Gemma is an absolute gem — could not recommend her more!
As first time buyers, my husband and I were completely new to the whole process of buying a home and honestly didn’t know where to start. Gemma came highly recommended to us through family — my brother-in-law and his wife had used her when they bought their home a year ago and couldn’t speak highly enough of her. Now we know exactly why!
From the very beginning Gemma was an absolute superstar. She was always on the ball, incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that made sense to us without ever making us feel silly for asking questions.
No matter how many times we reached out she was always there — patient, kind and genuinely invested in helping us get to where we needed to be. There were moments throughout the process where things felt overwhelming but Gemma’s guidance and reassurance kept us going.

We honestly can't thank Gemma and Toby enough for everything they did for us. Our mortgage situation wasn't the most straightforward, and at times the whole moving process felt quite overwhelming, but they were there to support us every step of the way.

What a difference a year makes!
Last year we had an awful experience trying to remortgage with another broker and had to end up pulling the plug on the process. We decided to pause and revisit in 2026 and went with Mortgage Medics this time. Hi John. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Feedback like this is really important to us. I’ve reviewed your file and spoken with your adviser Harvey to understand what happened with your recent remortgage review.
I can see that Harvey reviewed the whole of the market and presented you with options from your current lender as well as the best deals from other lenders. Having not had a response from you after a couple of weeks he then contacted you to let you know that lenders were increasing interest rates due to knock on effects from the conflict in the Middle East.
Due to the difference between your current lender and the best deals elsewhere being marginal, and the time pressure, you asked us to secure the deal with your current lender. Harvey spoke with you after normal working hours to confirm the product and secured this for you before it was withdrawn.
As a result, you secured a deal which will save you more than £1,200 over the next 2 years compared to the higher rate that would have applied had the deadline been missed. Rates are currently around 1% higher than the deal you secured, so acting when we did was certainly the right thing to do.
During March we saw lenders increasing rates on a daily basis and unprecedented demand to secure new deals for clients. We reached out proactively to many clients including yourself to do everything we could to avoid you missing withdrawal deadlines and ending up with a more expensive mortgage product. As a result we had to streamline our processes to manage the volume of work and I appreciate that may have made you feel as though you were being rushed into a decision.
I’m sorry if you felt rushed or if the wider context of what was happening with interest rates wasn’t clearly explained. However we were acting in your best interests at all times and Harvey clearly stated that the product could be changed or cancelled if you changed your mind and better rates became available.
I hope this summary helps you feel that the fee you paid us was worthwhile and we did more than simply retain you with your existing lender. We value your business and hope you will engage with us again when your current deal ends.
