I have been using Miray HDClone for a very long time in my computer repair work. When it is set up correctly, it has always worked awesome for cloning and imaging PCs.

One thing I learned: do not put your own extra files on the HDClone USB. Leave it alone as it is, because adding extra files can cause problems. That mistake was my fault, not Miray’s.

Their support still replied fast and helped with patience. A special thank you to Emina for the excellent support. No worries when Emina is there to help!

I started with the free version of Miray HDClone in 2005 to clone failing hard drives to restore onto new larger drives for friends/customers. Over time upgraded to a paid version because it's faster. I routinely SmartImage or BitImage my Win11 SSD, ZorinOS SSD & 4Tb Hdrive as well as my daughters computer drives & treat them like backups, these can be mounted in Windows to drag a file from if needed (rarely do this). Either way can Restore SSD drives in less than 20min (longer for the 4Tb H/Drive). Connect the drive holding the images, boot a small ISO file on a USB stick to start the process (can boot from CD/DVD) - I restore from a spare large hardrive (fastest) but have trialed a restore over a network & from my server (slower but works). Images can be made in Windows but still prefer to boot from a USB stick & let it shut down when finished. I try to HDClone an image prior to Win11 Updates.. I only use a few of HDClone's many options but it has never failed me. I've experimented with trial software or deleted Windows files (MSedge) that caused Win11 to crash.. just restore an image I'd made prior to meddling & back to normal. I've emailed Miray 2 times in 20yrs, they have always replied < 24hrs - Aust. time zones & all. I have peace of mind not having to reinstall Windows & all the purchased programs if a drive or Win11 crashes.
