We just returned the Car. I will Write What We got there - very positive Are the guys Kevin and nikhil, The Company Can be Glad to have such guys. Negative Are Ashvin and Adarsh. We Never in This world were spoken Like that - unfriendly, unhelpful and outrageous.

We rentet the Car, we booked a bigger but ok, can happen. The Swift was ok. First time the Car stopped Working was the 19th November in Morning of our 14th rental day , i Wrote the Company to notice. A guy helped us and startet to Go to new Location. At 22nd it wasnt working again, i called to Change the Car and one guy ardash called me back - he wont help us he told in a very outrageous way, the staff of Mariposa Which heard the Call were shocked how he was Talking to Clients.
Another guy was coming Then After caliing the Agency and Would give us Car, in This 2,5 Hours pur papers or Car were Stolen so he changed Battery and didnt give us the Car.
At 24 th in Morning the Car didnt start again, Ashvin was Coming and Change the Car and took 100 Euro for new papers. So we Are guests and dont know it better. As returning the Car we had to wait 30 minutes - Then Ashvin want 10 Euro for Cleaning Car, we were Not on Beach in These 2 days and i didnt give him, he always wants Money Seems Like. One Partner Left a Speed loading Cable for us in that Agency - Bit Ashvin didnt give us and help us and send us to Airport… We called Kevin Who Took Cable and he organized with nikhil to bring the Cable - we were already After pass Control but we found a way. Thats Really nice of Both, we can recommend These 2 guys heartly for This Company

I had a really smooth experience with this car rental company. There were no hidden charges at all — no cleaning fee, no shuttle fee, nothing extra. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the other reviews, but everything went exactly as stated.

When we arrived, an agent met us right outside, and we only had to wait about five minutes for the shuttle. We had booked directly through their website, paid in advance, and chose the full protection insurance at the time of booking.

The only downside was the drop-off process. Our return was outside their normal working hours, and although we were told someone would always be at the office, that wasn’t the case. They only come at the agreed time — actually a bit later — so make sure to plan ahead and arrive well before your flight.

Also, when dropping off the car, do not use the address from Google Maps — it will send you to the other side of the island. Instead, just scan the QR code on the rental contract for the correct drop-off location.

Overall, it was a good experience with transparent pricing and straightforward service, just be cautious with your timing and directions for the drop-off.

Car booked via discoverycars, very cheap. We were pickles up 200m from the arrival, there is a transfer to the agency which is 3-4min by car away. Waiting was a bit long… but it is cheap so that Goes with it.
Everything went Well, we brought the car after 17 days, without any issue, we got our deposit released from the crédit card, they brought us back to the airport.
Positive expérience, we recommend.

I have to give 1 star to review this company but it deserves zero stars.
We were not met promptly at the airport but when we did find the representative he said we should wait a few minutes as he was dealing with another customer. We waited for 1.5 hours. He never returned so at 02:30 we had to find alternative transport. They don’t reply to WhatsApp. They don’t answer calls. They don’t have an office at the airport. AVOID!

Dishonest company. Avoid. They charge extras for not returning a clean car - I had the car cleaned at the hotel and all we did was a 50 km drive to the airport. Their full insurance does not count if you have a scratch on the car but you don’t know who did it. They don’t have an office, you have to go to the other side of the airport and have to wait until someone comes and gets you whenever it suits them. Our contact person was Ayush. Don’t book with this company!

SCAM - no one greeted us, waited over 30 mins for a person to show up (ayub) got to the car - in a open car park and they operated out of the back of one of the cars ( I was horrified). From get go Ayush tried to rip us off - we had prepaid for additional fully comp
Insurance, Ayub said it was not valid and did not cover us for anything, wanted us to buy additional insurance from him and ironically it was the same amount as I had prepaid. Ayush only wanted cash- he tried every trick in the book even saying if a coconut fell on the car that it would not be covered unless we bought the insurance from him in cash. This was the worst experience I have ever faced. We did not take anything extra from this cowboy company. The return service was excellent and quick. I am guessing the by insisting for cash this guy would keep the cash on the returnof the car - what a rip off and Iwould never recommend this company. Word of caution to anyone renting from this company - takeout your fully comp
Insurancebefore you leave your home country don’tpay them anything especially cash and take as many photosos of the car as you can as they will try to rip you off especially if you are in a hurry to catch your flight. BEST TO AVOID THEM ALL TOGETHER

I paid an extra for GPS when I booked this through Car Flexi
When I picked up the car from Mauriconnect I asked where the gps was and was told that because of the signal problem on Mauritius GPS is not possible. Talking to various people this I discovered was a complete lie and it is now 4 weeks after emailing on a number of occasions I still await a response
So my conclusion is mauriconnect lie and do not respond to emails asking for a refund
I would avoid them like the plague

Beware - Scam!
I booked this car rental through Discovercars.com.
Once receiving a car, I took a video of 99% of the car's surface. Once returning it in the airport, they went directly to look below the front bumper (yes, that was the scammer's plan) where they pointed to one small scratch (it fell into 1% of the surface I didn't record). I have almost 20 years of driving experience, and I barely drove 250km with this car, I'm confident I didn't damage it.
They asked me to pay for it, and threatened me with taking the deposit (EUR 650) they held. I did my best I could to fight for my rights. Since my flight was very close, I couldn't risk it so I had to pay them something. They asked for EUR 100, then after bargaining, I gave them EUR 50, they released my deposit, and I left.

Had amazing experience with these guys.Very professional staff.
They guide from the start till the end.
That full coverage insurance was worth it as I had a scratch on my rear bumper.

The full insurance ive took with them was much helpful as my left mirror was damaged in a parking and there was no evidence.

I had been to Maurtius with my family from 19th May, 2023 to 26th May, 2023.
I hired car through Discover cars, they had tied up with Mauriconnect car rental.
Entire ordeal started after I landed at airport.
1. Nobody at the airport, i kept on looking for 30 minutes than they were seen.
2. After picking up the car, i left.
3. After 3 days of driving I realized that back tyre had less air pressure and realized it was a puncture.
4. Since i had taken a insurance I called up Mauriconnect guys in the evening and asked them to fix it up (24x7) assistance which is completely an eye wash..
5. No one reached out to me till next day 11 AM (i atleast reached my apartment hence i do not have to bother), what if i had a flat tyre in middle of highway, should i be standing whole night waiting for them. Thus 24x7 assistance is completely hopeless
6. After 6 calls they reached my apartment at 11 Am, half day of my holiday got wasted.
8. Matter didnt end there, after i reached airport it was raining, at the time of handover they were scanning the car like microscope.
9. Finally they found small black dot below the front bonot and they started saying that car is damaged.
10. When i strated arguing that no customer will look below the car to check if things are alrigth are not. You will appreciate after seeing the photos. I had used care in South Africa, UK, Scotland and i had never faced such problem in my life.
11. They started threatening that they will call police as i am arguing.
12. Since i was with my family, i told them you charge the amount what you feel like.
13. They charged me 10000 Maurtiun rupee for a small black dot below the bonot, see the photo
14. This company pays employee to find out some or the other fault in the car, which is generally left before customer picks up so that later they can charge and cheat the customers.
15. My suggestion to fellow travellers do whatever you want but never ever hire a car from Mauriconnect car rental.
16. They are there to cheat customers nothing else.
17. I had a insurance with Dicovery car and i was reimbursed the amount, still i am posting this reveiw so that no fellow travelled should be cheated by Mauriconnect car rental. Avoidable at all cost. However if you end with them after booking car with aggregator like Discover car/ Econony car rental, just ensure you have a insurance otherwise be ready to be cheated

Das gemietet Auto war voller Beulen und Kratzer. Bei der Abgabe wurde so lange gesucht bis 2 (angeblich) neue, kleine Kratzer gefunden wurden. Dafür wurden Reparaturkosten verlangt - obwohl bisher keine Lackreparaturen ausgeführt wurden.
Zusätzlich - das Bordentertainmentsystem lief nur auf Japanisch

A scam. Avoid at any cost.
We just rented a car for one week. The car was full of scratches, so they made a brief overview of the car in front of us and suggested we had to take pictures of the vehicle Then when we returned, they made a detailed scrutiny of every scratch and dent and they charged us for the repair (which obviously is never carried out, since the car was already full of scratches).

Beware of hidden costs. They charge you with a different exchange rate if you pay by card. Also, at drop off I I was asked to pay a cleaning fee because the car had some sand inside. This was not mentioned in the contract nor was I informed at pick up. They confirmed that they forgot to tell me but still they made me pay the fee.
Slow pick up and very slow drop off.

Simply a fraud company. I have never experienced anything like it ... and I have rented a lot of cars around the world.
They post very low prices online, you book it and when you end up at the desk they tell you - this was a mistake from our partners, we cannot give you the car for this price. We can give it to you "if we add 1 zero to the amount you booked it for"!?! Stay away, there are many other rental companies in Mauritius.

Scam, scam, and scam. Please try to avoid this company when traveling to Mauritius.

First of all, we received an email promising that a member of staff will wait for us in the arrival gate with our name in a paper. After 1 hour nobody came.
Second: we tried to call them but phone number doesn't longer exist.
Third: we booked a car, and they tried to give us a lower category.
Fourth: they said us that the insurance we book from Europe is not valid and they force us to pay about 120 EUR just because. When we complain, they just said: no money, no car.
An finally the Suzuki swift they delivered to us after 1 hour had a mirror broken replaced with other model useless that not allowed us to use it.

Avoid at all cost, they keep your deposit no matter what.

I rented a car for 4 days. There was no issue at all, car was in perfect condition, they signed off the paperwork and said I would get my deposit in 4-7 days.
After 2 weeks I called them, said we didn't get it back, they apologized and said they would do it immediately. But nothing.
A week later I whatsapped them, same thing, apologies, promises, and nothing.
A week later, again.
A week later, again.
A week later, I threatened to start litigation procedures.
They finally wired me some money, but not the full deposit...
I asked them for the complement, they apologized, promised and nothing happened.
A week later, reminder, apologies, promises and nothing.
It has now been 10 weeks, and I still have not recovered my entire deposit, despite losing hours to harass them.

AVOID AT ALL COST!

We hire Harris Bann (mauri connect)every year and can recommend the company for excellent service, good reliable cars and a price that's hard to beat - cheaper/better deals of course for the longer you rent. Mauri Connect also used this company for around 12 years.
