for permission to switch. It almost felt as if they are hoping that we wouldn't notice.

This is truly appalling and we can no longer trust them - if I were you I wouldn't either.

Hay was full of dust, nothing more really to say.

Hay steams is so big.. suitable for cows maybe. My rabbit haven't touched it

I ordered hay from this company for a couple of years but have had to go elsewhere, unfortunately service has got worse. Delivery is no longer quick like it used to be, it takes 3-4 days instead of the 1-2 days it used to take and is no longer reliable. I didn't even get my last order, although i did manage to get a refund. The quality of hay has also massively declined. I've decided to take my business elsewhere, which is a shame.

If I could give The Little Hay Company 10 stars, I absolutely would!
From the very first order, I've been impressed by the fantastic quality, fast delivery, and great prices. My rabbits and chinchillas absolutely love their sweet hay, and I've never had a single issue with any of the products I've purchased.
I first discovered The Little Hay Company after picking up a sample at a rabbit festival, and I've been buying from them ever since. The quality was so much better than anything I'd tried before that it quickly became a staple for my pets.
In fact, my animals are now so spoiled that they practically turn their noses up at other hay if it isn't from The Little Hay Company! That's probably the best endorsement I can give.
I recommend them to all of my bunny friends whenever I get the chance. Brilliant products, excellent service, and consistently high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any rabbit, guinea pig, or chinchilla owner.

Declining quality of both service and bay. I have been ordring from here for 3 years. In the last year you are no forced to pay 5 pound for 1-2 day delivery, it never is 1-2 days more like 3-4 but still forced to pay 5 extra pound for no faster delivery. Every delivery is also wrong, if i order treats they're left out from the order and i have to chase every order. Most recently i ordered 2 x timothy bales ajd have just opened the parcel to find 2 x meadow hay bales. So i have paid more money for timothy and gotten meadow instead. I'm sick of chasing every order up for a mistake, I am no longer ordering from this company.

I think I did.

I received my order partially open and contacted your company by email, but I have yet to receive a response despite it being over a week. Given the generally positive reviews, this lack of communication is disappointing. I would appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter.

I'm so pleased to have recently found Little Hay Co, and my bunny has been really enjoying the Cotswold sweet classic. Delivery is amazing with a very quick service from DPD. Customer service is excellent too. My rabbit is poorly at present, and there was a bit of a mix up with an order. They dealt with the problem promptly and with thought and kindness. Thank you

I have ordered 2x box of 10kg Cotswold Sweet Hay before and the hay was great! This time I ordered one 10kg box of the Cotswold Sweet ( one bunny gone to bunny heaven) and also a box of 500g Plantain Leaves. I only received the box of hay. No sign of the plantain leaves. The box of hay was terrible quality. I know they had a terrible harvest last year. I emailed twice telling them I have not received the box of plantain leaves. No reply. I have called the number on the website. Straight to voicemail I a left voicemail. it’s now been over a week and still no plantain leaves.

The Cotswold Sweet soft cut is usually very nice, but the latest 2 kg box of it is disappointing. It is much longer than usual with quite thick stems, which could, and have, caused an eye poke injury. It also looks quite dusty. Unfortunately I'm not sure I will buy any more of it, which is a shame as it was good.

I’m genuinely gutted as my rabbits love this hay. The hay is great although the company struggle to effectively extract the hay of dust and bugs. I’ve noticed a decline in the quality over the past 6 months to the point that one of my rabbits sneezes often due to the amount of dust, however I continued to purchase as my buns seemed to eat more of this hay compared to other brands. I recently received a box infested with bugs, which meant I had to deep clean my house and throw out an entire box of 10kg hay. When I emailed the company, I requested a refund or replacement and all I received was a ‘thanks for letting us know’ and then the team have ignored my emails since. After spending over £800 with Little Hay Co, I’m disgusted with their lack of customer service and will be sourcing my hay elsewhere.

I cannot fault this company! I ran into a few issues with delivery (entirely my fault as I'd entered the wrong postcode!) and they literally went above and beyond to help rectify the issue as soon as possible, communicating daily until the shipment arrived and remaining impeccably patient and polite throughout - even though I'd messed up! Not only was the customer service exceptional, but the hay itself was first-class (and just-cut fresh). Long and green and bunnies absolutely LOVED it! Thanks for all your help, I will be ordering monthly now :-)
