Truly innovative and game changing solution.
Great platform. No one else in the industry is doing the kinds of stuff they’re doing. Building a bot is tricky but they help you build it or they build it for you completely. Being in the retail industry, they’ve helped me scale sales related questions to help convert sales faster. In the past someone would email a question and we would reply next day, potentially giving an entire day for the user to find an alternative. Now we help right when and where they need help to close the deal faster.
Awful Customer Service!! No transparent pricing!!
We were a loyal customer for years. Our liveperson stopped working for two months because of an image issue in their backend - we were not notified. When we finally got it to work again, it would only work on and off. I was unable to reach a customer service rep on the phone no matter ow much I asked They refuse to call you. They will only let you live chat or email. I finally spoke with our "Customer Success Manager" about the issue and she refused to credit us for the two months and said she is going to almost triple our rate! Their pricing is already higher than all the plans on the market and they do not have any pricing transparency.
Our Customer Success Manager asked why we were leaving (after we had gone back and forth for a week). I wrote the same thing as above and she said "Great. Your account will be cancelled in a month."
Awful service. I don't know how they are still in business. Stay away!!
Worst company I have ever dealt with
If it was possible, I would give the company a 0 star. For a company that does live chat, it is impossible to reach a live support person. After using them for two years, we decided to cancel our account. It took us two days chatting with the chat bot to finally reach a person to cancel account. Even then, that is just a request to an account manager. The account manager responded that we are on a yearly plan though making monthly payment, and that we have to give at least a 30 day notice. So our plan had renewed for another year just weeks ago. There is no indication under account manager whether our plan is monthly or yearly. I would NOT recommend anyone to use LivePerson. Very shady company.
Terrible service
Terrible service. I was conned into signing up for their trial while I investigated their offerings with them and then trapped into a 12 month contract which I can’t use as the product doesn’t do what was promised. No recourse or escalation. Just a shoddy company which was so surprising.
Their operators are completely awful
Both of my companies were on LivePerson for nearly 3 weeks. In that time, they created more upset customers than simply not answering any messages at all would likely have done.
Several times I worked to correct their operators from stating erroneous claims to customers about things as simple as what services our company does and does not perform but they could not even get that corrected.
They failed to answer hundreds of customers messages and they even failed to send over leads they generated after obtaining contact information and telling the customers we would get in touch.
Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company - no support no replies.. Waste of time. Wouldn't even try working with them, stay away. Cant get anything setup up apart from webchat which you can get fro free from anywhere. Stay away.

This company is a total scam. The service is not what they promise. There is not support AT ALL!!... They charge way more of what you agreed. They make you sign a 12 month contract with automatic renewal and it is IMPOSSIBLE to communicate with them in order to cancel the contract, therefor they keep renewing and invoicing you. Please be AWARE ... DO NOT USE THEM.... YOU WILL REGRET IT...
Don't ever sign up with this company
Don't ever sign up with this company, once you signup they will do everything possible not to let you cancel your subscription. they sill not accept cancellation over the phone you will need to submit via Live Chat, Read their Term and Condition.
Tedious Customer Experience and Hidden Fees
Aside from having a very unmodern and difficult to use platform, LivePerson provides a poor customer support experience. I frequently had trouble getting access to my own account, for which I had to get on a chat session multiple times to get the technical issue resolved. Making changes inside was difficult and required chat support most of the time to accomplish anything. I cancelled my agreement after finding out we were being charged additional fees for engagements with content on our own site, adding up to a substantial percentage of our usual monthly fee. 30 days to process the cancellation so I'll be paying an extra month while I wait. Would not recommend, there are lower cost and more modern solutions without the fees out there.
Absolutely horrible customer service
Absolutely horrible customer service. I wouldn't even call it customer service. Better to say customer NON-serivce. I've used these guys a few times over the years and their product was really good but trying to work with them now is like pulling teeth! They give you the run around, can't answer your questions, say no sales manager will help me, won't give me a phone number, the phone numbers I found online have some weird foreign voice message then it hangs up. Supposedly someone was going to call me back "shortly" and they wouldn't define what shortly meant and it's been days and zero call back! I just don't understand how they stay in business like this. And now seeing all these other horrible reviews confirms what I thought about them too. Why run your business like this?
ZERO for Live Person!
We were with LivePerson for many several years and decided not to use them in January of 2017. After calling them and asking to cancel our account, they said that we could not cancel for ninety days. This is their policy if you can believe that. We agreed to keep going without a fight and took their product off our website in April of 2017. We realized that they were still billing us in August of 2017 and demanded the charges to be reversed and to stop billing us. We were once again told that we must wait ninety days to cancel our account.
It is now September of 2017 and we're still being billed $45 a month. This amount is more than their advertised amount on their website. We have gone around and around with them and today we've officially filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and our credit card company has reversed the fees. If this happens to you, be sure to reach out to your credit card company and help put a stop to this!!
Shame on you Live Person for trapping people into a monthly service if they no longer wish to use you. Shame on you for having hostage policies in place that steal from the pockets of hard working companies. You should be ashamed of yourself for making it difficult for people to leave you.

Untrustworthy and Unhelpful
When I contacted LivePerson today to request that they close our account, they told me they had a 90-day cancellation policy. My agency has used them for various clients for over 8 years and I've never heard of this. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he was in a meeting. When I asked for the email address or phone number of someone I could speak to about their cancellation policy, I was told they don't give out personal information. When I asked who handled customer satisfaction, they disconnected our chat session. I then forwarded the support team my chat transcription, hoping the sales support I reached wasn't typical of their service. It's been almost 24 hours and I haven't even received an auto-reply that they've received my request. Buyer beware. Today, there are hundreds of live chat services. Many of them do what LivePerson does for a fraction of the cost.
LivePerson is great, SwayChat is better for the same cost
I love LivePerson, and it did a lot for our business. But we switched to SwayChat and haven't looked back. It has a far more modern design, doesn't damage our Google Pagespeed score, and it's 25% the cost (or less!) of LivePerson.
6 year customer but still stuck paying $300 in cancellation fees?
Wow..90 day cancellation fee! our code does not even work on our website anymore and we are still stuck paying....
"I apologize but this procedure is standardized for all accounts. I am not able to cancel your account immediately. 90-day cancellation notice, please know that your account will remain active for the next 90 days."
That was the nice message i got from my liveperson account manager

Honestly SHOCKINGLY BAD!
This company is full of absolute cowboys.
So I spent over an hour trying to get the price to use their chat software through their only way of communicating with them which is not surprisingly live chat.
They would not give me any indication of pricing at all. They arrange a demo with me at 11am UK time. I made it so clear, UK time which they agreed.
So 11.05 UK time and I get on their chat again finding out where this demo is. To be sold oh no sir the agent meant New York time. Then PROMISED the first person to come in will give me a demo due to the mix up.
So... hours go by waiting at the office for this demo. I contact them again to see what is going on and why nobody has contacted me.
Then I am told the person who was going to give me has a full schedule which does not include me so I have to wait until MONDAY! 3 days!
Fuming to say the least. Wasted so much of my time. This company is an absolute joke. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Hidden 90 day cancellation policy!
We tried to cancel after finding no link or administration area to do this after logging in. Only way to cancel is via chat - and you are locked in for 3 months. They will still bill you for 90 days after putting in your cancellation request. Stay far away!!! What a scam.

If you are running any website do not use live person. The absolute worst customer service. I tried to cancel my account for 6 months still nothing. And they dont even pick up their phone calls. For your own sake dont end up like the rest of us complaining.
If zero was an option - I would rate LivePerson a zero
Simply the worst customer service that I have experienced from a web based company....EVER! Nearly impossible account management portal. And, surprise, the account cancellation page "doesn't work".
Avoid at all costs. There are better providers at a lower cost with FAR superior customer service than LivePerson!
They got 1 star because there is not an option for zero stars
Liveperson is one of the worst companies on the planet. They SUCK on all fronts. They don't care about their customers. They force you to chat and have no phone numbers that get answered. They double and triple charge credit cards and then refuse to refund the money saying they will give you a discount next month. This is how they get free financing for their business. When I called the accounting dept, the voicemail box was full and I was promptly disconnected. If you do have an online chat, they keep passing you around to different departments and each one forces you to explain why you are contacting them. Are they so stupid that they can read above or are they just lazy. It also seems that they can't communicate properly in American English language. Truly a disgusting company that does not deserve anyone's business.
