Went in to store to purchase a pair of boots and realised that the lady who served me (Ceyhan) was the girl that sold me a pair of boots exactly a year to the day and was as then, so helpful and polite. Looked at three pair and was impressed as she was not pushy, let me take my time and seemed so knowledgeable. On leaving, I spoke to her colleague Darren who was also ever so courteous. Both are a credit to the store which incidentally is well laid out, clean and full of amazing items. Thank you.

I recently bought my own first pair of walking boots from Millets Darlington and was so impressed with the support and comfort they gave me while getting into hiking that I came back to find a pair for my son.

The experience we had was genuinely brilliant, and Jennifer deserves a special mention. She was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. My son is 7 and autistic, and he communicates in his own way, but Jennifer never rushed him or spoke over him. She took the time to properly engage with him, measure his feet, and help him try several different pairs of boots until we found one that was comfortable and supportive for him.

What really stood out was how thoughtful she was. She even offered to turn the heater off and lower the music volume to make the environment more comfortable for him. Small things like that make such a big difference, and it honestly meant a lot to us.

You can tell when somebody genuinely cares about people, not just making a sale. Shopping can sometimes feel stressful with a child who needs a little more patience and understanding, but Jennifer made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable for both of us.

Huge thank you to Jennifer and the team at Millets Darlington. We’ll definitely be back.

The shop staff are wonderful.

I just want to say a huge thank you to the gentleman and lady who have served me at Millets over the past few weeks and today . I’ve been in three times recently trying different items, and each visit they’ve been there and have been absolutely fantastic.

Their customer service is exceptional, genuinely friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no matter how many questions I had or items I wanted to try. They made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free, which is something you don’t always find these days.

It’s rare to come across such consistently great service, and they are a real credit to the store. I’ll definitely be back because of them.

Went in for a pair of boots, Jenny was dead canny and couldn't have been more helpfull.

She was really knowledgeable about what they had in stock and what would fit whilst being right for what is wanted them for. Jenny was cheerfull, polite and uber helpful throughout the process. Wouldn't hesitate to ask for her help again.

After a fruitless day touring the big stores for a pair of walking boots, it was a real pleasure walking into Millets where I was greeted by the staff and then served excellently by Jade, went away a happy customer with some new boots!

Both staff working Jenni & kai were very welcoming. Jenni is always very polite and remembers her customers by name engaging and helping make people who are not big shopping fans feel more at ease.

Wanted to purchase a pair of boots/shoes to wear on the allotment and unsure of which to get due to fit as left foot is slightly smaller. The lady CEYHAN seemed very knowledgeable, was patient and not pushy at all. It was a pleasure to shop at Millets so much so, that I went to the shop the next day and purchased a waterproof jacket. Jade was very helpful. She dealt quickly and pleasantly with my requests. The shop in Darlington was tidy and easy to browse. I came home with 2 pairs of shoes and a set of socks. Exactly what I was looking for.

I was struggling to find some good outdoor stuff and then went to millets in Darlington town, I met this guy called James, a good shop assistant who helped me for an hour until I find what I needed. He not just sold the items but also provided Good info. He should be the manager, he can make more people like him. I spent £250 in one go and I am happy for the products.
