I first came across Mama Shack last year and have since ordered multiple things for my son and his nursery. The designs are beautiful, quality is superb and delivery is super quick; genuinely the quickest turnaround I’ve come across after Amazon prime! Will continue to shop here as my boy grows.

Purchased a changing mat from Mama…
Purchased a changing mat from Mama Shack along with other items. Sadly the changing mat has proved to be very low quality which is very disappointing considering it is twice the price of most out there. Do not get sucked into the pretty patterns as I did.
9 months on and the mat has holes in the material so is not fit for use as obviously could harbour bacteria.
I emailed the customer services team who responded "as baby grows, along with frequent use of the mat it can be subjected to wear and tear" I wouldn't mind but it is used maybe twice a day by a 20lb baby....!

Still not received purchase
Made an order on the 19th May. Confirmation email states delivery is 1-2 working days but their website states it may take 3 which would have been fine. 12 days later and I have still not received my parcel. I had to chase them for this for them to say they will look into this with no idea of a timescale for a response and I have still not heard from anyone regarding where my parcel is. I understand this is a small business however I would expect when orders have gone missing or when people have been waiting for this length of time that these issues would be pushed to priority.

Prints are beautiful !!!
The prints are so beautiful, I was really impressed with the quality too. I received my goods quickly so will definitely be telling my friends to shop here! I also loved the little bags everything is packed in, was a nice touch.

Changing mat and towel are perfect quality!
Purchased the banana leaf anti roll and hooded towel to match. Amazing quality and will be making sure I look after these for a long time! Delivery was a bit delayed but customer service explained and were lovely.
Makes me broody to gave another one as there products are amazing!

Expensive low quality changing mat
Bought a baby change mat firstly the wrong design arrived, I had to arrange and pay for the return and then once returned still and to chase the replacement correct design being sent out.
6 months down the line and the mat is unusable as it's damaged, the covering has ripped and the foam exposed. When I contacted customer services about this they advised there was nothing for them to do.
Overly expensive product. Just paying for the lovely design.

Firstly I would like to apologise again for the mistake with your order. Thank you for your kind words on the design! I am glad you were pleased with it.
I can see you placed your order with us last year in August 2020. We are a small business so all orders are packed by me or my sister in law. I can see that I actually packed this order for you and the mistake was made due to human error. We all make mistakes but as a valuable customer I am sorry I let you down. You will be pleased to know that since last year we now have an automated packing barcode system with a 99.99% accuracy rate!
Reading back through the emails, we dealt with this swiftly and empathetically. We never make customers pay for the return of goods that have been sent out in error. You were refunded in full for the cost of delivery and I find this comment a little unfair as it is false. At the time when you ordered we were not able to setup prepaid labels. Mama Shack is a young, self funded business and we are always looking for new ways to improve customer experience and improve our operational performance. We now have a system in place where we can prepay for labels so as not to cause inconvenience to customers when we have made the mistake.

Splash Mat is Useless
I purchased a splash mat and used it once and it stained upon first use. When I contacted support they directed me to their FAQ page outlining that their splash mats do stain. What a useless product and terrible customer service. I won't purchase anything from mama shack again.

Our splash mats are not advertised as a stain resistant product, they are wipe clean and are designed to protect your flooring and furniture from mess and stains that can occur during messy play and weaning. If food containing strong colours (curry's/tomato pastes) are left to soil this may stain the product. We directed you to our FAQ's to help advise on best practice to clean the red stain in your photo.
I can see you have since placed another order with us which all looks to have ran smoothly so I am glad you have had a more positive experience with us.

Poor quality product and customer services support
I purchased a cotbed sheet from mamashack and the dye from the pattern bled into the base fabric after it got damp (nappy leak) so much so the pattern has completely smudged on one area. I contacted the customer services team and they advised that it’s not a manufacturing error even their technical team haven’t inspected the item which would be normal practice for a faulty product. They’ve been really unhelpful and disinterested and despite raising my concerns about the safety of this product for infants they didn’t respond. It really has put me off purchasing further items from this brand which is a shame as I love to support smaller independent businesses.

Thank you for shopping with our business and shopping independent. As a team of 3 we are always grateful for every order and treat customers with the upmost respect.
As a small business we do not have a technical team as such but my background is in garment product management where I held some of those responsibilities for 13 years. I only work with factories that can provide proper certifications for our products as safety is of the upmost importance. My own children use our products daily. In the case of our muslin cot sheets, these are tested for print migration and colour fastness. They are GOTS certified which means they are not treated with bleach, formaldehyde or any other toxic substances. We use one of the safest print methods which is digital printing. It is a non toxic print and baby safe. As with any of our products, on the rare occasion a fault has been found we always consult with our manufacturing partners.
My understanding is that the cot sheet was purchased nearly a year ago, arrived without fault and has been washed. If in the unusual event there were faults with the product, these would have become apparent when washed. Our fabric is printed on a roll and then cut and sewn to make the product. We have had no other reports from customers over the course of the year of this nature that indicates this production batch is faulty.
I've looked at the conversation you had with my colleague and can see they have responded quickly and professionally. The last email was sent by myself with a solution but have not had a response. Annoyingly emails can go to junk so hopefully it can be found there.
We try our best to find a fair resolution to resolve our customers satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything further I can do to help.

Ordered two changing mats for my…
Ordered two changing mats for my silvercross changing table. I couldn’t find any others in the right dimensions! Unfortunately loads of the designs were out of stock so I signed up for updates when they were back. As soon as they came back in stock I ordered and they were delivered within 5 days. They are such beautiful designs and lovely quality. Very pleased they are also made in the UK. Would definitely recommend
